My wife and I have been patients at Pennypot Dental for a number of years, under the original guidance of Doctor Omar (now at the Ashford practice) and now Doctor Sunuka. Doctor Sunuka makes us both very welcome, asks about the family and is prepared to listen. She always explains the details of any treatment necessary on the visit, guiding us through the process throughout. She is exceptional in every way. Thank you.

Lucy, the hygienist, efficiently assisted by Alison, did a thorough job of cleaning my teeth. What I especially noticed was that there was absolutely no physical pain in the process- a really precision job! I was also given specific advice regarding care for my wisdom teeth. For those that find visiting a dentist practice daunting, there is the bonus of being in a beautiful and ancient building with the best views of the Cathedral! I recommend this Practice.

I have no words to describe the exceptional service I receive from the team, and especially from Dr. Ioannis, the dentist. He took on a patient with numerous dental issues and, with patience and perseverance, is working diligently to improve the situation. So far, I am completely satisfied with their services and care. Another noteworthy aspect is that both Dr. Ioannis and the staff are incredibly polite, kind, and always willing to help.

The Maryland Bridge that Ioannis at Burgate Dental fitted for my daughter has been superb. Along with the initial fitting we have been given a number of free check ups to make sure the Maryland is performing as it should and that there are no issues. We are over the moon with the treatment. As it was a front tooth we feel blessed to have found Burgate Dental Practice. Thank you

I had my first appointment with Dr. Basanta Shrestha at Sturry Dental Practice on 11th December. Following the extraction of my tooth, Dr. Basanta provided a clear and detailed explanation of my options, including a long-term solution with a dental implant. He was very thorough in addressing my concerns and ensuring I fully understood the process. With Christmas just around the corner, Dr. Basanta thoughtfully suggested a temporary solution using a Maryland bridge. This would restore my smile in time for the festive season—a gesture I greatly appreciated! By 20th December, the Maryland bridge was ready and installed beautifully. It looks amazing and feels like the perfect Christmas present! I couldn’t be happier with the result. A special thanks also to his nurse, Kennis Yuen, who was exceptionally helpful and explained everything in great detail, making the entire experience smooth and comfortable. Thank you so much, Dr. Basanta and your wonderful team, for your outstanding care and service!

I had seen Basanta from 9 years,I had to see him this time for an emergency appointment as I had severe toothache. I was able to see him within 90 minutes of speaking to the lovely receptionist (sorry I didn’t catch her name). A relatively pain free appointment and fully informed of what was going on and what to do next. Happy smiley face!!!!!

Fancy not being able to eat over Christmas - I can think of nothing worse. However, that was the position I was in with a fractured upper rear molar. It happened on Christmas Eve and so I sent an email requesting help not expecting to hear back for a couple of days. I was amazed to get a phone call the next day in the morning and giving me an emergency appointment on the day after Boxing Day - 9:30am. I was treated with such kindness and consideration; I cannot praise the attention that was paid to me enough!!! Thank you so much for making my Christmas! A wonderful Dental Practice that looks after all my family.

To best dentist I ever been too. Tom 100% recommend as can be fully trusted unlike Dover Priory Dental Surgery. Tom professionally cleaned my teeth the best result I ever had. Didn't need any treatment but gave me advice and tips on improving my daily routine, as plaque was showing. 10/10 – 100% Highly Recommend! Tom is honestly the best dentist I've been to. From the very beginning, he was patient, kind and professional, and thanks to him, I'm not embarrassed by my teeth anymore. I’ve always been anxious about going to the dentist, but Tom changed that. I had a broken crown and some noticeable marks on my front teeth that made me feel self-conscious. (My old dentist told me I’d need a false tooth, not ideal at 35!) Tom looked and said he could put on a new crown and clean up my teeth. He took the time to explain everything in detail, answering all my questions and making sure I understood everything. In a world where many doctors and dentists seem eager to get you in and out, Tom was the complete opposite, he took his time and I didn't feel rushed. Now, not only am I more confident with my teeth, I'm also far less anxious about future appointments. Thank you, Tom, for your exceptional care and to the awesome nurses and reception staff. I highly recommend Tom to anyone in need of a kind and skilled dentist.

Lawrence is a very gentle dentist who has painlessly looked after my teeth for 40 years. A dentist who actually makes me smile! I should have given this review a long time ago - sorry. Great communication, kindness and humour throughout my initial consultation and procedure to install posts for implants. Mark explained everything clearly and seemed very knowledgeable and confident. The team assisting him were great ( Sophie and Tim? Sorry bad memory!! ) The procedure was quite long, over an hour but it never felt too long, lots of breaks. No pain at all. Good instructions for post operative care at home.

I transferred to Carbasse from another local practice and have found the experience excellent in every respect. I registered with Tomas and, over the past year have had a number of significant procedures including a very difficult root extraction, several fillings and a dental implant. Tomas’ manner, skill, attention to detail and communication has been exemplary on every occasion and certainly my best ever experience of dentistry. The dental nurses, especially Ashley, have also been superb and the front desk reception staff are kind, knowledgeable and highly efficient. A really outstanding practice in all respects which I would recommend without hesitation.

I had not been to a dentist for 4 years and feel lucky that Carbasse was recommended to me. I had my initial appointment with Laura in April where a treatment plan was discussed in detail regarding options available to me. After a number of visits the treatment is now finished and I have the most amazing new smile. I wish I had seen her years ago. I must not forget to mention the other staff from reception to hygienists who are also all amazing. They really are a happy, friendly professional team.

I have suffered with major anxiety and fear of dentists since I was very young. However, I had a bad tooth that I had to get looked at and I was recommended Pennypot Deal. I can honestly say this is such a lovely surgery, all the staff I encountered are kind, caring and helpful. I had to have a tooth removed which I've never had done awake (only under sedation) and they talked everything through with me, held my hand and made it as easy as possible for me to cope with it. The two dentists who did my procedure are superb and I really felt looked after. Highly recommended.

Halfway through treatment, and from terrified to reassured already. Roma is so patient. She uses a dental wand which is a game changer, no massive needles. Why did I pick ADC, this is a husband and wife team, they don’t hang their reputation on anybody but themselves. Honest and transparent, no pushing more expensive options, patient led. Not the usual thing that I'd review, but it's worth doing for Pennypot. I use both the hygienist & a dentist, and they are both excellent. The service is really good as well. Reminders are sent, appointments always available (sometimes need to wait a little) and staff are always pleasant. It's such a relief to have a great dentists to go to in the current climate.
