Saw this recommendation on the Michelin website as a Bib Gourmand. High quality food at a cheaper price point than a Michelin Star. We went for a Sunday Lunch. Place was very busy and we booked online a while in advance to secure a spot. Walk-ins are welcome but at busy periods you might be disappointed in not getting a seat. Decor and atmosphere were very nice. Staff were friendly and attentive. Nice and cosy pub. Of course, the food was excellent. We had 1 minor issue with a hair in one of our starters which is why I rated it 4 stars. Stuff like this happens even in the best of places. I would go back as I think this is a one off. Apart from that, everything was great. Portion sizes for the roast were generous and the side of veg was huge. The quality of the food is amazing, everything is fresh and flavourful. You can really tell that they use high quality ingredients to get started. Plating is very pretty too if you are into that. We paid £40 per person for a 3 course Sunday lunch. After drinks and service charge it was just over £210 for a group of 4.

An excellent meal with fantastic service. A treasure in Kent. Extremely creative menu, without the fuss. My wife had the monk fish and I had the deer - and they were to die for.

We went for Sunday lunch and ate in the bar (same menu) as we had our dog with us. Food was excellent, very nice presentation, good quality ingredients and tasted great. Service was friendly and good. The whole place was as smart and clean. Highly recommend and we will definitely be going again.

The dining area is a beautiful space that can soak up both large parties and couples without too much noise. The lunch menu is very good value with everything cooked to perfection. Service was excellent too.

I was taken to the Kentish Hare for a birthday Sunday lunch. The food at this restaurant was very high quality. I had yellowfin tuna tartare starter which came with watermelon, avocado and orange ponzu, it was divine. For a main course my son-in-law and I shared a roast beef dish and I finished with Bramley apple crumble. My wife and daughter had fishcake followed by roast lamb and then Amalfi lemon parfait. The main course came with a selection of perfectly cooked vegetables. There was a good and varied wine menu and a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. I had the non-alcoholic passion fruit martino shown in the picture. It was all delicious. The portions were generous and the service was friendly, efficient and quick. The atmosphere was relaxed and we could see the chefs working in the open kitchen. I will be returning frequently.

First time visiting The View, it exceeded expectations! The food was so good you forgot that is was cooked by students. The services was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. The décor is also of great quality and all topped of with a wonderful view! Will definitely be back.

One of the best Sunday roasts I’ve ever had! Crispy potato’s and super tasty cauliflower cheese and all the sides! Generous greyvy portions which is always a plus. And perfect Yorkie! Portion of the beef could have done with one more slice (only came with 2) but it was super tasty and cooked to perfection. Pork was equally delicious, good portion size and a really generous portion of crackling We had a lovely seat in the front room for us and the dog

Visiting my partners parents for the first time. We decided to take them here to the Chaser Inn for a family meal. And what a great decision it was!!. We had a very warm welcome. The staff were absolutely phenomenal!!!, so friendly, polite and extremely professional, nothing was too much trouble, the service they provided was second to none!🌟. The food was of the highest quality and tasted superb!!🌟. The decor and atmosphere of the Inn is amazing!, with a beautiful garden perfect for the summer. The Chaser Inn is now without doubt our all time favourite place to visit now when we come to Kent. We cannot recommend it highly enough, everything was just perfect!!!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. We had Christmas dinner here, it was amazing! The beef was divine, the roast potatoes were fantastic! Very generous portions, including extra veg, gravy and roasties. Everything went like clockwork, these guys know what they're doing, very efficient. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. I can't say enough good things about this place. We had the best day, thank you so much!

I had a pleasant experience at the Half Moon Pub. The establishment was clean and tidy, and the staff were very friendly. They offered a standard selection of beers and a reasonable variety of bar snacks. The pub had a large internal space, along with a small outside garden featuring a decked area out front and a covered conservatory. Another plus was the availability of parking both at the front and rear of the pub. While I didn't try their food, I found the overall ambiance and service quite enjoyable.

Great local pub and staff are always friendly. They do some classic pub food served very casually - no gastro prices here! Sports are normally on but there's places to sit away from that if you like. Pool table at the back too. There's also some great local history which is worth looking into, especially if you're interested in world war 2. A spitfire crashed in the rear garden and some relics from that are on display, and a plaque dedicated to the pilot is above the door. There is a detailed display about a German Heinkel He111 bomber (serial number 3233, V4 + KL of 3/KG1) which crashed nearby stocks green and was displayed in the front car park to raise money for the spitfire fund during the Battle of Britain

Called in late afternoon. The only real ale was Harvey's Sussex Best but this was in good condition. A nice welcome from the owner and customers.

I cannot fault the food and staff here, they were all so lovely and the food was amazing! We celebrated a big birthday meal here because we knew it would be amazing, as always…great prices, amazing food! 10/10! They really did go the extra mile and I cannot thank them enough. Thank you!

Well were do I start this is a super place if you on your own or with a party it still very good service the staff are very Helpful the Main man there is a Called Bodrul who can not be more help so big thank to all the staff there if you love good Indian food give this a place a try there is also no problem for parking there Free they also do takeout.The only thing I didn't like the just put the drinks on the bill but they don't list the drinks so you cant see the drinks ie if you had 5 pints or 2 .

Iiving in Tunbridge wells means low quality Indian food so the Cinnamon Kitchen can easily stand out. The service was good on the whole, some staff were extremely friendly and others looked grumpy, no complaints. Starters of lamb chops, duck tikka were cooked nicely and packed flavour, presentation was good. Main course I ordered the spiciest dish, this wasn’t very hot but next time I will get them to add more chilli. I do like hot food. The rest of my party (4 in total) were happy although a couple of dishes tasted too sweet for me, but that’s me. Sides were all good including the tarka dhal . Bill? Including 3 starters , 4 mains, 2 rice, dhal , spinach side , 6 popadoms , 2 ice cream desserts, 3 beers , 2 J2Os , 2 cokes and an Irish coffee. £190 (including service charge). I wouldn’t say it was outstanding but I’ll definitely go back.

We have been travelling for a couple of months and the coffee here at Verdigris is the best we have had in that time. The location is just lovely, fresh daffodils on the tables, great service. Each drink at our table was delivered with a Madeline. I have a wheat allergy and I asked if there was wheat in the cake. There was tho the sweet girl came back with a gluten free biscuit for me to have instead. Wow, such thoughtfulness 🤩 We won’t forget them and will return when in the area again 👌🏻👏🏻🤩 Thank you 🌸

Nice quiet place by the river. Good selection of veggie options, and the food is presented and tastes great whilst the prices were still reasonable. It has outdoor seating too, that even on a cold grey day; it was still nice to sit there and have a tasty lunch.

Popped in for a coffee to meet up with a friend. Cannot comment on the food but the plates brought out looked nice enough. A very relaxed place with music just below conversation level so didn't have to shout. Excellent location in town and a perfect place to meet up. The decoration is tasteful enough to give the place a nice ambiance.

Verdigris is always incredible, fantastic food and atmosphere. They always take note of requests and staff are so friendly and attentive. They go above and beyond to make each visit memorable. Had a high table on the terrace which was awesome! Best views over the river and the cheese board and rose were so delicious (and very instagrammable haha) Very enjoyable afternoon! I have attended twice as part of a large walking/ dog walking group. We were given the back room on both occasions , which was perfect as we were wet and muddy. We recently stayed in a family room whilst visiting a wedding. The room had all the cots we requested/needed which was great. Room as expected, good overall. The service was fantastic though, after my wife dropped an earring in the sink and Thierry spent some time taking it apart so we could get it back - thank you!
