Mallus Restaurant

P: 01622 947424

Rating: 4.7 (502) Price Level:

Food was very tasty and service very good. I had the non-vegi Thali, which was a selection of 7 meat, fish and lentil dishes, rice and bread. It also included a small delicious tomato & coconut soup as a starter and a very interesting small dessert made with lentils, coconut milk and brown sugar. Excellent value for money and a great way to try different dishes. We had poppadums and samosas to start - all very good. And a delicious mint and lime cocktail.

One of the best restaurants in Maidstone - delicious, authentic French food that never disappoints, with an amazing selection of patisseries! Went for our wedding anniversary a week ago, had been years since we'd been so was nice to go again. Our food was mostly perfect with the exception of the Seabass, which was slightly over cooked and the plate was served with sauce over the sides. My Sole was fantastic, as was the rabbit tart, blue cheese and walnut salad and our Tart au citroens. We were given the choice of where we wanted to sit by a well-dressed gentlemen who couldn't have been nicer. A couple of gripes, though! If you want a soft drink then there is no drink menu for this and when asked it was Coke, lemonade, rhubarb press and one other which I can't remember. All again with lemonade if we wanted. I'd seen ginger ale and others in the fridge later on but was a bit disappointed not to be told this. Also, when our cutlery was cleared by the same waiter after our mains, he just put the cutlery in the middle of the table for us to sort ourselves. Little things may be, but make all the difference on a special night. Would definitely recommend and go back but won't be in a massive rush.

Staff - friendly and accommodating. Took us as walk ins, and sat us away from the crowd as we had a sleeping baby with us. Food - served quickly and perfectly at lunch time. A french omelette and chips, amazing. Only personal improvement - could have had more blue cheese melted into it! Ha. Also, the pastries are heavenly. Well done and thank you.

Indulgence

123 Week St, Maidstone ME14 1RF, UK | Restaurant
P: 01622 545344

Rating: 4.3 (353) Price Level:

I love this place for brunch. It has every option from healthier to, you guessed it, indulgent. The service was amazing, Stan was great. The only downside is that there is a lot of space and the decor can look a bit unfinished. All that space can impact the atmosphere when not packed. I'm saying this mainly so that others are not put off by it looking a bit empty, or tired. It is 100% worth a visit.

Family friendly, manager was really kind to talk us through the menu. Dessert selection was out of this world. Brunch we ordered veg breakfast and avocado and egg which was amazing. I ordered a hazelnut latte which for me was better than my usual Costa brand. Husband ordered a fresh mint tea which he said tasted really nice. Fully halal menu too along with prayer space if needed.

If there was a sixth star, it would have been deserving of it. The atmosphere was so lovely. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The service here is incredible. I had the best latte I've ever had here. It was just so impressive. I will definitely be back here in a few days' time. Unfortunately, I was too dazed to remember taking pictures of this lovely place. But it has to be one of the most beautiful places in Maidstone town centre. Although I won't call it cheap, I think every penny spent here would be money well spent. I also tried the smoothie, and it was a really well made drink. Overall, it was flawless. I might get addicted to visiting this place

Took my mum out for lunch & really enjoyed our time at The Herbalist. We started off with some cocktails which were fabulous & then had food. The pizzas are fantastic & I really enjoyed the vegan option of battered banana flowers with chips, mushy peas & tartare sauce. I love how all the elite pubs have a similar decor theme but individual to each restaurant. Will definitely be back.

Pretty nice place for food. I've been a few times now and overall had a great experience. Food comes quickly and is nice. The food isn't mind blowing but it is nice and I have not had a bad meal. The staff are nice, pleasant and attentive. I would recommend the buttermilk chicken thigh burger, it is a lot for food for your money and it's tasty too.

Great place ,I really enjoyed the cocktails! The food was delicious and delivered in good time ,I didn't feel we was waiting too long. We couldn't fit in a pudding (which is surprising for me because I'm a pig !) ,but they did look delicious! They have a great selection of cocktails 🍾, the only downfall for me was it was very noisy ,but that's what you get in a large restaurant....I just find it quite alot and of you are someone who struggles with that you may want to request a quieter spot in the corner or something

I recently went to the Yew Tree for a Sunday Roast and I personally think it was one of the best I have had in the Kent area. The meat was beautifully cooked and the vegetable had their own individual flavours. The service was great and my family had a really nice time. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for the perfect roast and atmosphere.

The Potting Shed

Horseshoes Ln, Langley, Maidstone ME17 3LZ, UK | Bar
P: 01622 862112

Rating: 4.4 (2083) Price Level:

It was a nice experience. We only went to the restaurant for food and didn't stay in the rooms so cannot comment on those. The staff were friendly and attentive. Service was really quick. The food was presented nicely, tasted good, and portions were a good size. There was a varied menu so you could find something to eat for most dietary requirements. It was a tad on the expensive side in my opinion, which is why the rating is 4/5*. We went for the 5 plates for ÂŁ32 between 2 of us which was a good amount of food. There was lots of free parking available. Inside the restaurant was clean and rustic. Quite pretty with the decor. There is a nice outside area too. It was busy but not too loud that we couldn't hear what members of our group were saying. There were kids there so I'd say yes it's family-friendly.

First visit to the Potting Shed, a large indoor restaurant with plenty of seating inside and out in the garden. Plenty of parking too. Waitress was very friendly and efficient. I ordered the pizza Caesar, which came with a smoked salmon, anchovies and rocket topping. I ordered extra anchovies for a small price. I was not disappointed, the pizza was lovely and it was a good size too. My friends both ordered the steak ciabatta but both were disappointed at the amount of cheese which sat on top of the steak. They considered the price a little on the high side. The bill included a 12.5% service charge too. I would definitely visit again to enjoy one of their pizzas. The menu was quite extensive and it was difficult to make a choice.

We ate here last night as the food at our hotel wasn't very good. The parking was great and it waa easy to find We had the best pizza we've had for a long time and the value for money was brilliant. It cost half what we paid at our hotel the night before and the quality of the food and service was far superior at the potting shed. If we're in the area again we will definitely be back.

I booked this place for my partner’s birthday a couple of months ago. From the food to the atmosphere, everything was spot on. The starters as well as the mains were exquisite, and the service was impeccable. We did get slightly interrupted by an unwanted guest (a bee), but the staff handled it well! The food we ordered was: calamari and bruschetta (for the starter) and steak+fries as well as seafood risotto. I could not recommend this place more!

Staff were always checking to see if everything was ok, checking if we wanted more drinks and helping out whenever we needed anything. I just wanted to say thank you for being so helpful and accommodating to a large party of diners you really made it easy and I would recommend 100%. Thank you.

I had a lovely festive evening out recently! The food was top-notch, especially the spaghetti carbonara and the baked chocolate cookie dough – both were delicious and presented beautifully. The atmosphere was exactly what I hoped for, really festive and welcoming. Although the service was generally warm and friendly, the speed could have been a tad quicker, but it didn’t ruin the experience. Overall, I can't wait to return for more of those tasty dishes!

Sherbet Dip was our host and she was brilliant, getting everyone up and dancing and singing along. She has a Gorgeous voice too! The drinks flowed a plenty, but as a non drinker I had a yummy mocktail so wasn’t left out at all. Food was good too, I had the Vegan burger - so they cater for all! Everyone dressed up and got into the spirit of the night. Definitely recommend.

We visited Tobi's restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday, the atmosphere is topnotch, the service was great and alot faster. We were four in numbers. We ordered assorted peppersoup, suya, asun, prawns, edikaikong, croaker fish, bitterleaf soup with pounded yam and they tasted nice except that I didn't like the sweet chilli in the prawns. Overall, Tobi is a nice place to have your events, just book your table in advance and probably book your food in advance too. Also, the uncle that served us has good customer service.
