Nice big car park round the back (access up the side of the pub) Stopped in for some food after a walk, really nice food, not expensive for a sit-down meal would go again.

Went here alone on a mid day weekday, service is incredible and food is incredible! Best lamb shank I have ever had, gravy absolutely divine, 10/10 for everything. Fire was on and it was love, warm and welcoming. Food and drinks came to £25 and I picked the more expensive dish on the menu so could easily be under £20 for food and drinks if you’re on a budget to eat out.

Such a great country pub! Great food (burger 10x better than The Fleece down the road), a really friendly service and good beers. Book the only table in the Snug on a winter’s evening and you’ll get a fire to yourself… perfect! 🔥

First class, service and food. Nothing too much trouble. Unlike so many eateries these days, particularly the small chains or, those that think they’ve invented dining out, these guys have a phone for booking and discussing your reservation. With no robot in sight I rang them up. Peter couldn’t have been more helpful. They made a late lunch table for 6 the next day for us and let us pre order our Sunday roast as they operate ‘when it’s gone’ for this. On the day the food was excellent, proper gravy not a processed gelatinous poor excuse in sight! Beer perfect and staff that genuinely cared. I never eat at anywhere that only uses auto booking systems or, invites you to send them a message that they may get back to you on when they fancy it. I invite you to do the same, hopefully like me you’ll end up enjoying better service and food and, who knows maybe a little revolution will begin and restaurants will be reminded who their customers are. Came to the Swann for a meal with my friend after a day out. We came in the atmosphere was absolutely amazing, we hadn’t book a table but accompanied us by offering us a drink at bar first then sat us down. The food was amazing, the burger coming out and taking us so much room on the table. Will be back again ! Never been so happy this is a local!!!
