Nice little family run restaurant. Not the best Italian I've ever been to but not bad. Prices are very reasonable. Would definitely return for a local affordable date night.

A huge thank you to everyone at Benvenuto for making my dad's 80th birthday party extra special. I really appreciate the hard work that went into preparing everything beforehand and especially on the day in feeding 33 hungry guests 😁 EVERYONE loved the food and had a great time. The service was fantastic. Highly recommended and most definitely one of the best restaurants in Tameside. The food and service is exceptional. Always. A gem! There are so many superlatives you could use, but let's get straight to the point here, it's just a great place. The food is superb, the service is equally as good and pricing is what you'd expect of a good Italian. Yes it's Ashton and they're charging Manchester prices, but you know what? Who cares when the food is of this quality? Genuinely one of the best Italian eateries around.

Packed Friday night but didn't struggle to book a table for 2 at 7pm a few days before. Every member of staff we encountered was absolutely 'on it' friendly and attentive, and the only time I had to ask for something was the cheque at the end. All 3 courses of food were delicious and I'd highly recommend this independent local restaurant over any well-known chain that you'd find near a cinema or city centre.

Great venue. Staff are professional although I have found 1 of the female waiters to be a blunt and unfriendly. Food is lovely, the mains especially. Didn't think the tiramsu was very nice and I've had nicer from a supermarket. Overall it is good value, always busy.

We had a lovely brunch at Food and Thorn. We arrived early and were the first people there and were greeted with kindness from all staff. The service was super quick and all of the staff were lovely. The food and drinks were delicious and fresh, and there was a fabulous range of options to choose from (lots of vegetarian options and gluten free bread available too!). Will definitely be returning 😁

Was nice, but took 45 minutes for 3 meals. The Mediterranean eggs were bland, not much flavour, did taste nice though and the eggs were over cooked and not poached, the omelette was tasty but over done, ordered a sausage butty with no butter and was given one with butter so after 45 minutes of waiting had to wait longer. Teas and coffees were lovely, nice enough staff, will go again as the menu has some lovely sounding dishes. One more shot!!

Googled dog friendly places near me as I was meeting a friend who had small dog with her The place was lovely and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Great menu, big selection of very lovely looking cakes but I managed to resist those. Food was lovely, well presented, delicious and served surprisingly quickly. Raised our spirits on a very soggy Tuesday morning.

Love this wonderful bistro. There is a warm, friendly, welcoming ambience, as there is inside the Seraphina to which it is attached. The menu is varied and the food is always excellent as Nikki and Dave use only quality ingredients. Would thoroughly recommend. You will not be disappointed.

Came to Fenix with my boyfriend for our late valentines. Overall a really warm welcoming atmosphere. We sat down and had two cocktails at the bar. Gorgeous presentation and good service. We were then taken upstairs, we had mentioned on our booking that we were celebrating but at first we were put on a little table in a dark place with a draft. My partner asked if we could swap to somewhere warmer, and the staff was quick to move us to a better location. Laura was our server and was incredibly polite and helpful. Her knowledge of the food was very detailed, and her warm attitude elevated the experience as a whole. The food was outstanding, and kept getting better as the it kept coming. We recommend having the 3rd set menu for two, with the Wagyu beef and Lobster spaghetti. Amazing experience and we can’t wait to be back.

This place is amazing. Reminds me of traditional Greek vs Dubai luxury. Louis and all the other staff were very attentive. The menu was varied and the presentation and flavours were excellent. I thought a couple of dishes could have been warmer for my personal taste, especially the Moussaka and the Lamb tart but the flavours were amazing. The cocktail menu - well not sure if it’s my age or the lighting where we were sat, but I really struggled to read it so ended up not ordering a cocktail although I did ask Louis if he had any spiced rum cocktails and he recommended a cosmopolitan one. The desserts …. Well all I can say is WOW!! We had the chocolate brûlée with coffee ice cream (you could share this … but I didn’t 😂) and the selection of desserts and they were all amazing and thank you for a decent portion. All in all we are planning on revisiting again soon. Another shout out to Louis and the reception ladies - they were all a credit to this amazing restaurant.

Our visit to Fenix was nothing but amazing. Our waitress Issy could not have been better, her service was second to none. She kept our glasses topped up all afternoon and gave us the best recommendations as it was our first time dining with them. The food was unreal and beautiful. They even gave us a lovely gesture at the end as we were celebrating our anniversary.

We visited Fenix to celebrate our anniversary, and I’ll admit I had some concerns that it might be all style with little substance (like other trendy spots in Manchester). However, the food exceeded my expectations! The flavours were outstanding, and the service was top-notch. As first-timers, our waitress offered some great recommendations, and they absolutely lived up to the hype. Each dish was worth every penny! A thoughtful touch was the little anniversary plate we received at the end of our meal - it made the experience feel even more special. I’m already looking forward to returning. The only thing to note is that we came on a Saturday evening, and the music in the bar area can get quite loud. If that’s not your vibe, I’d suggest visiting at a different time, but overall, the atmosphere was fantastic!

I visited their sweet shop which is adjacent to restaurant. Sweets and snacks taste good. Service is pretty fast, neat and clean place. Tried their restaurant as well. Good food with great taste. Loved it.

Amazing food as always at Lilys! They do a vegan paneer and it’s beyond incredible - I have since been back twice to have some more! I also recommend the Lilys Vegan sizzler (pictured) My 2 children loved the food here and the curry spice level can be adjusted for them which is great for fussy eaters! We also ordered some noodles from the indo-Chinese menu just incase the children found things too spicy, however that wasn’t the case and everything was devoured!

The food here is incredible, eveything is clearly made fresh and to order! Very highly recommend. The atmosphere is really good (music isn't too loud etc), and finally the prices of the food is very reasonable, espcislly considering the portion sizes. A gem of Manchester!

We came to Lily’s for our Valentine’s Day meal and it was wonderful! The service was extremely quick and all of the drinks and food came out fresh and delicious! All of the staff were so kind and attentive and made us feel very welcome. The curries we ordered were delicious, and our starters were too. Plenty of gluten free options available too. Would definitely recommend! 😄

Delicious food and lovely service. We had the fillet and ribeye steak, with the bone marrow gravy. The gravy was amazing. The puddings were also great. The sticky toffee pudding was delicious, the clotted cream especially as it wasn’t too sweet. The service was friendly and personable. Would definitely recommend. Expensive but absolutely worth it.

I recently had the Sunday roast at Hawksmoor Manchester, and I can confidently say it was one of the best dining experiences I had. The beef was perfectly cooked, juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The Yorkshire puddings were towering and crisp, with just the right amount of softness in the middle. Accompanied by rich, savory gravy and roasted vegetables that had the perfect balance of crispiness and tenderness, every bite was a joy. But what truly elevated the meal was the cheese cauliflower. Creamy, decadent, and packed with deep, cheesy flavor, it was the perfect side to complement the roast. The service was impeccable and the ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, making it an ideal place for a leisurely Sunday meal. Highly recommended!

Food is just wow. Had the ribs as a starter. Very soft and tasty. A sharing 550g Ribeye for the main was the best I've ever had with mash and chips to go with it. To top it off, a sticky toffee pudding for desert. Blew me away. Best desert I've ever had too. Service was exceptional. Didn't catch the name of the young lad with short brown hair but his service was top notch. Will definitely be back

My partner and I attended for super whilst visiting the city. We both had Rib Eyes cooked to different temperatures. Both steaks were saved at the same time and with a perfect cook. The char flavor was outstanding. I just wish the steak had a little more crust on the outside. Sides were great but bread and butter was an extra charge. Cocktails were great but served in below average glasses with too much ice so they weren’t a good value. In the end we will return but willing order any cocktails.

I ordered from the Gluten Free menu. A great choice and very reassuring that what I was eating was suitable for my dietary needs (Coeliac). All meals on the table were beautifully cooked and well presented. Service from Michelle was amazing, attentive, polite and friendly. Michelle took our orders and checked that everything was satisfactory during the meal. Professional service from Michelle throughout the duration of our meal.

Had lunch for four today which was delicious. We had starters and mains and all dishes were beautifully presented and very tasty. Our only regret is that we were too full for deserts. All staff were very friendly and attentive (thanks to Paige and Pasha for the excellent table service) and we did not have to wait for anything. We came with a little dog and had booked a table in advance so had a lovely corner spot. Highly recommended, we will be back soon

It was the steak deal but my steak was very small & would prefer more salad than just rocket leaves. Also think there should not be a charge for sauce & gravy should definitely be an option. We had garlic bread to start which was delicious lovely & thin & loads of garlic. Staff friendly.

Had Saturday lunch with family. Lovely venue, plenty of tables, nicely decorated, great surrounding views. Large carpark also. Food was excellent, drinks choices were good too. 2 for 1 cocktails worked well. Service was very friendly, but very slow. Fortunately, we weren't in a rush, but this could have been a real frustration had we had somewhere to go afterwards. We hit our online booking finish time before we'd even finished our mains.

Lovely food, there was a wait in-between starters and mains but it was packed so understandable. The food portions where huge and very tasty.

Food and service is amazing! We have been 3 times and have loved every visit. The fillet steak is huge and includes the fries and sauce which is so good value for the money and the cheesecake was delicious. Has been really busy every time we’ve come and I can understand why. We love it here!

Wanted to try Sorriso for ages, we finally went for our wedding anniversary a few weeks ago. A great menu, plenty to choose from and very reasonably priced. A lovely open restaurant and good service. The food is nothing shy of stunning, would definitely recommend to give it a go.

Went this evening without a reservation and even though it was very busy they still managed to find us a table in about 10 minutes and kept us informed during the wait and could not have been nicer. The food was excellent- my wife wanted very mild Korma and it was perfect. All the staff were very friendly and engaging including the owner who was very professional and courteous. We will certainly be returning even though we are only visiting for a couple of weeks. Highly recommended.

We visited Amaani on a Saturday evening without a booking they were more than happy to accommodate us. The staff are friendly and I asked the waiter what he recommended and OMG it was absolutely the best curry I have ever tried. It was a specialty curry and the chicken had been pasted through flour and the fried and added to the curry 😍 Highly recommend and I will be visiting again soon 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Wow! We had our Christmas dinner here today, and what a lovely experience it was! The food is awesome and the staff can't do enough for you. The head waiter knows his stuff! Our bill came to £105 on Christmas day! I paid more than double that before for rubbish on Christmas day 🤷‍♀️. Absolutely will be back, thank you so much. The prawn cocktail was absolutely delicious and so worth every penny and more 😋

Visited twice in quick succession now and it’s quickly become my favourite spot in town. Expert service that feels effortless, but expert, amazing wine suggestions, and perfect food that leaves me planning my next visit before I finish the last bite. Love, love, love.

I went to higher ground for a lunch with family. The food was out of this world and was modern British cuisine. Waiters and hostess working there were very cooperative and friendly. They attended us immediately as we went right on time we were booked. We tried the tasting menu which was was very surprising - Hostess told us that they won't tell us about the menu as that's there way of making you feel good about the food and have no anticipation whatsoever (no partiality either). This was surreal as I felt and gave my first reaction which was honest to the core as the different courses of food kept on coming. I totally recommend this place if you have a special day to celebrate or if you are looking for a peaceful lunch and evening with a loved one in cool and breezy sunshine of Manchester. :)

Fantastic restaurant showcasing fresh seasonal ingredients. They serve a selection of small plates and some larger ones with a regularly rotating menu. The staff were lovely and very helpful and everything I had was super delicious. I particularly enjoyed the tomato dishes and the beef tartare. I managed to snag a seat at the counter too so could watch the chefs prepare everything in their open kitchen. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

Amazing food, went for sharer menu and very happy with portions and sizes. By end was thoroughly full and pleased. Some stand outs was Yorkshire Rhubarb dessert and also the Beetroot with smoked cod roe Negroni cocktail was amazing as well as organic orange wine. Great place and look forward to visiting again
