Lovely friendly city place. Very close to motorway and DEFINITELY better than the services!

One of the best cafes you can go to, very high quality of food, staff and conversation. Cannot reccomend this place highly enough

The rhubarb crumble has a perfect balance between crumble and cooked fruit. Each spoonful melts in the mouth. The apple and sultana pies not only look good but are most delicious. The cheese and onion and mince and onion pies are comforting classics perfect choices for dinner. The home made cakes are mouthwatering choices. Delicious mini afternoon tea. Have visited several times. The food is made on the premises and always yummy. Reasonable prices, too. Free parking next to the cafe.

A really friendly place with great conversation, excellent coffee, tea, cold drinks and food, with a good range of gluten free. If you’ve never been here, it’s definitely worth a visit.

An absolutely super brunch. Lots of homemade dishes to choose. Catherine is an excellent cook. The girls serving were also brilliant even though it took us ages to decide they were very patient. We didn’t want to leave as the place is super cosy but obviously other people also know this place so we couldn’t stay all day. We will definitely be back 😍

Lovely place, great food, reasonable prices and the staff are fantastic. Two meals and two drinks typically come to around £16 and it's a lot nicer and friendlier than any overpriced chain cafe. It has very quickly become a regular weekend stop for us.

Came today for lunch after our trip in the Santa express with my family. The staff were unbelievably friendly and their Yorkshire pudding sliders are the best thing I’ve eaten this whole festive period. Worth a trip back just for them!

What can I say. Amazing and more. We have celebrated many a night here. My children have grown up with this restaurant always being their choice for family get togetherness. I love it here. Great care and attention to detail whether it be a sit down family meal of 6 or an impromptu stop off for a take out. The staff are amazing each and every one of them play a special part in our nights out. I refuse to go anywhere else for my fix of Italian food. FYI the Tiramisu is to DIE for !!!!

Love this restaurant. We always gather here as a group of over 12 family members young and old. The food is fabulous, the service is brilliant. They never fail to make us feel welcomed and special.

The first time I went we were a party of six and everything was amazing I couldn’t fault anything the food the service the wait time it was all perfect although the second time I went the waiter was very dismissive he didn’t right our order down and due to allergies I’m unable to have garlic and onion he seemed to be confused at our order but went away anyway then when the food arrived there was quite a few things wrong with it but then we got another waiter and they were amazing super understanding and really apologetic. Overall I really enjoyed my visit to this restaurant and would absolutely go again.

Great place for a Birthday dinner! We visited at the weekend for a Birthday dinner. The restaurant was mostly people visiting for Birthday celebrations and it was very busy, so please make sure you book in advance to avoid disappointment! All of the starters we had were delicious and the pasta I had was amazing! I absolutely recommend the pasta - I've never had a pasta that good before! The staff were all really good and very helpful with menu choices. Definitely worth a visit!

Absolutely outstanding! Basement Diner is a true gem. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the cozy yet elegant ambiance. Upon arrival I thought that the setup, design & decor was stunning, very well thought out and made good use of the space. Secondly, the service was second to none, big smiles and excellent customer service. Took our order then seated us at a booth. Thirdly, the food was AMAZING. I ordered the chicken wings, 1/4 Chicken & chips & school cake. The chicken wings and 1/4 chicken was full of flavour, juicy and tender. I have 0 complaints on the food as it was bursting with flavour. The desert took me on a trip down memory lane, which is always good. Overall, top lads, delicious food & amazing atmosphere. I highly highly recommend to food lovers in and around heywood or even further, well worth the travel ( I came from Ramsbottom on a recommendation from a friend). Would rate 10/10 if I could.

A great addition to Heywood. Halal, family friendly diner with great food. Their grilled chicken was on point and huge. Their burgers were scrumptious and if you have space don't forget to try their desserts. The biscoff milkshake was so creamy and thicc.

We literally live on the food from this place 👌 Cooked breakfast and bacon buttys Jacket potatoes if you feeling healthy Box salads Or specials that vary from proper cheese pie, curry’s, lasagnas it’s great 👍

Cannot recommend enough! Service was outstanding. Food tasted amazing and so fresh. Best Italian we’ve had by far. Gave us a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate our marriage too. Manager was brilliant with us Can’t wait to go back!

Came christmas day party of 10. Couldn't fault a anything about our time there. Everyone was catered for. Food came out together. Nobody had to wait. The staff worked tirelessly all day we ca t wait for your diary to open for 2025 . You should be proud of yourselves AMAZING 👏

Food was gorgeous, very well cooked and tasty. Service was perfect. Atmosphere was enjoyable. I had the specials, scallops starter, sea bass main followed by afforgato. The entire party enjoyed their meals.

We hadn’t booked but they managed to fit us in. This was our first visit and we were blown away. The atmosphere was great. The staff were lovely. The food was outstandingly beautiful- we both had fish and the amount you got for the price was amazing. So happy with our visit. We will definitely visiting again.

Paid £40 for a 3 course meal and drinks. Always love a date with the girls here. The profiteroles were delicious highly recommend. Service with a smile as always. We love the staff and been going for years. Must be a good place to work as no staff turnaround.

Lovely Bistro set in a beautiful location. The staff were super friendly and I would've eaten everything on the menu, great choice for everyone! We revisited this evening and were not disappointed. I would however like to mention a certain member of the serving staff. I don't know his name, he has a beard and we have been lucky enough to be served by him on several occasions. He has a fantastic way with customers, very knowledgeable of the food and local area. He just makes our visit special and is an asset to the restaurant!

Such a beautifully decorated restaurant inside and outside with Christmas baubles on a magnificent tree in the car park. The restaurant has been treated to a Christmas makeover too. So the atmosphere was just right for 2 out of the three of us to enjoy 2 courses from the Christmas lunch time menu. We were all driving so didn’t get any alcoholic drinks. 2 of us had prawn cocktail followed by turkey and most of the usual trimmings. The restaurant was busy and we had booked. Service was ok - we had to wait a little but we had plenty to chat about. I recall the set menu (with several choices) was £25 for 2 courses - or was it 3?? For coffee we went upstairs to view the lovely grounds and here it was lovely and warm. The restaurant is so attractive and the ladies toilets are good too!!

We visited the Pavilion bistro last night with a party of 16 people for a 40th Birthday. Our party sat in the garden room which was beautifully decorated with a lovely warm fire. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left the staff were incredible, everyone commented on their professionalism, nothing was too much trouble and EVERYTHING was perfectly organized ! The food was absolutely fabulous and presentation was immaculate ! Compliments to the chef ! I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough, it is perfection in every way. Thank you for making our special occasion even more special than we imagined it was going to be !
