Great bar with loads of beer and cider. Plenty of beer that is brewed on the premises for you to try out. Food is available on the weekend and it gets quite busy but not too bad.

It's difficult to find authentic Greek food when you're not in Greece... this was delicious! Worth the 90min round trip 👌 Food was delicious, service was exceptional, we asked for certain plates to be plain for the kids which they did. Was just brilliant. 🧿 Eftharisto!

Sokrates taverna took us back to Greece, I felt this was an experience and not just a fantastic meal. Amazing service and the staff were so attentive. No rushing and freshly cooked mezze, catered for vegetarians and no ask was too much. that special dessert topped the night off. Thank you to the chef and the staff for such a lovely Saturday night.

Partner & I ordered the Greek Meze Banquet quoted on their website "Meze is food for sharing" wow alot of food from dips, cheese, meats, fish & stews. Could not pick my favourite it was all delicious & the service was excellent, waiter was very knowledgeable & recommended which food complimented each other. The decor you could really feel you are in authentic Greek restaurant. Next time we will try a main dish 😋

I recently had the chance to revisit a restaurant that had a bit of a rough start during my last visit, but I’m so glad I gave it another shot! This time, Alison was absolutely fantastic. She really turned our experience around and went above and beyond to make things right. From the moment we walked in, she was warm and welcoming, and you could tell she genuinely cared about our experience. Alison took the time to listen to our concerns from the previous visit and made sure to address them. She even recommended some amazing dishes that truly showcased what the restaurant can offer. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was so much more inviting this time around. Thanks to Alison’s exceptional service, we left feeling happy and satisfied. It’s clear that this restaurant has the potential to shine, and I can’t wait to come back again! Highly recommend!

I’m a big fan of Wagamama from time to time it’s great to have a nice hot ramen.🔥 it’s on the pricey side and the only negative thing I can say the service is not great staff is always busy and forget to bring you things like straws when needed. However, the food is great and fresh and the cooks deserve credit for it! I would definitely recommend the beef ramen hot pot it’s great on a cold day. 😍

Our trip to Wagamama was amazing! We decided to go as a family to try it out together and it was worth it. The food was sweet and delicious as well as the drinks! Staff were super kind and our food came very quick. I will definitely come here again if I have th3 chance to. 5 Stars 🌟 🤩

First visit here on the suggestion of a friend. We could not fault it. The food was delicious with a wide selection of food on the menu. The service was outstanding. The staff couldn't do enough for us. It is quite rural however and so it means one of us had to drive, but it was nice to be out somewhere a bit different. Update: I returned with my other half tonight. We were seated in the bar but we found it to be too noisy with people and a couple of dogs barking at each other. We asked if we could be moved from the bar into the restaurant, which they were able to accommodate, though we were given a time to leave the table, but it was 2 hrs after we turned up and there was plenty of time to eat 3 courses!

We had a table booked for 9 of us as someone with experience in the food industry trying to serve 9 ppl at the same time can be challenging, but they made it look so easy, waiting on staff were exceptional very silver service. I ordered sausage and mash with seasonal veg. My meal was beautiful. Top quality ingredients. Pub food but fresh ingredients and superbly cooked. I then ordered dessert and a Irish coffee. As pictured above. The menu doesn't do the food justice in my opinion. Food menu looks like pub grub but it was as good if not better than some of the top restaurants we have eaten in. We will be going back very soon

I'm giving Nicks at Turton Goft Club 5 stars despite not actually eating there. We'd booked in but it was the evening that it snowed quiet heavily so only some of us reached it as it's situated on the tops in the open, and as it continued snowing we decided to leave and re- book. However, the menus looked great, see attached photos, and Nick himself greeted us and offered to drive us to the back to the restaurant if we wanted to leave our cars at the end of the lane, however, we declined as not all of us have made it there. Nick was very warm and friendly and very helpful. We will definitely be booking again.

How have I not already reviewed this place!? I've been coming to Nick's restaurant for years. It is by far the best dining experience in Bolton. Mouth watering food, lovely friendly staff, nice ambiance... it's got it all. It is in the middle of an urban area and doesn't have it's own car park, but there's always plenty of nearby street parking. It's also not the cheapest place, but you get what you pay for. You will eat like royalty and leave with a full stomach, guaranteed. It is worth every penny. Plus, they often have a market menu which can make a great saving. Seriously, this place is wonderful. I will go back time and time again.

I came for my birthday and I had the best time! It was my first time coming to this restaurant, and it definitely won’t be my last - this is my new favourite place! The food/drinks were amazing quality, the staff were so friendly, and the atmosphere was perfect.

Our date night experience was wonderful. John and Peter were friendly, helpful and attentive. Food was excellent and very tasty. Service was excellent and the food came very quickly. We would highly recommend a visit. We have booked to return with relatives next week. A huge thank you to John and all of the staff for such an enjoyable visit.

Came for a celebration with my husband and children. Lovely place, looked lovely, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. The only thing I wasn’t keen on was that the service charge was automatically added to the bill, we would tip anyway but felt like it should be a choice thing rather than it being made to look mandatory.

Lovely food . Service was good. Just not enough . Portions were very small for the price . Sunday Brunch option. It was very quiet too as it was Sunday afternoon. No issues at all with that . As I said there just wasn't enough. This was the view of the whole party also. 6 x adults 3 Men / 3 women.

Excellent food and service. They have a vegan and a vegetarian menu, you can see the chefs cook the food too. The mixed vegan starter was divine, some of the best onion bhajis I’ve had in a long time. I asked for the aloo gobi to be hot and it was just right, spicy hot! rich flavours and high quality vegetables cooked to perfection. And a choice of breads too! The staff were welcoming, the tables had a great vibe, lighting and a high end feel to the converted church. There was a mistake in the missing chips/rice, which was fine as the portions were plenty, which they billed us for but they removed this when informed. It was good value for money either way. We had a good customer service experience over all and will be back for more in the future.

We were a group of 12 from London travelling to that area during the festive season & got to know about this restaurant as a recommendation. 100% top notch restaurant. The food was exquisite, the service was warm, friendly & the atmosphere was buzzing! There is a reason why this place was packed by people travelling from a bit & the locals! First time in Horwich and glad I came here. Food is really good with great service. I always like a restaurant that you can see the kitchen.

We like coming here for a hot chocolate after swimming lessons… The kids usually go for the pancakes with berries. Breakfast with Santa was nice too, they each got reindeer food, colouring sheets and crackers and were seated in front of a nice cosy log fire then got to meet Santa individually.

5* across the boa4d. Went Thursday lunchtime, table for 6 of us, ordered Sea Bass, Burgers Gammon and Smothered Chicken. Didn't have to wait too long, served piping hot, delicious and filling. Good menu too. Great, prompt and courteous service. We would return.

Wonderful!!! Sat in the restaurant part, close to the roaring fire, perfect for a chilly winter's day. The service was impeccable and the food was top notch. Good portion sizes as well as incredible quality on starters and mains, unfortunately didn't have room for dessert. This was our first time here, but definitely looking forward to going back and sampling the outside area when temperatures allow.

The best Sunday Roast I’ve had in a very long time! A generous portion of roast beef cooked to perfection. Roast potatoes crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Tasty red cabbage like my mum used to do. Huge Yorkshire pudding. Delicious gravy. Yummy mashed potato. Even the sprouts tasted good (and I’m not a fan of sprouts 😂). Excellent value for money. Didn’t have to wait long for it either, always a bonus! Thanks so much. We’ll be back.

Large pub with large free car park. Couple of disabled parking spaces next to front door. Plenty of outdoor seating available. Pub has a lovely atmosphere and is DOG FRIENDLY! They even have free dog biscuits on the bar! Staff were extremely pleasant, polite and helpful, couldn't ask for more. Toilets were clean and well equipped. Food was delicious and is reasonably priced. Lots of choice and lots of offers available. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning.

Called for a lunchtime meal in early December with a work colleague to find a beautifully presented, warm environment which was the next best thing to a Christmas grotto; the place was really lovely! Staff were helpful with swift service too. We enjoyed our starters and main meal: tasty soup and roll followed by fish and chips/scampi and chips. The fish dishes were really nice with glorious, crispy chips! We came away well fed and happy to call here again!

Just been in for a lovely meal with family. Very busy as Good Friday but service was quick and the meal lovely as usual. I tried the Donner kebab and it was one of the nicest meals I've had. Very good ,fresh and good value for money. I will be back to have again very soon , staff lovely and cheerful , see you soon , ( Monday when I bring the hubby to try it )
