Absolutely gorgeous buffet by old mill house for my daughters 30th. Accommodate me at last minute with excellent communication as to what I required and delivery. Absolute all round kind, caring people. X

Never fails to disappoint. All home cooked, fresh and good portion sizes. Always a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Had a lovely lunch at the Old Mill House today, as a visitor.. The staff were warm and friendly,as well as some of the other diners. Nice and clean. The menu has a varied choice of good hearty food.,the sort mother used to make. All home made, Chips Veg, Assorted pies/rag puddings.as well as a Specials board. Then theres assorted sweets. At the moment the price is £5 for lunch and sweet. Will certainly go to see Joan and the staff again soon. Orders are taken via phone ect.. Well worth a visit.. Thank you.

I Have known Joan and Nikki for a long time they have always supplied my pies for my family get togethers they are by far the best around and very good value never had a complaint yet Joan has even catered buffets for me nothings ever to much trouble.

Such a great vibe at this restaurant, really enjoyed the all plates £6 deal! Food is amazing and there is also a great cocktail menu

Amazing food, even better service! All the staff are really friendly and the food is always fresh and cooked to perfection, we even got offered free cocktails because the staff were making a promotional video for social media. I wouldn’t expect this again but even so, it made the experience even better!! Would highly recommend!

The food was amazing but a little bit overpriced taking into consideration weird school diner vibe. I'm sure the owners tried their best but the place was freezing cold with drafts from the walls and windows. The tables were out of the style and I just felt like in an American diner with dimmed lights. For the price of the food I expected the place being more fancy rather than being squeezed in a little square table with no space where to move or eat on. Cocktails were also lovely but totally not worth the price. 4 stars for the food quality as the food saved my whole experience.

What a great pub. Had no idea of it's existence until today but I'm sure it will become a place we regularly visit. The food (steak and kidney rag puddings for all plus choc orange cake and apple pie for dessert) were all fantastic. Some of the best pub grub I've had anywhere.

The food was beautiful! Really really good. We sat downstairs as there were lots of tables reserved (I'd recommend booking a table if you can) especially if you are visiting on a weekend. The food was really delicious. Dog friendly as well which is a bonus and we even got a sausage for our doggo! Highly recommend!!

Been here for the past 2 years for one of their Christmas party nights with my group of female friends. Always lovely food (best we've had at a party) attentive and professional staff, and a DJ and dance floor to dance the evening away if you choose to. A local brass band called in and played a few carols while we ate. A fabulous evening x

We ate at the White Hart on Christmas Day and it was a wonderful experience. The set and the tables were set up so well. The service was impeccable and the food was tasty and well cooked. Nothing was rushed it was a truly enjoyable day and the staff did everything they could to make it special.

An excellent venue, ran by a top-notch team, with fantastic food! We recently held a car club pop-up meet here, and the team went above and beyond. The initial booking, marshalling the large car park, exemplary customer service, a beautiful function room, and delicious food. The whole evening was 10/10. A special thank you to Eric, who made sure everything was to his high standards. We can't wait to return and would highly recommend.

A beautiful venue, a lovely warm and cosy pub area and a fantastic wedding venue! We got married here in May 2024 and we couldn't be happier with our day and the rooms we stayed in before and after the wedding was beautiful! Staff was very friendly and they bent over backwards to make the day perfect! Thank you xx

Lovely accommodating staff and good food. What more do you need. 4* as the pizza was good but could be tastier and needs more meat. I recommend the homemade chips.

Lovely food , very nice staff . Lots of families enjoying tea out . Car park over the road . Only slight whinge is the hand cut chips were a little pale and dry , but not a reason not to return . Pork belly bites were to die for and the stone baked pizzas were lovely to . Nice tea out 9/10 x

Went for Sunday lunch, service was good, nice chilled out atmosphere and reasonably priced. The meat was a bit tough and hard to cut through otherwise the meal was nice.

Very friendly staff, recommend booking, car park not very big but can park on the road. Food choice amazing, curry night on Mondays, Tapas 5 dishes for £20 on Thursdays and Saturdays, set menu great value, lots of specials on the board both main and starters. Excellent choice of meals on the main menu, average prices, we had the Moroccan lamb , very spicy served with rice or chips and vegetables, generous portion, really tasty, food came quickly, seating outside but not dog friendly inside, didn't ask but they probably would allow dogs outside, best to check . A bit hard to find but we'll worth the effort, thanks to all the staff, and the Chef, your food was delicious

Visited the Old Original for their Friday Steak night and we were not disappointed. Streaks were cooked to perfection with plenty of accompanying sides. The service was quick and friendly, the overall atmosphere was great just how pubs used to be and still should be.

Homely atmosphere, especially with the open fire. The food was outstanding; the nicest fillet steak I've had in years. I will definitely be returning! Maggie x

Called in on the off chance of getting a meal. 4 adults starters and mains, food was delicious, portions were something else. Only disappointment non of us had room for a dessert.😋 Staff were the most efficient any of us have had lately and certainly knew the menu.

From beginning to end, the experience was absolutely fantastic. Having become accustomed to haphazard service over the years, it was really a breath of fresh air to find somewhere that does customer service properly. Attentive, friendly staff serving some of the best food in the area. We had a great night and will be returning soon!

Chicken skewers, Pak choi and Thai green curry - quite spicy 🥵 Scampi and chips - very enjoyable Sticky toffee pudding and ice cream - what more can I say 👍🏻 Apple and pear crumble and custard - lovely

The burger was nice and noodles were average, something we could make at home. However we enjoyed the chips. The prices are quite high for the area.

I came back to this lovely eatery after many years... Thank goodness it hasn't changed! The food was incredible, the service was attentive and the experience was definitely worth it! Even the chef was checking all that came from the kitchen was okay, top notch service. I always get a selection of things and I've not been disappointed yet - from the drinks to starters to mains.., personal favourite has to be the lamb cutlets for the starters... I would happily have 5 just for me! I can't recommend enough, if close by, give it a go

First time ever ordering from here tonight and honestly it was the best food I’ve had from a takeaway in a very long time absolutely beautiful steak and all the sides was so tasty going to be our regular takeout now

I recently visited Zarak Steak House and ordered the côte de boeuf steak with peppercorn sauce. Overall, I enjoyed the plate—beautifully presented. The peppercorn sauce was very good, adding a rich, slightly spicy kick that complemented the steak well. However, there were some areas where the experience fell short. While parts of the steak were tender and juicy, a few sections were noticeably chewy, which I suspect could be due to ageing or insufficient marbling. The accompanying vegetables were average at best, and the sweet potato fries were also just okay—nothing particularly memorable. Another issue was the presentation. I’m not a fan of food being served on a wooden chopping board instead of a proper dinner plate. It feels like an outdated fad and doesn’t add anything to the dining experience. Also felt slightly ripped off with the soft drinks, I ordered an Irn-Bru, which was served in a glass rather than the authentic bottle, and it lacked fizz, making it less enjoyable and did not justify the premium. While the flavors of the steak and sauce stood out, these other elements detracted from the overall experience. The service and ambiance were good, and I’d still consider returning to try other dishes, but there’s room for improvement.

Wonderful food and delicious service! The meal was really delicious and the atmosphere was perfect for catching up as a small group of friends with some good wine! We will definitely come back, really good expertise!

Food was nice but staff were not that attentive and the bill was wrong at the end, I don’t normally check it, not sure why I did. Easily rectified though

Just had a bottomless brunch. Superb small plates and endless cocktails combined with a very friendly welcome and excellent service. Especially Pip and Jake, thankyou.

Initial impression well presented from outside,  warm welcome and friendly staff from the outset, starter - garlic bread with cheese (slightly on the oily side but still light and tasty, winter vegetable soup ( full of flavour, warming and tasty). Whilst waiting between starters and main, had the pleasure of watching the kitchen operate and WOW like a well-oiled machine again very professional and a joy to watch Main - fillet steak cooked to perfection, not very often you find somewhere that knows how to cook a steak, lasagna nice and tasty, well presented, garlic bread side was slightly oily but again no detriment on the meal at all The only downside during the meal was the spraying of tables directly, and not to cloth first Cleanliness was by far the best I've seen, toilets were to a very high standard and fitted with high-end fixtures and fittings. The staff were very polite and friendly, very courteous by far the best service I've ever received

One of the best restaurants I have been to for a long time. The warm welcome from staff is the first thing you notice. Such a lovely place. The food is amazing. Today we had pate and prawn cocktail for starters followed by the sirloin beef dinner. The beef was cooked to perfection and the veg and potatoes were perfect. We had the blue Yorkshire cheese desert served with a glass of port. 100% fantastic value for money

If I could give more stars for service, I would! After dining at Salt for my birthday last night, from start to finish it was superb. The service was excellent and the food out of this world. For top class dining it was very reasonably priced. Thank you for a fantastic evening and a rememberable birthday, I’ll be back soon.

Treated my wife to a nice meal for her birthday. Salt did not disappoint. The staff went out of their way to make sure it was not just another meal out, but an experience to remember. Fish was cooked perfectly and the different salts added a whole new dimension to the meal. A little pricey however worth it for special occasions.
