This is such a nice environment with great coffee, i only visit occasionally but always lovely! Also as a side note last time i was there i asked to borrow a book for my commute and the staff were very sweet and lent me a book despite it being an odd ask. Promise i will get the book back to you once i’ve finished!

Everyone is super friendly and professional, staff know how to make speciality coffee! The place is cute and although it’s tiny, the atmosphere is super cosy and relaxing! Keep up with the good work! This place will be your #1 option for coffee on the go.

We've just moved into our new house round the corner and have been looking for our new "go to" cafe establishment, and wow good experience. Staff are friendly and can tell they care about their customers and needs. And "WOW" the food was amazing, nice clean food and very generous with the portions. It's a 5 star from us and defo our new go to and fav place. (p.s try the amazing protein breakfast poached eggs, beans on toast, cooked to perfection 👌 ) Thanks Guys

Lovely spot on a rainy day. Scandinavian vibe with pale wooden floors and table tops, dark blue seats and panelling at the counter. The coffee is great and the range of cakes make a choice challenging. I went with the chocolate and praline brownie.

An incredibly good independent coffee shop with a great atmosphere, friendly staff and the coffee is always great. Bonus, they have plenty of choice of retail coffee bags to take home!

Calm, bright and dog friendly. Serving excellent artisan coffee. Cool guys working behind the till. When the sun is out in the morning, grab a pew out front.

Stopped in here for breakfast as our hotel doesn't provide anymore and we were really impressed with the place. Lovely greeting from the staff member behind the counter and the food was delicious. Two mini castles and two toasted teacakes. All cooked to perfection. Would totally recommend if you visit Edgeley.

Nothing is to much trouble at the castle. I am a regular with my family. The breakfasts are lovely with a nice range. You can have a healthy Day or a naughty day with lots of choice. Really enjoying going here nice calm atmosphere. Lovely staff as well.

Delightful very reasonably priced cafe serving decent café and delicious breakfasts

A little gem in the area. I enjoyed the atmosphere and customer service from the staff. There are lots of little things which might make you smile, like the Lego salt and pepper shakers. I ordered a latte and it was nice and smooth. The coffee went well with the small full breakfast. The only disappointment was the sad looking bacon. It's a pet friendly place.

Was in the area and had breakfast Sunday morning what an absolute gem (can’t say hidden coz it’s on the main rd)but the atmosphere the music the staff the food are all phenomenal did I mention the music play list was pure cool music the food quality is outstanding came promptly hot and delicious coffee superb I can’t gush enough about this place sorry I’m not a local ( no I’m not related to anyone either) if it was any bigger it would spoil the place loving your work guys I had full English wife had omelette

If you want good coffee and feeding well in Didsbury FFS is the place to go. Excellent breakfasts and lunches , good produce cooked well ( sausages from the local butcher ) fresh farm eggs , good portions, vege options and fantastic homemade cakes . Simple done well. Excellent value for money . Unique decor , fantastic community and great background music. Thanks guys 😊

The place is not very large, and you need to wait in line to get in. The serving speed is not very fast, but the food is quite good. However, the drinks could be improved—my cappuccino was a bit weak. The staff are very polite and courteous.

If you are in or near Stockport, I would recommend maybe walking by or something to see if it is or will be open. I went to look at this place with the family, but it was not open when Google Maps said that it should have been open at the time (This was twice, if I correctly recall). We plan on walking by it again tomorrow; hopefully, it will be open when it should be so. Edit (15/2/2025): Managed to visit with the family, at an earlier point. Tried the French Toast, and while it was quite filling (due to how much there is), it was nice. Also had a mocha, and it was good. As for moving in the building, it can probably be relatively busy, so I would maintain basic caution, but you should be fine.

Found this little gem of a cafe tucked away on Underbank. Ordered the full breakfast which was excellent. The team here are lovely and friendly. Would highly recommend this cafe.

Popped in today to have a nosey as they have just opened. It's lovely atmosphere and very very good prices! Had the most delicious spicy pumpkin & sweet potato soup, and my husband had jacket potato with chilli and cheese. His portion was huge! Will definitely be back again! Oh, and the owners seemed very lovely 👍

Lovely cafe now been in a couple of times after finding it on our dog walk. Lovely atmosphere and the coffees are amazing, mocha one of the best we've had! Bacon butties, fresh and good quality bacon and good portion! Not over priced too 😊

What a lovely place. Bright and roomy. Simple, easy to choose from menu with high-end, good size-portioned food, Served with a smile. Low level music and enough seating to make a small place spacious. Recommended.

We dropped in to the Black Spot Pizza on an evening it wasn't scheduled to be open just before Xmas, and were warmly welcomed by the owner, Ian. Initial misgivings about lack of atmosphere proved entirely unfounded as we had the benefit of Ian to ourselves, and were able to watch as he expertly mixed our cocktails. VERY expertly - he is an award winner! Ian then baked our pizzas from a menu which also included a wide range of Vegan and Vegetarian choices and fascinated us with the extent and depth of knowledge of all aspects of his eating and drinking repertoire. Diana pronounced hers "the best pizza she'd ever eaten" and moved on to red wine - again with Ian's expert advice - while I had two more cocktails! We can recommend the Black Spot most highly, and also Ian's personal contribution to the evening which was just the right balance of friendliness and expertise. We're not local, but have already scheduled our return visit! Thank you - David & Diana

Some of the best service I've ever encountered, our host had a great sense of humour. The pizzas were delicious and there is an extensive range of cocktails that range from the crazy to the refined. Having lived relatively locally for years had never visited but it’s right up there with the best pizza locally. Great selection of toppings and drink selection is great. Book ahead if you want to get in at the weekend as they’ll run out of dough it’s that good!!

Friendly cafe offering a large selection of good quality food. We are able to sit in or take away. Very reasonable prices as well. Road parking and car park directly opposite. Highly recommended.

Had two Sausage, bacon and egg barms to go, and they were really tasty. Great flavor and the service is really good, they are really friendly and will definitely recommend.

A lovely café in the Heatons, which I would be happy to return to! The lady who served me was friendly and welcoming, and our order arrived quickly even with the place being busy at the time. The turmeric latte contained a good amount of turmeric (not overpowering), and the banana and chocolate bread was delicious and moist. The pricing is great for the experience and quality. The books decorating the wall are also available for reading, and they offer complimentary water.

Nice cafe. The pastries are warmed up for you which is a lovely touch. Seating is carefully selected to encourage quick turnover (mostly stools and benches). Good coffee. Small selection of sandwiches. Overall a lovely little place that is definitely worth trying.

Had a great flat white here, the service is friendly and the atmosphere is light and welcoming. They have a limited but high quality range of cakes and pastries including vegan options.

We came here for the first time a few days ago after moving to the area. The coffee was excellent, as was the service. Nice atmosphere and lovely bright decor. The only downsides for us was the seating, at 6‘2“ seating is extremely low and frankly not very comfortable. This is probably done in order to get people moving through the café as quickly as possible, but When the coffee is this good, it would be nicer to have a more comfortable chair rather than a low stool and low table to drink it at. Obviously this is a personal preference and the café has decided to go with their own style, but for me, it doesn’t quite work. Two of us had cakes with our coffee which were delicious, I had the cheese croissant which was tasty but having been heated up was a bit soggy underneath. Not soggy enough to complain, but would have been nice if it was crispy. All in although a good addition to the local heat and more café scene and we wish them all the very best of luck, we will certainly drop by again.
