Cannot praise Casa Carlos enough. Right from being greeted by the lovely Sophia the atmosphere was second to none. Feeling relaxing, comfortable and at home it took me back to my many times abroad visiting tapas bars certainly could have been anywhere but Wigan Town centre. We were offered drinks then later ordered our food at no time did we feel rushed and our personal requests were taken into consideration with no fuss. Oh my days the food was delicious and presented so well and good portions compliments to Callum the chef perfection on a plate! Deserts were delicious almost too nice to eat as they were presented so well. As we wrapped up our dining experience we all agreed we would definately be returning . Lovely building and a really nice restaurant. The food was really nice with lots of flavours and colours like you would expect from a Mexican but my only critique is I like spicy food and asked for it to be hot but unfortunately it was very mild. Other than that we really enjoyed it

Amazing service and perfect food. We love our every visit in La Sentidos Loca. Never felt disappointed. Today we have visited La Iguanas and all I must say.. Sentidos Loca is definitely our favourite!

First time at La Sentidos Loca, and definitely won’t be the last, had amazing service as soon as we stepped through the door, sharing nachos to start with Cluck and Moo burger and Slow cooked beef tacos, all fantastically presented and delicious. Food is well priced with a good prices drinks menu . Absolutely worth a visit

I had the beef chilli tacos, and wow, the portion was huge! The tacos had melted cheese, beef chilli, radishes and pink onions, all three were full of filling. There was nicely flavoured rice on the side too, and a side salad. The soured cream dip was nice too, coming from someone who doesn't like soured cream! It was only £13.75; great value for money. Service was fast and staff were polite. Good atmosphere too: every table got a sombrero!

Upon our arrival, we were initially uncertain about the establishment. Yet, the moment we entered, we were welcomed by a delightful host and an enchanting ambiance. The venue captivated us with its beauty, and the staff’s exceptional service was truly remarkable. The extensive menu offered a diverse selection of culinary delights. From the beverages to the appetizers, and all the way through to our entrees and desserts, each dish was exquisitely tantalizing! I wholeheartedly endorse this dining experience.

Felt really welcomed on entering the restaurant, staff were lovely and attentive. We were seated and asked for drinks and they were brought promptly. We ordered the lamb rump and the pork three ways, no starters as I noticed they offered a cheese board for dessert! Food was amazing so was the service. Highly recommend.

By far the best Indian restaurant in Wigan, the food is excellent and brilliantly presented using dry ice to add a dramatic effect. The staff are always friendly and nothing is ever too much. Zak and the team should be very proud of this gem on a restaurant.

Came here for a boxing day meal. Very gorgeous place and instantly felt welcoming. A lot of staff for a busy day and all tables were soon filled after our arrival. There are plenty of options on the menu. I got a 3 course meal, which was delicious, and we had regular check backs for service and drinks. All of the staff you could see were incredibly busy, and all made efforts with the customers to ensure a memorable atmosphere. We were even visited by the chef at the end of the meal to receive additional feedback. Nice little touch. We will be back. My only slight ever concern, was our location point, situated across from the staff room which released cold air each time someone left / entered which was a door used on most occasions so I did feel cold most of the time eating, despite having a Cardigan on. Anywhere else seating wise, I could imagine this being no problem. Also, whilst we were in the middle during busy service, it did become crowded, and there seemed to be a lot going on, which made me a little anxious. The staff were very effective with table turning and seating customers / quick turnover, which is needed during the festive season. That being said, the turnover actually became a little wild, sliding chairs past our table to line across the wall - multiple times and shouting across the restaurant to each other to communicate needs for setting up the table. Obviously, business is business, and it's great to see good communication, but it did feel like I was at a crazy bar, not a dining experience at times. I'll give it another go because understandably it was a busy evening and the staff really cared about the service to ensure everything is running smoothly. For me, I might try an evening where it's not too busy and seated away from the door. Thank you for the meal and service. Overall, we did enjoy it! 😊

We visited for a birthday celebration treat and were absolutely thrilled with the experience. It was our first time here, and it truly exceeded our expectations! The food was incredible, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, friendly and attentive at every turn. A special highlight was when the chef personally came out to greet us – such a thoughtful touch. We’re already planning our next visit, and this time, it might just be a date night! Highly recommend if you love a great curry!

Delicious Roast Rump of Beef served with a range of fresh vegetables including cauliflower cheese as standard. Cosy atmosphere polite., friendly and attentive staff plus a great soundtrack . What a find so close to home. We highly recommend a visit .

Sunday roast dinner was amazing, so tasty. Plenty of drinks to choose. Good cocktails promotion on Tuesday to Thursday at 5 pm till 8 pm. Clean toilets. Nice atmosphere.

I recently celebrated my birthday at Melis Restaurant , and it was an unforgettable experience! The atmosphere was perfect for the occasion, and the food was absolutely fantastic—full of flavor and beautifully presented. A special shoutout to our amazing waitress, Daniela, who went above and beyond to make the evening truly special. She was attentive, kind, and made sure everything was perfect for my party. Her warm and friendly service added so much to the celebration. Thank you, Daniela, and thank you, Melis, for making my birthday so wonderful! Highly recommend this place.

It was our wedding anniversary yesterday and we decided to have a dinner outside the home with the kids. The services were top notch. Daniella was awesome! The meals were so filling and the kids were happy. We will definitely be visiting again and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Amazing food and outstanding service. The waitresses were super polite and attentive. Courses were served quickly and everything tasted fantastic. We were entertained by a lovely lady doing a belly and swords dance. I'd definitely eat here again.

Just been for a family meal. Service was great . The food was outstanding. Garlic mushroom starters, goats cheese starter, and you definitely have to try the lamb chops. They really know how to cook a perfect steak also. The portions are very generous and the food is piping hot and full of flavour. Thank you for a wonderful meal.

Delicious Italian food, with attentive service and a pleasant ambience We dropped in, last minute, and were made to feel very welcome. As it was a week night, there were unbelievable offers on three course meals. We couldn't help but indulge. Each of the three courses was delightful. We started with mouth-watering garlic bread, half cheese and half tomato. Then we had the paté of the house and calamari, both well-presented and delicious. For mains, we had pollo al pepe and a seafood linguine. The sauce for the chicken was sumptuous, especially good for dunking bread and chips! Pannacotta and salted caramel cheesecake were served for dessert and they were totally lush! We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and couldn't fault a thing. What a lovely little find, we'll definitely be back. Try it, you won't be disappointed!

Amazing place to come for great, flavourful Italian food. Came here for the first time last week and we had some truly good food, that tasted very authentic and was excellently made. We had the three courses for a set price option, which in some places reduces your choices for what to have but not here, the options are wide and varied and every taste is catered for. The starters were nice, I had the soup of the day (tomato) and my partner had the breaded mushrooms. It was the mains that stole the show though, I had the chicken breast in peppercorn and cream sauce which was gorgeous! I had the mixed vegetables as my side and all together made a truly lovely meal. My partner had the chicken stroganoff and she was blown away by it, even as far as to say it was the nicest she’s ever tasted! Compliments to the chef indeed. Deserts, again were very, very nice indeed, I’d highly recommend the cheesecake myself. We went on a Friday night, so as you can imagine it got busy, very busy. The restaurant itself is quite compact and a lot of tables have been put in here, so you do sit quite close to your fellow diners. It is close, but not close enough to become uncomfortable, there’s just enough space. The staff are highly attentive and serve you quickly whenever anything is needed. The food and drinks come quickly as well, you don’t have to wait long at all and all empty plates and glasses are cleared away quickly. Even though your orders come swiftly and plates go as soon as they are empty, you never feel rushed at all and as stated, the staff are very helpful, professional, polite and always serve you with a smile, it’s simple things like that, that make dining here a must. I’d highly recommend coming here if your craving good, hearty authentic Italian food.

probably the best pasta i’ve ever had, linguini di mare…. fresh ingredients and stuffed with sea food, staff we’re helpful and friendly without being in your face, not over priced either, beer was ice cold 10/10……. forgot to take a pic beforehand 😬

Absolutely loved the whole experience from start to finish. We didn't book and it was busy and they found us a table really quick, all of the servers were polite and friendly and the food was amazing !!! Really good chicken and a nice side of veg and potatoes... Definitely a 5* and I can't wait to come back next time I'm working in the area 💯

We’re sat here now having Christmas dinner. Couldn’t fault a thing. Excellent service, the students are a credit to the college. All 6 of us had a variety of starters, mains and desserts. All perfect and fantastic value for money.

Fabulous food at the wheel restaurant 😋 I went with my mum and sister and had a great meal. It was a shame that there weren't many tables in dining, as these young students need the experience of a full restaurant. They are open Tuesday and Thursday for lunch at 12,12:15,12:30, and the same days but for the evening at 6 pm, 6:15,6:30. We arranged a table on the day so they do take in last min bookings and the drinks prices are excellent 👌 Highly recommend the fish n chips 😋 the fish was the best fish n chips I've ever had, the batter was lovely and light, and the home-made tarter sauce was excellent only thing missing was some mushy peas but the veg that we had to share between us was excellent and could have fed another 4 people, we had carrots, new potatoes, green beans with a ragu sauce and another portion of chips. Honestly, I can't recommend this place enough, and for the price of £17.95 ( for the evening/dinner menu), we all left completely stuffed. we also had a cup of tea at the end and a homemade biscuit 😋

We've been 4 or 5 times with various people and the food has been brilliant. Not just good for collage students... It's really good! You get a nice (and still cheap) meal and students get a chance to learn and work towards a future in catering.

An excellent New Year’s Day meal this evening. The surroundings are perfect, and the restaurant is beautiful with everything wonderfully presented. Our food was superb—10 out of 10. The service from Jack was outstanding; he recommended excellent dishes and paced our meal perfectly. We will definitely be returning. A big thank you to Jack and all the staff at Albert’s Standish!
