Great place. Good place for bikers with a good atmosphere. Sadly they had run out of bacon but I had a very nice cheese and ham panini and a latte

One of the only decent bike spots for a brew that has not been overcome by idiots. They do some decent toasties, paninis etc. Every time I go here I end up chatting for hours with other bikers, the Gasket is something that brings us together. It's not just for bikers though, I've brought my toddler here and have seen many cyclists, dog walkers, workmen and people from all walks of life.

First time here today. I absolutely love it!!! The girl that served us was brilliant. She warned me not to leave my leather unattended because she wanted it lol. The food was amazing, bacon, brie and caramelised onion pannier, so recommended. Then there's the cakes, oh my lord...awesome. Thanks, we will definitely be back

What a cute little cafe, would easily go in noticed. What you see is what you get but it is cosey and rustic to set a lovley atmosphere. Service can be slow as there was only 1 lady serving. Coffee was so tasty and smooth, highly recommended. Cakes seemed home made also.

100% would recommend, the food is amazing! The staff are friendly and very accommodating, the shop could be busy but they treat every customer like they are the only customer in the shop when ordering. 10 out of 10

We had a lovely afternoon tea to celebrate my in-laws 80th birthday. Food was delicious and amazing value for money. Will and the staff were so accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. They even sang happy birthday and made the bday boy feel so special. Definitely recommend 👌

Very nice little cafe on Wigan Lane, we both had toasties. Cheese, ham and tomato, and a bacon melt. Good, quality thick bread with a good amount of filling. The toastie comes with slaw, salad and crisps, I think they were about £12. Lovely, friendly staff and it got busy very quickly! We didn't book but others had, so I'd recommend booking to avoid disappointment. I'm definitely returning soon!

This cafe is a hidden gem with a charming and peaceful outbuilding behind it, where you can enjoy a warm fireplace and a scrumptious cheese cake. The place is festive and cozy, adorned with lovely Christmas decorations. I highly recommend it!

My mum and I had afternoon tea for 2 people in the lodge area behind the cafe, it was really scenic, warm and cosy, we felt very comfortable and the staff were very welcoming and made you feel as if you were a regular despite it being our first time there. The afternoon tea consisted of a big pot of tea, a sandwich of choice (which was delicious, we had the ham and the egg mayo), salad, lovely crisps and a homemade scone with jam and butter. The scones were served warm and fresh, I couldn't say which was my favorite part as everything was superb. Will definitely come again, it was worth the price!

This is a pleasant little coffee shop popped up near the river. You will easily miss it if you are walking along the river side, but cross near the little park and you will see it. Coffee is OK, not great or terrible. Been twice and perhaps a little weak? Food was nicely presented and prepared and reasonably priced. A bit of a shame they don't use better sausages than Richmond we have a few nice butchers in the area! But I'm sure I'll pop back, nice chill little place with decent enough food and coffee.

Today we walked around to explore the area because we just moved here. We found this nice small cafe next to the riverside park and decided to get some breakfast. I ordered an americano with “the lox” (panini with salmon and capers) and both were lovely. The atmosphere is cozy and I will be coming back here with my dog, as this place is dog friendly! It has also some outdoor seating space, and the lovely owner gives the dogs that come in some whipped cream!

The food is amazing, and the staff are lovely. I'm vegan, and struggle finding nice food, had an incredible pickled gherkin sauerkraut, vegan cheese, and vegan pastrami sandwich. Also, the best sausage and egg and bacon and egg sandwiches in the area, according to my dad..

The coffee is bang on, I like a lungo and CG put it through perfect, full of flavour and great crema. Soups are homemade and filling, and the tuna melt ciabatta is 🤤. Huge asset to the village and a great pitstop for anyone walking along the river. Highly recommend a visit.

Izzy’s tea room catered my daughter’s 18th birthday party. The food was tasty, fresh and plentiful. The service was amazing. They delivered on time, set it all up for us and made sure we were completely happy with everything before leaving. Everyone commented on how good the buffet was. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Loved the woman working there - she was so accommodating of our orders. The food came out piping hot and was delicious. Chicken was crispy and juicy. The sauces and toppings are unique enough to be interesting but familiar enough to be classic. Fantastic mocha - nice and chocolatey without being bitter. I wish I lived near here so I could eat there often!

Tucked away in Jackson’s Court, between the bus station and Hallgate, this little cafe has earned itself a fine reputation for good food at great prices. They also have a decent selection of vegan dishes to choose from too. Not a huge cafe, but located on two floors, so much bigger than it may look from a casual walk by. We called fairly late in the day at 3PM, the cafe closes at 4PM. And I guess it had been a busy shift. The staff lovely and friendly. But left the impression they had more than had enough for one day. We ordered two different vegan burgers, both had some missing bits, listed on the menu, but not in our burger buns... Both still quite tasty. One dish was supposed to come with curry sauce and without it, it was a little flat. Both dishes cost only £7 each, which is stunning value. Even missing some ingredients! Front of house training needs a tiny amount sharpening by the management. The staff a little casual with customers and their requests. But still great food and great value. With a little more attention to details would easily be five stars. But for the above points.

First visit to Summat to Ate today for father's day. What an overall great experience. Service was very good with lovely staff who were very attentive and friendly and always available. Food was great too, all of us where left full to the brim after starters, mains and desserts. If there was anything I would comment negatively on, it would be having a better (steak knife) and the Music was a little too loud. Apart from those 2 small points we all really enjoyed the visit.

Never had a bad meal here. Service is always great, and the food is amazing. Great variety of dishes to please everyone on the Sunday menu and an excellent price. We will be back 😎
Rating: 5 / 5
We visited last Sunday on the way through to an overnight stay 30 minutes away from the restaurant, it was a must for us as we had seen some amazing reviews online for this place. With the restaurant sadly 3.5 hours from home we knew we had to try it and we were not disappointed!! My roast was nothing short of amazing, I added cauliflower cheese and WOW. The dessert was incredible, staff even kindly put a candle in it for my birthday. The roast was the nicest, tastiest roast I’ve ever had including the Cauliflower cheese. Everything was faultless, it had so much flavour and value for money on the Sunday lunch menu is brilliant. If we’re ever out this way again then we will absolutely be visiting again in a heart beat. The only thing which was disappointing is the fact you’re so far away from home.

Food menu is small for dinner and evenings. Plenty of choices of beers. Dog friendly place so can get noisy with barking. Would go again though.

We went early on a Saturday for a couple of pre drinks before going for bottomless brunch at dough. So it was quiet. The drinks are good and very reasonably priced. If only they had a beer garden at the back, as didn't feel comfortable being sat on the main road. It's bigger than you think inside. Will maybe have to try the bottomless brunch as I heard it's very good xx

Great food in a relaxed atmosphere. Staff are very welcoming, and they're dog friendly, too. 4th June 2023 Sadly, I have not eaten here for some months due to the decline in the quality of the food and its FSA rating. I hope they manage to sort it out as it was a nice place on our doorstep.

A nice place to sit back relax and unwind with friends for some good food and a nice selection of drinks. There is ok parking to the side of the bar or at least surrounding streets if the shared parking space is full. On entry its a nice modern foyer that leads into the open areas of seating. The nice bar is directly in front with nice staff ready to welcome you. We had the breakfast here, the full breakfast. There are options of large or small and the option to add extras should you want more than is set out. It was rather great i have to be straight about that. I probably could of done with the large as i went small. Although it was enough i could of hammered a large 🫣😂. Also here is the option of afternoon tea which im told is very good and has a good array of delicious sweet things. They also do afternoon meals for a delicious light bite and more. There is a cocktail menu in this bar and also wines and beers on tap and bottled. Group bookings are an available because my sister had the start to her hen do here and they was very accommodating to her party. Overall its a great place. Has wheelchair access as its all on ground level. Its not expensive either. Obviously dependant on how big your appetite for food and drink is its very reasonable. Great work guys 🫡
