The Red Door Bistro – Wigan’s Best-Kept Secret Tucked away behind an unassuming red door in Wigan, this little gem is easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by a warm and intimate atmosphere. The dim lighting created the perfect cosy setting, making it feel like a special hidden retreat away from the hustle and bustle. The service was nothing short of exceptional even tho there was 8 of us for a anniversary. The staff were incredibly attentive, ensuring that every detail of our meal was just right without ever feeling intrusive. Their knowledge of the menu and recommendations were spot on, adding a personal touch that made the evening even more enjoyable. Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely incredible. Each dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavour, clearly crafted with passion and skill. My daughter treated me and my partner to a meal at the red door , well where do I start , the soup starter was so tasty , parsnip and apple , just amazing, I had the beef roast dinner and this didn’t disappoint either, the beef was to die for and the veg was delicious, I then followed it with a Dessert of cherry flavour brownie with cherry ice cream . This establishment is just amazing, I’m gutted we only just found it , the unhurried service is just amazing, the staff are so attentive and Jane the owner is a pleasure to chat too , well done guys we will definitely be back .

Me and my family very enjoyed our experience at this restaurant. The food served was perfect, and atmosphere was very cosy, however only thing noticed was the temperature was slightly cold. overall, the service, food and atmosphere was amazing. Thank you!

We've been 4 or 5 times with various people and the food has been brilliant. Not just good for collage students... It's really good! You get a nice (and still cheap) meal and students get a chance to learn and work towards a future in catering.

Fabulous food at the wheel restaurant 😋 I went with my mum and sister and had a great meal. It was a shame that there weren't many tables in dining, as these young students need the experience of a full restaurant. They are open Tuesday and Thursday for lunch at 12,12:15,12:30, and the same days but for the evening at 6 pm, 6:15,6:30. We arranged a table on the day so they do take in last min bookings and the drinks prices are excellent 👌 Highly recommend the fish n chips 😋 the fish was the best fish n chips I've ever had, the batter was lovely and light, and the home-made tarter sauce was excellent only thing missing was some mushy peas but the veg that we had to share between us was excellent and could have fed another 4 people, we had carrots, new potatoes, green beans with a ragu sauce and another portion of chips. Honestly, I can't recommend this place enough, and for the price of £17.95 ( for the evening/dinner menu), we all left completely stuffed. we also had a cup of tea at the end and a homemade biscuit 😋

We visited this week on Monday afternoon between 3-5pm to celebrate my nieces 21st birthday! We was staying away for the weekend nearby at the glamping pods & we found this place online! And it was easy to walk in and had plenty of tables The small plate menu was what attracted me to dine here and it did not disappoint! The food is absolutely unbelievable! We had to thank the chef and ask him to come out because everything was perfect! The service was phenomenal, a lady called Louise was our host and she was the most welcoming and friendliest lady! We all ordered different small plates and sides for a 5 person table and felt it’s best share! Portions was huge, and all the food came out at the same time! We even ordered extra tacos because they was too nice!! Beautiful restaurant & atmosphere! Amazing prices & quality!! 10/10 restaurants & bar! Parking was also easy in the area for a main road, as there is a pub over the road called The Stag which has a parking meter, and it’s fairly affordable! And we went to the pub first for a drink to register free parking! Thanks everyone we had the best celebration here!! X

Amazing food and outstanding service. The waitresses were super polite and attentive. Courses were served quickly and everything tasted fantastic. We were entertained by a lovely lady doing a belly and swords dance. I'd definitely eat here again.

Called on spec about 2.30pm. Food was great but took a long time to arrive. I had the chicken skewer and a chocolate mousse type dessert.

I recently celebrated my birthday at Melis Restaurant , and it was an unforgettable experience! The atmosphere was perfect for the occasion, and the food was absolutely fantastic—full of flavor and beautifully presented. A special shoutout to our amazing waitress, Daniela, who went above and beyond to make the evening truly special. She was attentive, kind, and made sure everything was perfect for my party. It was our wedding anniversary yesterday and we decided to have a dinner outside the home with the kids. The services were top notch. Daniella was awesome! The meals were so filling and the kids were happy. We will definitely be visiting again and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Less than a mile from Junction 27 of the M6. Extensive menu including specials. Cask ales pouring today were on the traditional side from Carlsberg Marston’s Brewing Company. Huge outdoor seating area - much undercover with heaters and blankets if necessary.

Just stopped here for lunch whilst on a long drive up north as it had great reviews and just off the M6. Save your money at the services and come here instead! Not only will you be helping a local business but you won't be disappointed! Food was great value and really tasty and fresh. The staff were super helpful and attentive. Dog friendly and even has a dog menu!

Great meal for 4 here today. Hadn't booked and the pub was busy at 1pm on a Saturday. Never the less helpful staff found us a suitable table as we were with our dog. Lovely service. Great food. Nice menu. Could not fault. Will be back for sure ☺️

First time at La Sentidos Loca, and definitely won’t be the last, had amazing service as soon as we stepped through the door, sharing nachos to start with Cluck and Moo burger and Slow cooked beef tacos, all fantastically presented and delicious. Food is well priced with a good prices drinks menu . Absolutely worth a visit

Lovely building and a really nice restaurant. The food was really nice with lots of flavours and colours like you would expect from a Mexican but my only critique is I like spicy food and asked for it to be hot but unfortunately it was very mild. Other than that we really enjoyed it

Absolutely amazing food, went here on a whim after typing tacos near me on google. Did not disappoint, large portions and tastes amazing. If you like spicy food I suggest taking some hot sauce or asking for some as food is mild, but tastes amazing.

Amazing service and perfect food. We love our every visit in La Sentidos Loca. Never felt disappointed. Today we have visited La Iguanas and all I must say.. Sentidos Loca is definitely our favourite!

We visited last Sunday on the way through to an overnight stay 30 minutes away from the restaurant, it was a must for us as we had seen some amazing reviews online for this place. With the restaurant sadly 3.5 hours from home we knew we had to try it and we were not disappointed!! My roast was nothing short of amazing, I added cauliflower cheese and WOW. The dessert was incredible, staff even kindly put a candle in it for my birthday. The roast was the nicest, tastiest roast I’ve ever had including the Cauliflower cheese. Everything was faultless, it had so much flavour and value for money on the Sunday lunch menu is brilliant. If we’re ever out this way again then we will absolutely be visiting again in a heart beat. The only thing which was disappointing is the fact you’re so far away from home.

First visit to Summat to Ate today for father's day. What an overall great experience. Service was very good with lovely staff who were very attentive and friendly and always available. Food was great too, all of us where left full to the brim after starters, mains and desserts. If there was anything I would comment negatively on, it would be having a better (steak knife) and the Music was a little too loud. Apart from those 2 small points we all really enjoyed the visit.

We visited the restaurant for steak lunch on Friday afternoon. We were very satisfied with the quality of meat and the staff service. Very pleasant indeed. We are a returning customer and will be for a long time. The restaurant is absolutely a gem in Hindley ❣️

I absolutely love Papa Luigi's. Great food every time, it's hot and fresh and consistent. Lots to choose from the menu such ; pasta, pizza, fish dishes, steak and risotto. They have deals on throughout the week. Staff are lovely and friendly too and make you feel welcomed.

The risotto and penne arabiata were decent in taste with good portion size. However the fudge cake wasn't up to the mark. The ambience and staff were quite good. Thus overall its a good value for money.

We visited Juniper in December for a family meal. Their catering was excellent for our large party of 16. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were pleasant and attentive and all of our requirements were met. The restaurant has a special, elegant dining feel which made for a memorable occasion. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Juniper and look forward to visiting again soon. Thank you!

Juniper is a great little find - the food is excellent with a small but well balanced menu for all tastes. We ate lunch here and the food is very good value, 2 courses on the midweek lunch menu for £22. The food was tasty and beautifully presented. The venue is a lovely restored stone cottage with clean, contemporary decor, and an easy journey from M6 Jnct 27. Our waitress was professional and friendly, and managed all the covers in the front of the restaurant without fuss. Will definitely return.

Lovely evening dinner here tonight! Family of 7 of us all had 3 courses and was beautiful. Waitress was lovely and very attentive, good menu knowledge , drinks were topped up and overall very good service. Food was exceptional! Every bite was full of flavour and love! Good quality ingredients and every aspect of the dishes was done to perfection Best spot in Wigan and definitely worth the price

I came today with my partner and we both got the Full English breakfasts and one of us got a normal tea and the other got an Earl Grey tea. The food was excellent and so was the quality and there was no grease on the plate at all which I have been told is a good sign. The food also tasted fantastic and was really high quality. Also the attendants were friendly, helpful and always around if you needed them.

Well... What an amazing place. Food was outstanding, service was great and overall a really good experience. Can't fault this place. Defo returning back. Value for money 👍. The most photos I've ever taken of food and gutted I couldn't fit in dessert.

Delicious Roast Rump of Beef served with a range of fresh vegetables including cauliflower cheese as standard. Cosy atmosphere polite., friendly and attentive staff plus a great soundtrack . What a find so close to home. We highly recommend a visit .
