🤩 Took a trip from Margate especially to revisit Marleys. Their service is fantastic and food is just delicious ! Excellent prices for the quality of the food you are getting. So much cheaper than Margate cafes 💰 🐶🛑 NOTE: the cafe js NOT dog friendly if you want to eat a meal (u can have a coffee at the front) so you have to leave your furry friend at home!

Popped in here for a lite lunch before hitting the harbour. We were seated quickly without booking, which was great for a Sat. The food was good, but large portions, so be aware.

We were lucky to get a table for early dinner and were not disappointed. The smashed burger was delicious and the service was fantastic and friendly. Food was hot and we hardly waited ten minutes. Great that it’s not overpriced and they don’t automatically add service charge to your bill. We shall definitely return soon. give the overpriced harbour arm a miss and visit this gem

Marley's is amazing. I have been here a couple of times with friends and family and I have never been disappointed. Both times I have been here have been for breakfast. The first time I had their version of a fry up and the second time I had pancakes. The fry up was amazing. Really nice sausages and eggs and it was all locally sourced. The pancakes were peanut butter and strawberry. The peanut butter was made at Marleys and I did ask if I could buy some. The price is fair as well and very good value as they make some of the food and buy locally. If you are coming for the pancakes it's worth knowing that they change the topping week to week so look at their Instagram.

Lovely meal, great service. The sharing platter for starters was really nice. For mains, I would highly recommend the pork belly or the steak. Went for an anniversary meal and every staff member to came to the table wished us a happy anniversary and had a little personal note on the table it was a nice touch 😊

Dr Legumes

Rating: 4.9 (187) Price Level:

Wonderfully creative vegan food, that deserves a Michelin Star ⭐⭐⭐ There is something quite delightful about not having to ask "is this vegan?"! We're always delighted with flavour profiles, the inventive team come up with. We shared 4 small plates, and only just had enough room for pudding... Which you must not miss! Cosy and intimate, but not stuffy. If you've not been, do it!

In the heart of Folkestone, this vegan gem offers a delightful brunch experience. With a clever menu overlap between breakfast (10-3) and lunch (12-4), you're spoilt for choice. The pea pancakes were a surprising hit - even for our pea-skeptic child! Paired with yogurt and stewed fruits, it's a flavour combo that works. My nourishing bowl of kale, sauerkraut, tempeh, mushrooms, and rice was a wholesome delight. The relaxed atmosphere and good tunes create a perfect backdrop for people-watching as Folkestone's tourists stroll by. Ample seating options cater to all preferences. A solid spot for vegans and curious foodies alike. Definitely worth a visit when you're in town!

Sotirios Bar & Restaurant

2a Bouverie Rd W, Folkestone CT20 2RX, UK | Greek Restaurant
P: 01303 259697

Rating: 4.8 (862) Price Level:

We booked a table for the 3 course £19.95 lunchtime menu after reading many positive reviews and we are so glad that we did. We had Brie and tempura prawns to start followed by liver with bacon and moussaka, finishing with chocolate fondue and biscoff cheesecake. Everything that we had was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. The wine was well chilled and reasonably priced. All the staff were efficient and friendly and the service was attentive but not intrusive, just as it should be. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

We visited here after looking around town for somewhere to have dessert. We really lucked out. The place is newly decorated and is really cute. The passion fruit and mango chiller was delicious and our desserts not only looked good but were delicious! The service was perfect and we really loved the music which set a nice chilled vibe. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

Nice looking restaurant. The savoury part of the waffle 🧇 is a bit bland, but I like the combo of savoury and sweet in one plate. The burger is good. One of the friends ordered the sandwich which seems to be the best. :)

The breakfasts were beautifully presented and of high quality. We'd recommend this place highly. Wishing the owners a lot of success in your venture.

Doggy sausages for our beautiful dog Vegan waffles with sausages, spinach, avocado, baked beans, maple syrup and fruit Vegan Delight with sausages, tofu scramble, mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans, and toast Yet another lush, family run, eatery to add to Folkestone's array of independently owned businesses. Popped in for a drink and to watch live music. Although it's small, it's a good use of the space and you can hear the music loud and clear wherever you are inside. The price of the drinks can be a bit much I thought, three drinks costing just over £30. £12 for each 125m glass. That being said, the drinks were very nice, I just couldn't justify buying a second round.

Have been several times now for breakfast. Food was delicious and well presented. So far, there isn't anything on the menu I wouldn't recommend. Staff has always been nice and friendly. The time to wait for food was less than what I expected, granted, I missed the peak times. The restaurant itself is clean and has a nice style that sets it apart from the surrounding area. A lovely discovery day 1 but day 2 not so good. I had breakfast and the food was cooked beautifully and with quality ingredients. Further, the kitchen amended the standard menu listing to what I wanted. Comfortable surrounds . Pleasant staff with largely good and speedy service. Given the table call buttons and waiting on service the 'welcome desk' is somewhat formal and unnecessary . Not the cheapest but I think with the positive experience largely appropriate ... It means it's a now and again treat rather than more regular. I will definitely be returning here. I did return the next day as it happened given I was so pleased. Alas the same breakfast was one poached egg and one tomato less than the day before. The manager did bring a second egg but was very reluctant and was abrasive rather than apologetic, suggesting I'd ordered extra the day before . Hopefully a one off blip as the food was again good and not a weights and measures issue. He then tried to charge me for the 2nd egg but finally gave in to just charging 30 p more for a one tomato less meal than yesterday ! I think they need to get their act together here as they turned a delighted returning customer into one that would consider twice about going a further time. My initial five stars across the board have been revised down.

I noticed afterwards that they didn’t include a service fee in the bill which I only realized when I got home. Could leave a tip for the great service. Came for a celebration meal with family. Managed to get a seat outside without reserving, but looks like it gets pretty busy so probably best to book ahead. Had the platter for 2/3 people to share with two cold meze to start. The stuffed vine leaves were very good! The star of the show was the meats, all of which were full of flavour and juicy! There was a lot of rice and bulgur to go with it so definitely a good portion for 3 people. To finish I had a Turkish coffee which came with a piece of Turkish delight. I'd not had a Turkish coffee before, but I was very pleasantly surprised as it had a similar taste to chocolate. Staff were great and the price was fairly reasonable for the portion size you get!
