Great experience, we were given the warmest welcome by all of the staff and our dogs were given a little dog biscuit each and a bowl of water on arrival. The food was lovely, good ingredients cooked perfectly. The restaurant looked clean and was a good atmosphere. We were served by Abigail who was so incredibly friendly and helpful, it was clear that she genuinely cared about providing the best service, she spoke so positively of the restaurant, and is the reason we will return again.

Brilliant evening! Food incredible and staff were friendly and welcoming. Wheelchair guests was able to get in with a little help from the ramp (board) staff put out for us, fully accessible toilet (double rails for both sides of toilet). Definitely recommend everything about the place! Can't wait to return!

Really enjoyed a meal on Christmas Eve. My mum has mobility difficulties but this was no problem. The food was great. There are the usual suspects on the menu but there's also a good range of different dishes from Bangladesh that makes this place special.

We visit Secret Spices frequently, food quality is extremely high, service fantastic and lovely environment. We have tried every single curry house in the area and Secret Spices trumps them all. Crisp Kingfishers too! Dangerous Curry is good if you like a bit of spice 🥘 Convenient parking🅿️

We have always ordered take away from this restaurant but decided to eat in for once and honestly I can’t fault it. The service was amazing, super friendly and welcoming. The food was served quickly and it may possibly be the best meal I have ever eaten in my life. If I could give more than 5 stars I would, 100% recommend!

Went for a Sunday roast last weekend and it was absolutely divine. Everything was tasty and a good size portion. I had the chicken. It was so good, my friends had the pork and they loved it. Probably the best roast I’ve had this year. Amazing people that work there too will definitely be back! X

What a great place, food and service were spot on. Little change to my meal but just improved it when something was running low. Had a couple of starters,small dishes, and a side all out at once, tapas style all tasted amazing. Highly recommend.

The stand out experience was definitely the Ribs. It was one of the best I've tasted. One of the most expensive on the menu at £17.50 but well worth it in today's prices. Came with beautiful crispy chips, slaw and corn on the cob. We came I early and had to do with a small table for two, we asked to move but we're told all tables were booked. However, they soon came back offering to move us to a larger table that was free. A pint was actually cheaper than the pubs around the area. Would definitely come back on my next trip to Margate.

They make a seriously delicious Creole fish stew here. I think it was only 18 pounds and you get fresh and juicy seafood paired with the richest tomato broth. Came here on a weekday so there was only one waitress but she was kind and helpful throughout the lunch. I’m honestly surprised by how quiet it was, given the high quality of food and affordable menu.

I'm no expert on Bajan food, but it was delicious and just the right level of spice.

Amazing quality for the price. The staff were lovely, and the food was very tasty. We had a curried scallop and jerk sausage for starter which was really good. My partner had the jerk burger and I had the Curried Goat. Both were really good, but I would have liked more heat in the curry. I asked to swap the rice for plantain and they were very happy to accommodate me, which was lovely. We had 1 starter 2 mains and 4 double gnts for about £65, for the quality of the food the price is amazing.

What a lovely service and exceptional food quality. The sharing platter includes perfectly grilled meats full of fantastic flavour. No way you can ever achieve this taste grilling at home. No compromise on quality is the best approach to see the same customers again. Good news if this time Margate is not your destination - they have more brunches on the east coast including Deal. Special thank you to the young mum - she offered genuine smile which was an amazing addition to our meal.

It was one of the best Turkish meals I've tasted. Everything was fresh and tasty, well presented. The Turkish wine was excellent. Roman, our waiter was attentive to the needs of the children, and we met Chef Harun after the meal to personally thank him. The jug of water had sliced lemon. Toilets are downstairs in this large venue. Good for functions or large groups.

This place is worth a visit for the artwork on the walls, let alone the food, which was excellent, accompanied by great service. Definitely booking a return visit when I'm next in Margate.

I took my husband here for a birthday lunch today & the service, food and entire atmosphere was just super. There was a miscommunication with my order, however, it was dealt with swiftly and with such compassion. I was given a complimentary drink plus they did not charge me for my main, which again demonstrates the professionalism, consideration and respect for their customers time. It was our first time here & we shall definitely return. Just to reiterate..the food was absolutely delicious! Simply scrumptious.

Got a lovely table in a separate room away from the noise of the bustling restaurant. Food was delightful, rustic and charming. The person working (his name escapes me now, sorry!) was so lovely and informative, about everything from the hospitality initiative they were supporting, where the ingredients are sourced, and what the dishes were. We left full to the brim, and we didn't even touch desserts. Perfect, warming, delicious meal away from the storm. 🐶 Dog friendly too

Super find this is the wine bar associated with the restaurant, so authentically Italian. The parmigiana was wonderful, the service and atmosphere special, will be back. Highly recommended

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Margate. Located at the heart of old town Margate. It is a small restaurant, and not quite easy to get a table, so recommended to book a table in advance. We got mussels to share, it was cooked in a creamy tomato sauce. And I got spaghetti with bream topped with breadcrumbs. Food was delicious and the atmosphere was so nice.Pasta is freshly made and they have a different menu each day. Highly recommend to anyone who loves Italian food.

Loved this place. Great setting, awesome vibe and really on it customer service. We tried a fair selection of the menu and our favourites were the peppers, prawns (especially the garlic parsley sauce they came with), tomato salad (particularly the dressing), and the blue cheese and dark chocolate desserts. And our Aperitifs and chilled Italian red wine topped it all off. Watch out when it's windy/the waves are crashing against the harbour wall as you might get a little wet!

Excellent selection of weird wines. Dark chocolate dessert sent me to space. Only drawback was they had ran out of oysters by the time we got there; noone was to blame but my heart broke, bet they would have been amazing. Still got our fish fill with the amazing anchovies and rosemary oil and the surprisingly delicious tuna and tomatoes. brilliant meal !!

Stopped here for lunch earlier today and the food hit the mark. All dishes were really good and portion sizes are good too. Definitely get the tuna with the beans which was really nice and the sole with the seaweed butter was incredible - the greens cut through the butter sauce and the lemon zest just adds that additional zing. Great dish!

Went to this restaurant for my anniversary lunch and this did not disappoint. I felt slightly anxious as I did see some bad reviews and was going to go to Angela’s. I am SO glad I decided to come here as me and my partner LOVED the food. The mussels and squid sandwich were particularly delicious and we had really nice ginger drinks to accompany the food. 3 small plates and bread, butter and two drinks was around £60. Would recommend for a special occasion. The service was also great and very friendly (quite the opposite of what I’d read)

Dory’s was just the best experience for us! The food was so fresh and there were so many beautiful flavours in each dish, everything was delicious. It is kind of a tapas style, the dishes are quite small, but it means you can try a lot of different dishes. There is also a brilliant selection of drinks, the cocktails and the wine were both great. We went on a lovely day, looking out to the sunset over the sea and it was just perfect! I would definitely recommend booking as people were having to be turned away on a saturday evening. The staff were lovely and helpful but due to how busy it was we had to wait a bit here and there. It was beyond worth the wait though, it is absolutely worth a trip to Dory’s!

The food was really tasty and fresh. We understand that they try to use locally produced food with organic veggies and their home grown one. The wines thawed we tried by the glass were really very nice. The let down was the cheese as you only get one cheese for £10 , not the usual cheese selections. Also the majority of the food are cold dishes. There is only one warm dish, but only the fish was warm, the vegetables that goes with it was cold.

Went with friends, had lovely supper near the seaside. The lady recommended us the smoked prawn with alioli sauce, which was the best prawn I ever had! Somehow the drink was a bit late and the wine we ordered had run out, but the staffs were willing to suggest the solution and we were all happy with it Recommend for smaller party size since the dishes are too good and might have to fight with your friends lol

I had a great lunch there on a Sunday before heading back to london the food and drink was really good and Emma who served me was lovely. Highly recommend

Went on a Saturday as soon as the restaurant opened at noon - managed to get a lovely spot on the terrace with a relaxing seaside view. We ordered various seafood dishes including a whole crab, a hot platter, a single oyster and also chips on the side. Have to say everything was simply fresh and excellent - prices reflected the quality and the portions well! The waiter serving us was also polite and knew how to be friendly without being too bothersome which we appreciated. All in all, if you're visiting Margate and only have room for one nice meal, then this is the place!
