The wait staff was great and really helped out. She made a recommendation for me that turned out really well! We ordered the mixed grill - not too spicy other than the beef, it comes with a yogurt dip to kill some of the spice. We also ordered the garlic naan, great for all purposes, probably could have just ordered one between the two of us. The chicken tikka biriyani + Bhutan sauce a little spicy for me but delicious none the less, my friend enjoyed it. And finally the chicken Makhani which was was the waitress recommended to me based upon my original order.

Came all the way over from Manchester for my first ever time at Spice Delight & was very impressed. Food and service was fantastic. The cheese & onion naan was great. Would definitely recommend & will be back! 🙂

Lovely food, lovely staff. Saw this place as we were walking to the cinema. We knew we wanted to try it. Booked a reservation for the next day no problem, will definitely be returning!

New to us & a walk in so as it was busy we had to wait a few minutes to be seated. Around 50 covers so best to book if you're likely to visit at busy times. The service was prompt, the staff friendly and polite, the food to table time as quick as I think I've had. The food was delicious, we shared Shami & Seekh kebab starters between us. I had a keema vindaloo & asked for extra hot (additional green chillies) it hit the mark even without the chillies. My wife had chicken garlic main which was very tasty and had a good amount of heat too (think I'll get that next time). We both had garlic & coriander naan which were smothered in both. Good restaurant in Dean Clough mill complex. We called in with no appointment, and there was no problem getting a table. It was a quiet early afternoon. The staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. The food we chose was tasty and all prepared on site; there was one slight issue with one of our dishes and the staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating in resolving the problem, this was appreciated but not expected from us. True North is definitely worth a visit. It's a quality restaurant serving good quality food; this is our second visit and won't be our last.

Paulicarus fancied a proper Sunday roast dinner so booked a table here. Friends had been before. Sat in what apparently had once been Europe's largest carpet factory. Certainly a huge building. A starter and main for £25. Two lamb and two beef. Good veg selection. We had starters of one wings, one paté and two chose asparagus and sea bass. All excellent. Good service and good wine. No real ale so Paulicarus had a £6.00 pint of lager. Very attentive service.

The food here is absolutely fantastic, whether it's breakfast, Sunday lunch or an evening meal. This place is highly recommended, and I have been several times and will be back again in the near future. It's located in the Dean Clough Mill, complex, free parking. You will not be disappointed.

Great restaurant, great service, great food. I went with a group of 26 and I couldn't fault the service and food. All was cooked fresh and we were all served quickly and efficiently. Everyone praised the food and they catered for vegetarian and gluten free dishes with no fuss. Sam was great with the pre booking correspondence and helpful on the day. Great menu choices including beer battered fish and chips, falafel burger, chicken tikka skewers, roasted carrots and cous cous, morroccan lamb flatbread, to name just a few. Reasonable price's

Just had to share how amazing Polinos in Halifax is! We've been there a few times now, and it's totally become our go-to spot when we want to make something special. The food is just incredible—like, the pizza and pasta are next-level delicious. But let's talk cocktails for a sec. They're fantastic and honestly worth the trip alone. You've got to try the Mai Tai cocktail—it's absolutely stellar! The service is fantastic and personal, making you feel genuinely valued every time you visit. The staff really go above and beyond to make your dining experience special. If you're a steak lover, you're in for a treat. The steaks are cooked perfectly every single time. We even tried the large tomahawk sharing steak, and it was phenomenal—melt-in-your-mouth goodness! And for the size of that thing, it's actually reasonably priced. Oh, and the views! You get this beautiful landscape of the Calder Valley while you dine. It's seriously the perfect backdrop. Honestly, Polinos is well worth a visit. It blows any other Italian spot in town out of the water. Highly recommend!

Recently, my partner and I had the pleasure of dining at Polinos in Halifax, and it was a truly delightful experience. Brilliant night celebrating a 90th birthday was made to feel very welcome great atmosphere and delicious food

Visited on a Saturday afternoon, the atmosphere was amazing, the food was authentic and delicious. The service was top-notch, the coffee was hot and delicious. Will definitely be going back, even if I have to pay for myself.

This has always and will always be my favourite uk country pub. We are regulars here as it’s on our door step - whether I eat inside or out, upstairs or down, have coffee or just drinks - with or without the children EVERY time it’s perfect! The staff are extremely professional and all the ingredients they use are divine. Plus some of the best walks you could wish for but you can’t avoid a steep ascent 😜

I really enjoyed my meal and the atmosphere in the restaurant, we were a party of five, and as soon as we arrived we were treated very professionally, the table was perfect and comfortable. Although a little close to another dinners,The staff were very officiant. Good choice on the menu. I had A starter of duck liver pate, but didn't feel it had much flavour 5/10. My main was a very tasty Pork dish, with a great tasting black pudding. There was too much red cabbage but the cauliflower cheese was very nice. A good selection of drinks. Other members were disappointed with the Yorkshire Pudding which was very dry and burned. The gravy was already on the plate and would have been better in a gravy boat. I finished with the best even Sticky toffee pudding 9 /10. The price was very reasonable l had a really good experience, thank you will recommend.

If I had a criticism it was that there was too much salt in the gravy, but that's it, this place is stunning, the staff bloody fantastic and the food absolutely top notch. We came for boxing day and it was worth every penny. We'll be back.

It really is as good as it gets. Extremely well appointed and stylish rooms, Award winning restaurant with cosy bar and comfortable lounges. The staff bring the whole wonderful experience to life. I would love to keep it a secret but we all should experience the Shibden Mill Inn at least once, we hope to make a habit of it. It's worth travelling the length of the country just to enjoy it. Lovely atmosphere. Really good feel, wasn't sold in the food. Ordered the Brown Horse beef burger as did 4 others in our group and it was tough, dense hard to chew, felt like hard graft eating it. Others enjoyed their dishes though. Staff are really good, very helpful and polite.

Called in at lunchtime, spur of the moment decision and although we hadn’t booked, they squeezed us in, despite them being very busy already. I’m glad we did - it was superb. Meat lasagne, veg lasagne and the steak and ale pie. All were excellent. Lovely staff too.

My husband and I have been eating here regularly for a long time, the food is always amazing, the place is run by a family who go over and above all if the time , it’s a u pique pub and definitely worth a visit

Visited today for lunch was not disappointed the food was piping hot and delicious. The service by the two ladies waiting on was exceptional very friendly and courteous. Also visited the farm shop the service from the girl serving was excellent very friendly and amiable we will certainly be back. Thank you for the whole experience.

Proper great, tasty food at really good prices. Lovely place with welcoming staff and a decent range of drinks and a menu that will keep us going back. For an Manc urbanite, the drive at under an hour, is decent but not one I'd do in winter :( No pics as others have taken photos but definitely worth a visit. Only downside is they've missed a trick not selling rag puddings in the shop.

Came here for the farm shop but sadly was closed. We did discover the really well hidden but absolutely amazing restaurant around the back that served freshly cooked and huge portioned dishes. It’s clear where they sourced the ingredients from as it was really tasty! Highly recommended!

Not sure why I've never been here before. Lovely welcome. Very friendly and attentive staff. Excellent choice of drinks including cocktails. Early Bird menu was very good value for money and the choices were good. Very tasty food using good quality ingredients. Four very happy ladies. I would highly recommend 👌

Such a beautiful hotel with lovely grounds. My wife and I just had a nights stay (Dec 2024) with 3 course dinner and full cooked breakfast. We got married here in 2009 and hadn’t returned since 2010, so we’re excited to go back again. Was great to see Tracy was still working there, she was the rockstar of our wedding and made the day go so smoothly, while always having a big smile on her face. Everything was perfect, from the lovely charm of the house and gardens, the very friendly/accommodating staff and the food was phenomenal. We had the festive 3 course dinner, we both chose different courses and it was all so delicious and well presented. There was a wedding on at the hotel at the time we were there, but the staff do such a good job at managing the wedding party and hotel guests both barely know the other is there especially as the wedding reception room has its own bar. After dinner we spent a lovely evening having a few drinks in front of the fire (apparently famous for last tango in Halifax, I haven’t seen it). Then had a good nights sleep and a superb breakfast in the morning with full English and pasties. Can’t wait to go back!

We got married at Holdsworth House in summer 2024 and we couldn't have asked for more from a venue. We were incredibly well looked after in the build-up and the service on the day was impeccable. The quality of the food was excellent, which is not always the case at weddings. We had our ceremony in the garden, and being able to look back at the photos has reminded us how lucky we were to get married in such a beautiful setting. Thank you to all the staff at Holdsworth House.

We loved this hotel. Great staff who are obviously proud to work there. Great food and drink all sensibly priced. Lovely gardens. Some VERY old parts of the building. Fires burning in lounges and dining rooms. And so very quiet at night. Pricy but sensibly priced compared to many hotels. Only a 25 minute drive into Bradford. AND, on top of all that, The Beatles stayed there in 1964 (and many celebs and actors continue to stay there when filming in the area.

Ricci's Place offers an exceptional dining experience, with the ribeye steak being a standout dish. This was our first time eating here and we'll definitely be back. The food was fantastic with really good choices on the main menu and specials. All the food we had was so tasty and the portions sizes extremely generous. We can't wait to return!!

Not been before, not for anything other than historical reasons. Good place, attentive staff and the food was excellent. Menu is a bit limited but the specials were cracking and not overly priced. Well worth the visit

The food was delicious 😋, I had the House Lasagna with added parmesan cheese on top and for dessert I had three flavours of Gelato, vanilla, peppermint chocolate chip and strawberry flavour it was very good and a glass of iced water with a lemon slice in it, the staff were very friendly.

If you want really good food at great prices look no further than PECKISH the cafe is very clean and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful the food is high quality and the service is speedy I will not be going anywhere else. Highly Highly recommended

Great food at great prices with a big menu and even do delivery on orders over £10.00...what a whopper of a bacon butty. Clean and friendly staff and 10 item breakfast for £5.50 ...we ll be calling again. Hope you all enjoy 👍😊

Been here a few times over the past few years, but recently, we went and got a breakfast butty each. Both really nice with quality ingredients. Also very big as they only do one size. We also got a ham and cheese salad sandwich for later - also very good! They even looked after our doggo by giving her some water and a sausage. Very friendly staff. We will be back when we are in the area 😊
