Our first time visiting Aya Wakefield and they are FANTASTIC!! The funniest, most thoughtful staff, nothing was too much to ask. A fantastic atmosphere, decor was spot on and the service was first class. We will be returning very very soon! Thank you!!

Such an amazing place! The food was epic and the atmosphere was welcoming! Every course of the meal was perfect and if you struggle to decide, ask for a recommendation you will not be disappointed! The Baklava, Raki and Turkish Tea/Coffee was the perfect way to end the experience! Great place for any occasion! Cannot not wait to return!

Absolutely blown away.. I was initially sceptical about Turkish food having been in few before. Fortunately we ended up visiting AYA on Sunday evening. Family of 4. The food was well worth waiting for (just long enough to realise all cooked fresh) meat tender and full of flavour, rice incredible and deserts to die for. All of us including two fussy kids ended up with empty plates. I've been to many places but this is the No. 1 for me and the family to go to atm. We will come back

A hidden gem! We had such a wonderful meal last night. The service was fantastic, the food divine, and it's completely different to anywhere I'd been before. A truly authentic dining experience, and one I hope to have again!

I can’t even begin to describe how amazing my first visit to Corirama was last night. What a wonderful place. The restaurant is open Wednesday to Saturday and everything served is vegan and gluten free. We chose the combination board, where the chef chooses what you have. Everything on there was amazing. The teff bread is like nothing I’ve ever seen or tasted but it’s incredible. It’s bring your own booze, so we took some crisp, cold Riesling, which complimented the food perfectly. The service was exceptional. We were instantly made to feel welcome and the owner immediately recognised my friends who’d been before. Despite owning a coffee shop, I’m a bit of a wuss when it comes to coffee but the traditional coffee served was beautiful. Anyway enough waffle. Please try this place, it’s awesome. Can’t wait to go back ♥️

My wife and I went for an anniversary meal having heard nothing about it. Warmly greeted by the owner who couldn't have been kinder or more accommodating all evening. The food was exceptional, we ordered a couple of starters with the combination platter and every dish was different. We didn't know what to expect but the flavours were incredible and impossible to compare to a more typical cuisine. We will certainly be back and be recommending this place to everyone we know in the meantime.

I booked this for a special occasion and it didn't disappoint! From first contact with the staff on the phone they went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Parking is best at the Newmiller Dam 5mins walk down the road. It is pay and display but free after 18:00. The restaurant is amazing as soon as you walk in there are so many private areas and historical features. Spread over multiple levels with lots of bars. The build spec is top notch. The staff are exceptional. Because we have a child on the spectrum the staff went the next level to accommodate us which is very rare. The sign of well trained and professional staff. We sat in a private booth near the kitchen which was vibrant and loads of space the relax. The menu is vast with something for everyone. Classic Italian dishes but with modern twist. Good for vegan and vegetarian and they asked about allergies before ordering. All the food was delicious and cooked to perfection. I had steak and it ranked among the best I have ever had. With a kids menu which is very generous and well thought out. The staff are attentive but allow you to enjoy your space. Very impressed and planning the next trip in the near future. Highly recommend.

Booked here for my husband's birthday meal on a Tuesday whilst we were staying in the area. Couldn't have asked for better. It has the most amazing interior, different areas and a lovely cosy atmosphere. We were warmly welcomed and service was attentive and genuine. Very comprehensive menu for food and drinks it all sounded amazing. We had arancini and bruschetta to start, pizza and lamb shank for main and the most amazing tiramisu to finish. Every mouthful was delicious and flavoursome. We were served by different members of staff, all great, but Ashleigh (sp) stood out as she sorted out an extra birthday tipple for us and was happy and engaged. Lovely place which we would very happily return to if back in the area.

Excellent meal for my wife's birthday on a Saturday evening. We arrived slightly early and were shown to the bar while our table was made ready, so took advantage of getting a bottle of wine prior to sitting down. We were seated in the centre of the room, close to the old water wheel. Food was delicious and service was excellent. Had a garlic pizza bread to start, followed by a goat's cheese pizza while my wife had a salmon pasta dish. Dessert was a crème brulėe, while my wife had a liqueur coffee. Beautiful surroundings, wonderful atmosphere. Will definitely return again soon.

One of our party isn’t that mobile, and the staff were so accommodating, from letting us know where to park and being very welcoming as we arrived. We were there Sunday lunchtime, and there’s a Sunday lunch menu, but the whole a la carte menu is also available. Service was friendly and attentive throughout. The interior is stunningly decorated. 3 of the party went for the roast lunch and one from the main menu. The food was delicious and all in all a most relaxing and pleasant family time. Will certainly go back.

Hayden was warm and welcoming from the moment of walking in that made the experience as great as always. My wife and I go here most date nights as it is just a great BBQ place. The service from the whole team that looked after us was exceptional. Highly recommend going!

I turned up without booking but they managed to fit us in. Typical American diner type atmosphere but at least there was no line dancing. The brisket was not bad in flavour, but I'm full of cold, and the salad was packed out with lettuce underneath.. Staff very friendly and served us quickly. I'd certainly call in again

This place is outstanding! This was our first time here and we didn’t know what to expect! But my good gods, it was amazing. From start to finish… Liz!! Our whiskey friend! What you did fortnight dad on his birthday was just the sweetest, and because of you, we will be back! The food is excellent but the service makes this experience just that much more special! We planned a birthday dinner and visited the venue earlier in the day for some drinks. Some of the staff were exceptionally attentive, anticipating our needs with great detail. The indoor cinema and outdoor play area for kids are a bullseye 🎯 - quite obviously, the team behind it knows what they’re doing. The dishes, which have an American signature, are excellent. However, they can be quite rich. The smoked chicken and beef were outstanding, and the sides were generous, with the maple sauce being a standout. The atmosphere is inviting and relaxing, and the staff are very friendly. Plenty of parking, and the venue is easily accessible. A couple of areas for improvement: When our mains arrived, we weren’t provided with fresh plates and cutlery, as the ones from our starters had been cleared. Additionally, while we appreciate the warm service, we found that addressing guests with phrases like “thank you, boss” can feel impersonal, and somewhat distant.

Had a lovely leisurely lunch here. Great views of the park. Food good, atmosphere good. Not cheap but you can book, unlike the restaurant in the main building. Will visit again.

Probably the best curry place in Wakefield. Amazing food Great service Free car park at the rear of the restaurant or a payment car park next door. Good menu selection with lots of vegan / vegetarian options. They will also make to order Cash only, or bank transfer. Early bird menu is a good deal. Waiters Ash and “H” are very entertaining and provide good knowledge of the dishes. Food - Good flavours and decent amount of heat, lots of choice.

Probably the best in Wakefield! Always excellent food and good atmosphere with great service too. The Early bird menu is great value for money. Please note it is cash only .

My fav place to eat out! I had my Christmas dinner here and will be my new tradition! Everytime I go whether that eat in or take out, I am never disappointed the quality is consistent every time. The food is tasty and the staff can not do enough for you!

I don't usually do reviews so I'll keep it simple. The food that we had was amazing, my wife ordered King Prawn Biryani, I ordered Punjabi Lamb off the bone. Best curry we've had in a long time. Amazing service too!

Organised a party for my friends last night. Group of 16. Great food. Best lamb karahi and lovely tandoori roti were just brilliant. Many thanks to Nadeem for organising a splendid evening with beautiful food.

We came here for my parents' 40th wedding anniversary and we weren't disappointed! Sadly we weren't able to put the tables together as they were too heavy to move, but the food was absolutely delicious! We were waiting around 30 minutes for a table of 8, and the food came out scorching hot so obviously cooked fresh. The portions were very generous, and a lovely outdoor play area was perfect for my 5 year old to explore. The fact that the tables are booked up weeks in advance is a testament to the quality. They catered to dietary needs as well, and I'd happily go back any time!

We bobbed in for some lunch through a family recommendation and we wasn't disappointed. The staff were very friendly and the pub was clean and nicely decorated, they have a big play park outside so there is plenty to do if you have kids. We got sat quickly and got some drinks and ordered our food, which the food came about 15 mins later. The food was homemade and piping hot so you could see it's cooked from scratch. The food tasted absolutely amazing especially the hand cooked chips the portion size was big so you got plenty for what you pay and then some, plus the price was so reasonable we were very impressed. Overall we would definitely visit again because the food was delicious and it was a great experience and highly recommend this pub for food and a nice pint

What an amazing little place. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted with warmth and inviting atmosphere. Very clean and fantastic decor. The staff were excellent and attentive. Sorted out our table and took our order. The food was excellent and plentiful. Very filling and hot. The prices were good and not expensive for the quality of food and service. I will definitely be going back.

This place is a must visit there baguettes are to die best around. I've been plenty of time working my way the baguette section today I had steak and cheese this one is my favourite so far Prices are very reasonable with the excellent quality of food you'd expect to pay more. The staff are always pleasant and welcoming. Excellent drinks selection to pick from on the bar. Oh before I forget the cheesecake just wow Definitely one of my favourite places Nice big beer garden good in the summer

I had a fantastic dining experience at Iris! The blue cheese arancini for starter was a standout with its well-balanced flavors and lovely texture. The confit duck leg for the main course and the golden snitch for dessert were equally delicious. The service from the staff was excellent. We will definitely be returning for more delicious meals! There was also a good atmosphere in the restaurant… it was busy but not too loud which a good selection of music playing.

We received a voucher from our letting agents to try a local restaurant. We really enjoyed our meal . We had some snacks, starters, mains and an extra side . I had an aperitif drink and a wine , my husband had a cider . Without the voucher it would have been around £75. Service was good at arrival and throughout but slow in the end when wanting to pay. It’s a pretty restaurant with a nice atmosphere. I’d recommend as a good restaurant in Wakefield.

Never had a bad meal here. The best Sunday roast in Yorkshire puddings to die for! Starters are a must i can never manage a pudding as well but they looks special. Staff are very attentive.

Fantastic place with excellent food, efficient service and very good value for money. I had a starter (pigs in blankets), a beautifully cooked pork belly with a celeriac slaw and a cheese board for dessert for just over £25. Fantastic.

Visited only for Drinks with my Daughter, to watch the Live Entertainment. It can be quite busy on these Occasions and seems really popular... Drinks priced like most other places.. Although Meals are served here, I cannot comment on the Food having not eaten here... Otherwise a nice place to call for a Drink or a Singalong.

Steak & Guinness pie… best pie I’ve ever had!!!! Highly recommend this place for Sunday lunch.

We called them at the last minute, to book a table for two, thankfully they had availability. The staff were really pleasant, but the food, that was something else, we both had the Steak and Guinness pie with chips, in all honesty, it was the best steak pie I'd ever tasted. It's a little gem, right on our doorstep, yet we usually travel miles for good food, we'll certainly be going back to sample the rest of the menu.

Absolutely fantastic evening at the open mic night. Great music and Vocalists. Friendly, polite and helpful staff. Excellent food at reasonable prices, hats off to the chefs. Will definitely be coming back 👍😁
