“What can I say, just lovely! Fantastic service, fabulous food. Started with dips which were lovely, continued with linguini prawns and pork stew. Puddings of a traditional cheesecake type dish with Shredded almonds ... kefka I think. Wonderful. Great atmosphere out the back with blankets and heaters! Definitely go again! Thank you?”

The Great House
Gill's Green, Hawkhurst, Cranbrook TN18 5EJ, UK
Phone: 01580 753119
“I had a takeaway roast platter today and wow I was not disappointed. Usually a roast from anywhere other than at home isn’t anywhere near as satisfying as you’d hope. This one exceeded my expectations. Service on the telephone was friendly and helpful. Service when I arrived was also lovely. Meal was delicious. Would definitely recommend.”

“Surprise 60th Birthday celebration for me. All I can say is that Jumeria made it just that little bit more special. The staff were very attentive and friendly and made all of us feel so very welcome. The ambience and atmosphere is excellent but the food... Wow, absolutely incredible. Such a fantastic choice and every dish we ordered (and there were lots) was cooked to perfection. Can't thank the management and staff enough and can now see exactly why they won a recent award.”

Water Lane
Water Ln, Hawkhurst, Walled Garden TN18 5DH, UK

“Stunning setting, beautifully lit. Carnation house was lovely and warm under the heaters despite the chilly evening. Attentive and friendly service. Prompt serving of food and advice given on the menu. Food was absolutely amazing, personally I had the beetroot starter and the bavette as a main. The bavette was cooked perfectly and worked brilliantly with the pumpkin puree. Portions were more than ample and we felt that the pricing was bang on. All in all, we will definitely be returning, introducing more people to Water Lane and spreading the word!”

The Milk House
The St, Sissinghurst, Cranbrook TN17 2JG, UK
Phone: 01580 720200
“Visited the Milk House yesterday while on holiday in the area, & it totally exceeded our expectations. The food was gorgeous! I had the vegan lentil salad starter & beetroot tarte tatin main which were seriously delicious. I love when the vegan offering is something more than your bog standard tickbox - you can tell a lot of thought went into creating both these dishes. My husband had the roast (beef) and said it was the best roast he’s had out in ages. Good portion sizes too. Service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon was lovely. Highly recommend this place.”

“Have only visited The George as a pub/restaurant but every single time I am so impressed; firstly by how genuinely friendly and welcoming the service is, and secondly by how incredible the food's always been. My partner and I are vegetarians and it's hard to come by great veggie pub grub, but from their Sunday roast to the mushroom pithivier I recently had and their vegan burger, every meal has been so satisfying and full of flavour. I know it sounds like I've been asked to write this 😆 but I genuinely have no personal attachment to the place except that I'm just so thrilled to see a place (especially in such a rural location) really take vegetarian options seriously - we really appreciate it, please keep coming up with inventive veggie and plant-based options!”
