We came in today and enjoyed the Christmas Dinner Sub, it was amazing! The manager (didn’t catch his name) was absolutely brilliant. Despite it being busy and him serving on his own, all food and drinks came out on time and to a great standard. He was chatting with customers and checking in on everyone and everything was clean and tidy. Fantastic experience, so happy I found this place and will definitely be back.

An absolute gem. Eclectic, cosy, good coffee, nicely curated selection of beers, and vinyl (and flowers)! Above all though, a very friendly and welcoming place. Definitely worth a visit.

Went for brunch and to look at records. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. Had a tasty bacon and sausage bap and lovely latte. Picked up a couple of interesting records and will definitely be back, especially once they open the second-hand record section upstairs soon.

Lovely, friendly service and relaxing environment, especially comfortable upstairs. Good tunes playing in the background, at a comfortable volume that allows easy conversation. The decor is very inviting, with a bit of stylish retro vibes with the architectural murals on the walls upstairs and the vaulted ceiling and comfy sofas gives a sense of being in a loft apartment lounge. The coffee was good and there was a great selection of bar snacks. Great selection of records and plants for sale too. Been here a few times. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing place, the perfect canal side location, right opposite Goyt mill, worth a visit and detour!!! Wish I had this on my doorstep. Beth the live-in owner has renovated this from an old corner shop, she’s a great chef and host- cares deeply about quality and thoughtful sourcing from local producers : smashing coffees, lunchtime dishes, deli items and refreshing drinks, outside seating available roadside or in the canal garden. homemade focaccia is to die for Dogs and kids are welcome. Can’t wait to see this place flourish and evolve ❤️ I’ll be back frequently 🙏

Food, atmosphere and drinks are always mega at this place. Also love the concept of having all the different produce available to buy and take home. Menu always runs with the seasons which is so nice. The location is stunning, especially on a summer's day, watching the boats go by on the canal

This is a proper cafe/restaurant with quality produce and ideas. The flavour combos are original and always worth trying whether it's their sandwiches, cakes, focaccia or supper clubs. We had high expectations for their December supper club which more than delivered - from the beef croquettes and sprout salad to the beautiful stuffed squash. We feel very lucky that for us Tawny is just a short walk away along the canal!

My favourite place to visit in the area. Gorgeous decor, lovely atmosphere and friendly and accommodating staff. The food is incredible and like nothing else nearby. The focaccia and sandwiches are out of this world. I noticed a review commenting on the price, of course it’s going to be at the more expensive end as the produce is fantastic quality and the care and attention that goes into every dish is worth every penny. So glad this is in Marple and I hope it does as well as it deserves to.

We have eaten here as a family several times now. The food is excellent - I think it has gone up in quality since the restaurant opened. The kebabs were very tasty and tender, and the accompanying salad fresh. Baklava and ice cream really good if you have room for it. Atmosphere great - fairly busy when we went, but not unbearably noisy. Service quick and friendly (we were served by Molly). Overall cost very reasonable; drinks not a rip-off like some places. No complaints - will visit again.

Came here for our anniversary meal 4/7, absolutely fantastic,the staff the food was outstanding definitely be calling back,I couldn't eat it all they did say I could take it home,the guys who served us were really happy and lovely I would recommend trying here.

What a great venue, well worth a drive! Fresh produce, generous portions of starters and all fish and seafood cooked spot on. Chilli prawn risotto is a must, better than the ones I've had in Italy. Mussels in moreish sauce and delicious catch of the day. The lady at the front has a great banter and it was a pleasure to have a chat after the meal. Definitely coming back!!

We visited recently and had the tapas menu. Excellent value for money, we got 3 dishes each and as part of the deal you get a drink included with this option. Variety of options, everything was fresh and tasted different to eachother. Generous portions and staff are very friendly. Look forward to returning to try more of the menu in future!

A lovely spot for a special night out or just to eat some fab seafood! Service was great, friendly and helpful. It has a cosy, local vibe. The standout dish was the hake when crispy leeks, the bisque was unctious or bangin' (as the kids say). The steak was well received and cooked to order. The platter was a great way to start things, usually I find squid rubbery in places but here it was perfect with a zingy batter. We left sated.

An incredible meal to celebrate our engagement. The staff went above and beyond, with flowers, a card, and bubbly waiting on the table when we arrived. Having dined at Fisherman's Table previously, we knew we were in for some excellent food and drink, but did not expect to be blown away by these extra touches. We cannot thank Fisherman's Table enough for their excellent service, the food, as always, was incredible and we left with memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you for making an incredible day even more special and we can't wait to return for more meals and celebrations in the future - would give 6 stars if we could.

First time here and certainly won’t be the last, minced chicken with lettuce wraps and salt & pepper prawn were the most savoury light delectable starters with duck, rice and the star of the show, steamed whole sea bass for main. My oh my best sea bass I have ever eaten, moist, fell off the bone, intensely savoury liquor, no extra thickeners. Just wow. And Sunny. Sunny sunny sunny. You were the highlight of the evening. Please visit this place you won’t regret it, we will definately be back, same again please ❤️

Fantastic! We've been twice so far as a family and also had takeaway. Sunny the owner is amazing he remembered all our names from the previous visit together which was two years ago! He organised the table so we had room for our pushchair and a highchair, nothing was too much trouble to make us feel welcome. Everything we ordered was brilliant I had the set meal and everything was superb, everyone else had various starters and different dishes which we all shared. This is not your average Chinese restaurant it is more expensive but food is high quality, delicous and one the best I have ever been to! A fabulous experience.

We had a lovely meal last night. The waiters were really polite and helpful and Sunny remembered our names even though it had been a while since we had dined in. Always really enjoy it when we dine here and it feels like a lovely family treat. Highly recommend.

Blown away by how delicious and fresh the food is here. They have a great long menu with a ton of choices, including vegetarian. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere for an evening meal and the service is friendly. We’ll definitely be back.

Visited for lunch which was excellent and very reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and efficient and the small space is nicely decorated with clean toilets. Jungle curry was tasty and quite spicy which is how it should be, and the Penang was also good. Will definitely be back.

A delightful place with fantastic food and attentive service. We enjoyed the Siam banquet for 2 which was delicious and a generous amount of food without being over the top. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

We booked for Sunday dinner. The table they had put us in as still being used do they moved us to another table. Unfortunately it was where a couple of families with children were. The children were not being watched and were noisy and quite distributive. However the service was excellent and I think of the best Sunday dinners we’ve had out for quite awhile. It was great that we could take our dog with us too.

Absolutely top-notch trio-of-meats Sunday roast. Accompanied by a log fire and a couple of pints of proper cask ale. In an authentic 1792 stone pub with friendly locals of the canine type. What’s not to like?

Lovely pub in a nice area ,got seated upstairs as no tables available. Waiting staff were great and the lager was a decent pint .The fish and chips were perfectly cooked ,would definitely recommend this pub

A worthy addition to the 2025 Good Beer Guide with the ever changing range of cask ale on sale. The Tiny Rebel Beach Off IPA Milkshake was exceptional. Well worth seeking out. Only a 5 minute uphill walk back to Marple 🚂 station.

I’ve been here before and can’t believe I left it so long to be back. The food is outstanding and if this restaurant was in Mayfair it would have a Michelin star, and be 4x the price. Marple is lucky to have this gem. The price for two starters, two mains, a bottle of wine and large mineral water was £68 without a tip great value for money as the quality of the food is unrivalled. We arrived on valentines night so it was very busy, the place was full even at 6:15pm very understandable. The staff coped well and the food was on time and delicious, if I had to pick one Fault it would be the cramped tables because if the size of the place, so privacy is an issue. Go with the flow regard it as cozy and its a great restaurant

Great for gluten free. Once again another great review from me. After enjoying my visit 6 weeks ago I decided to return over the Christmas period and glad I did as the gluten free menu has been extended with some delicious dishes to choose from.👊🏻 Chef respect 🙌🏻 Great to see there was white wine vinegar available for my chips also. Great job to the team and thank you for yet again another great meal out.

Attentive service catered well for us with a pram. Food great. Had the venison and partner the steak. Drinks great too. Lovely atmosphere and really recommend a visit.

Popped in for food and it was AMAZING!! I think new owners have taken it over about a year ago? I'm not too sure, but the menu is fabulous and everything that got brought out of the kitchen looked amazing. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back.

The most incredible wedding day - May 2024 💫 The Crown Hawk Green is the absolute perfect venue for an intimate, relaxed, yet high end wedding. From start to finish, the process of planning our special day was so easy and stress free. Lucie and the team made sure everything was exactly as I wanted it and nothing was too much trouble. From the decor, place settings, seating plan and welcome sign, to the food, drinks and order of the day. All aspects were considered, discussed and arranged with ease. I honestly loved every minute of my wedding day. The guests were all extremely happy and loved all of our delicious food. All of the staff are incredibly well trained and always happy to help. There were plenty of staff available and nobody had to wait long for anything. The service was excellent as always. My request for the day was ‘intimate ceremony - big party’ and we certainly had a wonderful evening partying the night away. The space allowed for a party in the Frederick Suite, but guests that wanted to move away from the music to chat were able to do so. There was plenty of seating for everyone. I would 100% recommend The Crown Hawk Green for a wedding, or any event for that matter, and look forward to celebrating many more occasions there myself in the future. I celebrated a ‘ big birthday ‘ at this lovely pub yesterday. We occupied a table for 15 people and the service was brilliant, we did not wait for anything, the staff were fantastic. The food was lovely, and all my guests were impressed with their meal. I have been to The Crown on a number of occasions and it never disappoints. I would certainly recommend this friendly pub to anyone for any occasion.
