We went on Sunday and had the 3 course meal for £38 per person. We also added the oysters and they were fresh and tasty. The Manchester IPA beignet starter and that was a sensational starter. We then had the chicken and the beef roast. The Yorkshire pudding is the best I ever had. Atmosphere is really good and you get a really good service. Would highly recommend trying the roast.

Third time we have visited Fold and we can not fault it. The food, wine and service is outstanding. The chefs are professional and willing to explain plates. The wine choices are superb and front of house staff are very welcoming. Our plan is to visit each season in line with the menu change. Well done Fold on you consistency and outstanding contribution to the local area. 5 stars!!

WOW! I genuinely think this was one of the best meals I have ever eaten. This restaurant is outstanding, the food is so interesting and unique, we have never tried flavour combinations like it. The food was incredible, cooked infromt of you with the amazing open kitchen. Every course was outstanding and we could not believe the value for money that we got in the lunch time deal. The service was impeccable, our waitress was so knowledgeable and knew the menu inside out. We will be coming back time and time again now. You need to try this place, you will not be dissapointed.

Ordered a takeaway off Stockport eats and was very impressed. Ordered 3 starters to share - vegetable samosas, gobi 65 and the spiced potatoes. Really liked the cauliflower and the samosas had a good filling. I had the paneer butter masala and it was so good - lovely creamy sauce and lots of paneer! My partner enjoyed his butter chicken. Garlic naan was perfect - massive and lots of garlic. Definitely want to visit the restaurant now!

If you want mega tasty authentic Indian food come here. Great selection of dishes and all come fresh and hot. I lived in Indian for almost two years and this place reminds me of the food in my second home. Served with attentive and friendly service.

Amended! I ordered wrong and apologise! Next time I'm ordering a frappacino!! We had coffee and cake, but it was lovely. I had an iced mocha with almond milk, the only tweak I would make is if it was blitzed with the ice so that the ice is crushed and mixed in to really chill the drink. Other than that, good cake - I had vegan chocolate cake, hubby had vegan sticky toffee cake with biscoff, daughter had caramel (millionaires) shortcake. The sticky toffee cake was the winner! Hubby had an americano and daughter had a carton of juice. There is a play area for little ones, and they are dog friendly which was a bonus for me because it was a post-walk treat. I'm recently vegetarian and have wanted to visit for a while, it didn't disappoint and I'll definitely be back!

Really enjoyed every visit to Chai Village and is an excellent recommendation for lunch! Food is delicious and the staff are amazing.

After being recommended this place, I knew I had to check it out and I’m so glad I did. From the moment I walked in, the two ladies working there were so friendly. I ordered a vanilla matcha over ice and a blondie. The food menu sounded so good that I’ll definitely be back for some lunch and a chai! Lovely, cosy cafe. The matcha was so good! Dog friendly too.

✨Amazing Indian Vegetarian / Vegan Cafe✨ We visited for the first time today as my partner is obsessed with Chai at the moment. For drinks I had the biscoff coffee shake which was sensational, the coffee wasn’t too overpowering and the roast / blend choice was delicious. My partner had the home brewed Masala Chai which he thoroughly enjoyed, and the pot of tea he received was massive! (We stayed a bit longer just so he could finish it as it was that good) For mains we had the Indian breakfast muffin (vegan sausage, Indian spiced hash browns, and a bbq tamarind chutney) and the Chai Buckwheat pancakes which came with syrup and berries. I thoroughly enjoyed the sandwich, the chutney was amazing and really pulled everything together. Though I didn’t try the pancakes they were gone within minutes. Both me and my partner agreed portion sizes were bob on, we felt full without feeling overly lethargic. Though we didn’t have the opportunity to try them the cakes and Indian deli looked delicious. Our entire meal with drinks cost under £20 which I think is ridiculously reasonably priced considering the quality and portion sizes of the food and drink. (Not to mention the very quick service!) It is also worth noting they seemed to have an extensive ice cream range. All staff were super friendly, the woman serving us really seemed to care about our experience there and we were given customer service you can’t simply buy without there being a true passion for what she was serving. I would highly recommend dining here, and we look forward to visiting again.

Fine Food, balanced and tasty with good portions. Place has inside and outside siting with a car parking. The restaurant/pub looks like a big house, with so many rustic rooms. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Loved the families vibes. Will be back 🙌🏽

Came here yesterday after a walk, service was great. The place was packed but we were seen to and seated quickly. We got the camembert sharer starter and it was worth every penny. Amazing. For the mains we got the pie of the day (steak and ale) and a red Thai curry with cod (very spicy!). For pudding we each got a hot fudge cake with ice cream. We had an amazing time, only thing was we were sat adjacent to 2 men who were bragging about watching child p*rn which was super weird.

While B&Bing in the area to drop a friend off the following day (Sunday) at Manchester Airport we called in here after a local recommendation from someone at the nearby Dobbies garden centre. Had not booked but Trisha on the desk was really friendly and helpful and found us a table coming free after about a half hour wait. Had drinks in the bar area ( poor really as small and only high stools at a few tables). We were shown to a table in the ‘veranda extension’ area and very pleasant it was too ( only 2 tables there and a bit quieter than the main areas). Atmosphere in the pub is lovely, as was the service . Decided to have the Carvery and very nice (£13). Note that a 10% service charge is made on your bill but the waitresses look to work really hard, remaining pleasant etc….so please accept it ( you can have it removed if you want but that would be a shame on you). We even gave the two girls who served us an extra tip.

First time visiting to meet friends for drinks and food. Great atmosphere, good choice on menu, food was delicious, service was outstanding and always with a smile! We will return for sure. Our friends had the carvery and loved it, husband had the stacker burger and was so full he had no room for pudding!y vegetarian options were so tasty!

Affectionately known as 'the piggy' Cosy atmosphere, friendly staff. Great beers. Come here a lot as it's just up the road from me. Paul and June (the owners) are nice people and go out of their way to make sure you are looked after. They are happy to chat to you if it's a little quieter. Ate here a few times and the food on our most recent visit was nothing short of outstanding.

Visited for the first time today and very impressed. Brought my family, their dog and our newborn. The owner and the staff were very accommodating. Sunday roast was beautiful and everyone enjoyed their food. The toilets here are clean and modern too. First visit won't be our last

Great pub and all the staff are very friendly and look after you. Went for a family meal, got looked after from the moment we walked in to leaving. Not one member of staff walk by without making sure everything is ok. Would definitely recommend if you are I. The area!

Lovely pub, owners were really friendly and coped well with the 12 of us (6 adults and 6 kids) booking in last minute. Food was super, especially the puddings! Really good options for my friend who is gluten free.

Visited The Burbs Restaurant on Sunday and got the roast dinner and a cheesy garlic bread. Both were great portions, cooked to perfection and nicely presented. Really enjoyed it and was full up for the rest of the day!!

Lovely evening at the ‘Burbs celebrating our anniversary. Everything we ordered was delicious and we had great service from Roxy. She was really friendly and recommended an amazing creamy sausage tagliatelle special. We’ll definitely be back again - what a hidden gem!

Absolutely fantastic food and brilliant service. We visited this evening and the staff were absolutely fantastic and incredibly welcoming from start to finish. Every dish was absolutely delicious, especially the rump steak. Really recommend this spot and can’t wait to return 🥰 I recently also had the roast as well as the new menu and it was just as incredible!

The Arden has a good reputation for it's food and deservedly so. £12.50 for a roast of this quality isn't common these days, and it's one that satisfies. The other options on the menu have never failed us either

Faultless. Astonishing old style pub with separate areas and fires blazing in their grates against a grey, wet and miserable afternoon. Beautiful Robinson's ales and it's thanks to them I visited this afternoon.

Decided to pop in during lunch to see the renovation and wasn't disappointed feels so much better and modern now. Removing the rear bar has allowed much more room and extra room for dining. As always 1 of the best if not the best carverys around wasn't disappointed. Food excellent service excellent feel and comfortable excellent. Was extremely busy but I suspect this will continue as it always was so would recommend booking. Keep it up.

Came in this evening for my partners birthday and what a great evening we had! We were a table of 13 and the table was all put together for us and they had put the balloon and banner up for us that I had dropped off earlier. Service by Alice was amazing.. the food arrived all hot and all together and was enjoyed by all.. my partner had the steak and said it was perfect. I had the carvery and was very impressed with the selection and was all hot. They also brought out the cake I dropped off earlier and sang happy birthday with us. 10/10 for both Service and food. And special thanks to Alice for her service and the rest of the team .

The steak is excellent. I had the 30-day 9oz rump (so towards the lower end of the price range), cooked rare, and it was fantastic. Together with the beef dripping sauce and seasoned fries, it was a winning combination. So just goes to show you don't need to spend a fortune. The service was also excellent - they have obviously tried hard to make it an experience and the interior is warm and spacious. The only gripes were that we were waiting for around 5 minutes at the front desk on arrival - and passed several times without an acknowledgement - which did not get us off to a good start. However, all staff were very polite and professional, and our waiter was particularly attentive and I would go as far as to say an asset to the establishment. The sign outside about dress code, and reiterated when booking online, makes a little bit too much of a point - which inadvertantly sends the wrong message I fear. The ambience and class of the place, and of the food, should be the focus and able to speak for itself no matter what customers choose to wear. A note to the management - if it feels special, customers will of course dress accordingly!

We were served by the lovely dawn, who took our order and recommended how to have our steak cooked. She was super friendly and checked up to make sure everything was ok! The food was perfect as always, Dawn made our experience very positive and makes us want to come back!

I booked a night at the hotel and the rooms are excellent. Check in was simple and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Room decor is high end and it has all the extras you’d need, free Wi-Fi, parking, ironing board etc. The rooms are only accessible by stairs, I didn’t see a lift, so that could limit visitors with mobility issues. The bed was incredibly comfortable and a firm, great quality mattress, which was well received. I didn’t eat in the restaurant, so was unable to rate the food.

Such a stunning restaurant, warm and inviting. We had the Sunday Sharing Platter which was huge and had everything we wanted. Denise, our server was lovely and friendly and gave us detailed information about what we were ordering. We will definitely be returning as there is plenty more on the menu we want to try.

A fantastic family pub, great atmosphere and friendly. Mega busy with football but never any trouble. Live music every Friday and Saturday, all live football games. Friendly, helpful staff including Lisa and Stew who have recently taken over and are doing a great job. All in all, a brilliant pub 🤩

Went across to see a band that was on-The Still ,who are well worth a watch if you can get to see them locally. It was great to see a pub still putting on live music, and it seemed to be appreciated by the regulars. The staff were pleasant and quick to serve, there was a good atmosphere and they had a reasonable choice of drinks. The only fly in the ointment was the fact that they had a hand pump,but no cask ale,only John Smiths or Boddingtons(which I can't put into the category of a decent beer-no matter how hard I try. )Definitely missing a trick there,but other than that, a good night out.

First time I'd visited The Crown as there was a band on I wanted to watch. The staff were really friendly and very accommodating, they had a few 0% options and there was a friendly atmosphere. Big spacious pub with really lovely toilets!
