A gem in Didsbury – coffee lovers, this is your spot! Mercado Café in Didsbury is an absolute must-visit for anyone who appreciates high-quality coffee. The staff here are true coffee experts, and it shows in every cup. Whether you’re a connoisseur or just enjoy a great brew, you’re in for a treat. The atmosphere is just perfect—cosy, warm, and welcoming, with soothing music that complements the overall vibe. It’s the kind of place where you can unwind, relax, or even have a chilled beer or a nice cocktail. The customer service is outstanding. They truly get to know you and even remember your preferences, always going above and beyond to make you feel at home. The food options are excellent as well. I personally loved the Mi Cubanito Focaccia Panini, with pulled pork, ham, and cheese and the empanadas. Plus, if you speak Italian or Spanish, you'll find friendly conversation flowing easily.

Usually come here in the day - always serving amazing coffee and handmade pastries. Recently came for the jazz night - gorgeous atmosphere, drinks and hand-carved serano ham. All staff are so lovely and friendly! Highly recommend here

As a Colombian living in UK always try to find the places where I can find food from home, and this place really touched my heart; victor is such a nice Venezuelan Guy who save the last arepa for me. If you’re away from home or wanna try something from Latin America you should go. Also the pistachio cafe really impressed me.

My side ting and I, came to Didsbury and smashed an Indian at the great Kilimanjaro, despite this we still managed to find space for fried bread and grapes, a random welcomed dish but we loved it. The cocktails were stupendous, the best we had ever had, and the live music made for sexy chilled vibes. The trap door behind my ting was a wonderful escape (see photo). I can’t wait to take more dates here. Would 100% recommend to anyone as weird as me x

Food - 5/5 - I brought my family here to explore a new cuisine they hadn't tried before, and they absolutely loved the food, especially the Chicken Adobo. They found the chicken to be flavorful and unlike anything they had tasted before. I really enjoyed the Chicken Tocilog and Duck Sisig; both dishes had distinct and unique flavors that paired perfectly with the rice, making for a truly satisfying meal. Service - 5/5 - Two staff members assisted us as a group of ten, including children, and they were incredibly accommodating and understanding, especially given how unpredictable kids can be. They served our food promptly and ensured that everything arrived together so we could enjoy the meal as a group. Before leaving us, they made sure we had everything we needed. Atmosphere - 5/5 - A cozy, tight-knit restaurant that exudes a warm, homely atmosphere—it's the perfect spot for a weekend lunch. Overall - As a first-time diner at this restaurant, I was truly impressed and can’t wait to return to explore more of the menu. I highly recommend it for anyone interested in a delightful blend of Filipino, Korean, and Chinese cuisine. P.S. - Try the Baked Cinnamon Cheesecake, it's so good.

I have been a few times and the food has been sensational every time. Chef and Owner Zo works miracles with flavours. Their menu is great for lunch or dinner and they have baked goods and shelves full of exciting cupboard ingredients which you can buy. They also run master class evenings. Great veggie and vegan options, and dog friendly. If you’re looking for somewhere to eat, give it a try!

Food is delicious, and the cakes are lovely too. Service was excellent. There are some handmade items available for purchase and some fantastic looking food items including a banana sauce! Payment by card is accepted and the chicken is halal.

Really delicious and aesthetically pleasing brunch menu. They have a fabulous high quality coffee machine and top of the range coffee grinder but could possibly invest in better quality coffee beans to really utilise them to their full potential. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, I highly recommend this place.

Only popped in for a quick coffee but stayed on for lunch as the food coming out looked amazing. It didnt disappoint. Superb fillet beef sandwich, chips, salad and fantastic coffee. Top service also. 10/10.

This is one of the best places I have been to in a while . The atmosphere is fantastic and the manager is very welcoming . The food was absolutely delicious. My stake was well done and juicy. We enjoyed this place for brunch . They have a nice selection of drinks and dessert. I will definitely come back again.

What a great little (actually TINY) place. Nestled in the alley between two buildings with just enough room for a coffee machine and a fridge this miniscule place serves very good coffee and great morning pastries. The staff are quick and friendly. There's covered seating and chill, nicely background music. Great place

A little gem in the area. I enjoyed the atmosphere and customer service from the staff. There are lots of little things which might make you smile, like the Lego salt and pepper shakers. I ordered a latte and it was nice and smooth. The coffee went well with the small full breakfast. The only disappointment was the sad looking bacon. It's a pet friendly place.

Was in the area and had breakfast Sunday morning what an absolute gem (can’t say hidden coz it’s on the main rd)but the atmosphere the music the staff the food are all phenomenal did I mention the music play list was pure cool music the food quality is outstanding came promptly hot and delicious coffee superb I can’t gush enough about this place sorry I’m not a local ( no I’m not related to anyone either) if it was any bigger it would spoil the place loving your work guys I had full English wife had omelette

If you want good coffee and feeding well in Didsbury FFS is the place to go. Excellent breakfasts and lunches , good produce cooked well ( sausages from the local butcher ) fresh farm eggs , good portions, vege options and fantastic homemade cakes . Simple done well. Excellent value for money . Unique decor , fantastic community and great background music. Thanks guys 😊

Came for a cheeky Brunch, the food was nothing short of spectacular. We got the halal breakfast and the berry French toast. The portions were huge and prices were fair and good. The customer service from Sophia, Sam and the amazing Amr was lovely!

Had breakfast early Sunday morning. My wife and I had the Halal breakfast and my son had the Avocado Crash. Every bite was amazing - fresh, delicious, well prepared. Perfect. And a huge portion - definitely value for money. The staff were really friendly, efficient and helpful. A great shame we're not local, but we'll absolutely be back at every opportunity to be in the area!!

Our new favourite place for breakfast and brunch! Very tasty and portions are huge! Well presented and always served with a smile! Coffee and fresh juices are the best! One of our favourites chicken shawarma! Very child friendly place. Highly recommend.

Today was the first visit i made to Carmello cafe in Didsbury and I must say I enjoyed my experience. The cafe is nice, cosy and small, it has a comfort vibe to it. I ordered a pistachio french toast while my friend ordered their smashed avocado and berry french toast. The food was on point and so was their drinks. I'd definitely recommend this as a place for breakfast/lunch/brunch

We went for Sunday Lunch and all agreed that it was the best Sunday Lunch we've ever eaten out. We've had quite few over the years at various prices of restaurants and the question is always how close they come to one made and served at home. My wife and daughter agreed with me that this is very close to a home cooked meal - generous portions of meat properly cooked, a nicely done Yorkshire pudding and potatoes that were close to home quality.

Amazingly friendly and welcoming staff serving a comforting breakfast/brunch. The place is obviously doing things right as it always has people queueing for its good hearty food and coffee. The full English breakfast was just the right size to allow you to carry on your day and not sink into a blissful food coma.

Brought our newborn here for lunch on a Monday. Friendly staff. Great food. Came before the slight lunch rush so had good space and felt like we could take our time

Very good food and drinks, service was lovely. Accepts dogs which is always a plus for us. Only downside was that food took long time to arrive even on a Friday lunch time and not packed. Still we would love to come back and try other plates.

It was jam packed as expected for a weekend brunch, however the servers did look after us and ensured we weren’t waiting for long. I had mushrooms on toast with poached eggs and my partner tried the cheeseburger and it was so delicious and hearty we had to go take a nap afterwards. Service was quick and servers very attentive. I wish there were more hot drinks options. For a brunch place, it seemed very basic. Chai latte I ordered was perfect so can’t complain much!!! Will definitely visit again😇.

The beef Sunday roast was lovely. Mariah met us and seated us at our table then was our waitress throughout she was really nice and helpful and even boxed the leftovers up that I could take home for the dog. Thoroughly enjoyed I would visit again :)

Went for brunch and it's such a cute little cafe, really friendly staff. I have the special Turkish scrambled egg and it was so good! I would definitely recommend it. Really nice food and reasonably priced. I also had the art of tea blend and it was good but a bit too floral for me, but still good. They have some really good food and drink options.

Great place to stop for a cuppa, made even better by a second hand bookshop on the premises. My second visit was equally good. The coffee was great. A blend made for them specially and so was the lemon drizzle cake. Also got some very reasonably priced miniature scores from the bookshop. Definitely my first choice for a coffee and cake when in Didsbury

Very nice and cosy place with delicious hot chocolate! Every time I visit I make sure to stop by the bookstore and just enjoy the atmosphere.

Love this place we walked there from longsight to have a good walk with a nice destination to end at, one of my fav places a friend showed me 11 years ago we used to go with our babys, now take my husband there, lovely book shop too, cosy chilled and always great music to accompany the delisous food. We shared frech toast so good home made strawberry jam and hazel nuts with cream freche sorry id eaten some b4 taking picture as to good to not just dive in too.
