One of the only decent bike spots for a brew that has not been overcome by idiots. They do some decent toasties, paninis etc. Every time I go here I end up chatting for hours with other bikers, the Gasket is something that brings us together. It's not just for bikers though, I've brought my toddler here and have seen many cyclists, dog walkers, workmen and people from all walks of life.

Really nice, unusual venue; basically a modded shipping container! Nice range of snacks and drinks, friendly service and clearly established as a favourite place for a stop off for local bikers. Absolutely loved it, and also being asked by one of the other motorcyclists to move my bike as the chrome tank was blinding him in the brilliant sunshine! A great place for a break, although all the customers there when I visited were motorcyclists I noticed that there were racks for pedal bikes and provision for dogs too. Oh, and the flapjacks are delicious!

Great place. Good place for bikers with a good atmosphere. Sadly they had run out of bacon but I had a very nice cheese and ham panini and a latte

What a cute little cafe, would easily go in noticed. What you see is what you get but it is cosey and rustic to set a lovley atmosphere. Service can be slow as there was only 1 lady serving. Coffee was so tasty and smooth, highly recommended. Cakes seemed home made also.

Been here loads of times for takeaway breakfast butties absolutely delicious. They use high quality ingredients were the other cafe we used to use went for cheap ingredients after lockdown.

We went for some breakfast and wow. We had a breakfast barm it was full extremely tasty and great value. The young lady that bought our food was lovely very friendly towards everyone. If you are in this area go to this cafe, you won't be disappointed.

Friendly staff, good cooked breakfast, reasonably priced. Don't let the front door needing a lick of paint put you off. Tucked away next to the car showrooms.

The girl behind the counter lovely like popped in there with a colleague while doing windows and I gotta say the BLT sandwich 🥪 was out of this world and the price

We visit the Strawbale cafe regularly. It’s a little bit quirky but that’s part of its charm. The menu isn’t extensive but the food is reasonably priced, freshly made and tasty. The staff are always friendly and very welcoming. The success of the place is clearly evident from its popularity. Sometimes you struggle to get a table! There is an outdoor seating area but of course that’s not always ideal given our inclement weather. Recommended.

What a lovely afternoon we had at the cafe. Food and drinks were served and presented so beautifully by attentive staff. The whole atmosphere was relaxed, homely and friendly. I shall definitely visit again with friends and my dog.

I love this cafe. It's up at Greenslate Farm. It is such a lovely little community farm that you can visit to mooch or volunteer at. Everyone here is very friendly and welcoming. The cafe is homely. There are plenty of tables with a decking area if the weather is nice. I had analysis day breakfast with was delicious, and others had a toasties and jacket potato. They also offer lovely deserts too. All the food was tasty and fresh and reasonably priced. You can see the chef working too, which is nice. It's a lovely place to visit xxx

Staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food is amazing, presented beautifully and they even brought us a sample of the freshly made soup which is all home made. I had the large toastie, and my mother had the afternoon tea platter. Do give it a try if you're looking for a nice afternoon lunch.

Very nice little cafe on Wigan Lane, we both had toasties. Cheese, ham and tomato, and a bacon melt. Good, quality thick bread with a good amount of filling. The toastie comes with slaw, salad and crisps, I think they were about £12. Lovely, friendly staff and it got busy very quickly! We didn't book but others had, so I'd recommend booking to avoid disappointment. I'm definitely returning soon!

This cafe is a hidden gem with a charming and peaceful outbuilding behind it, where you can enjoy a warm fireplace and a scrumptious cheese cake. The place is festive and cozy, adorned with lovely Christmas decorations. I highly recommend it!

We had a lovely afternoon tea to celebrate my in-laws 80th birthday. Food was delicious and amazing value for money. Will and the staff were so accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. They even sang happy birthday and made the bday boy feel so special. Definitely recommend 👌

I dine here with a friend at least once a week and we absolutely love it. The staff are brilliant and nothing is too much trouble. We have breakfast most visits and they are freshly cooked to order. This week we have thoroughly enjoyed their festive menu with different people (twice). Excellent food, piping hot and very reasonably priced. They have an extensive menu and they cater for most people’s taste/preferences. They are happy for my friends dog to accompany us and the fact that many of their customers are regulars tells you everything. They are an excellent asset to our village and for some pensioners a social lifeline.

Earlier this week we booked the festive afternoon tea from Shevington Village Kitchen. The staff are always pleasant and even as the takeaway option the afternoon tea was beautifully presented. There was a varied selection of tasty sandwiches, savouries and cakes, a couple of unexpected festive sweet treats were also included, which made us smile. It was all delicious and a little too much for one sitting so we were able to have a couple of treats the following day! Thoroughly enjoyable and good value for money, well worth having.

Contacted the business to see if they made Gluten Free products with being Coeliac.The business could not have been more helpful. I ordered a range of pies and I have just had my first 2 Pies. WOW: These Gluten Free Pies are better than I have had anywhere! The pastry was moist in the mouth and the fillings are excellent.You should feel extremely proud of what you are doing. I use this place fairly regularly and decided I’d book in for two people for Christmas Dinner. I had the Pea and ham soup and my friend, the black pudding stack. Both starters we lovely and set us up for the main! We both had the turkey dinner and if I really had to be critical, a couple mor pigs in blankets would have been good, but let’s not detract from a beautiful dinner! Dessert menu, Now my friend had gone on about the mince pie cheese cake for months, so I bowed to pressure and went with it…… absolutely beautiful!! I could go on but that best describes it. So all in all 5* all day long, amazing staff and beautiful food!!👏👏👏👏

I stumbled upon the cafe on a bike ride thought I'd take my Mrs back on the weekend but wasn't a great experience for her 😕 Ordered the soup I had a side order with the salmon fishcakes and my wife had the large bowl, as soups go it was the hotest version I'd encountered (spice wise) my wife couldn't handle it and I only managed it with eyes watering. I made the staff aware of this with no acknowledgement from them as to anything they could do. I would have liked a response from the kitchen maybe being able to cool it down with yogurt or something or a refund for it... instead we got blank faces and left feeling disheartened as every other aspect of the place was spot on 🤷‍♂️

We had breakfast here, a vegan fry up and regular fry up. The bread and homemade baked beans were particularly nice. We both thought the rosti could have had more flavour. Coffee was nice and the staff were really friendly. Will definitely come back. We also took 2 cakes with us which were divine!

I’ve come here a few times and it never disappoints. Came here Saturday afternoon yesterday (five women, a baby, and five dogs) and they made an effort to fit us all in seated inside! Amazing customer service and their chai lattes are great 😊

Nice location, tasty food and professional staff. Good for all meals. We had a breakfast while cycling by once and had dinner another time. Their Christmas dinner course is amazing too.

Great little coffee shop / foody place / bar. Quality furnishings, quirky layout with the old vault as a little side room. Laid back music. Didn't notice it at first while passing along the street - could do with a brighter sign to capture passing trade more. Just stopped for a coffee, was nice, could do with updating the price list to show extra costs like almond milk etc.

It is my favourite place to go and have brunch especially during weekends. They serve breakfast till 2.45 pm. It's a must visit place. Their food is amazing. I usually end up ordering their soup of the day , cheese toast with eggs, skin on fries and, iced coffee. The quantity they provide is really good. It fills you up really well. The food is delicioussssss. I've also tried their vanilla shake as well as their strawberry milkshake. They are all too good. So plz visit and show them some more love. The ambience is also great.

Surprisingly poor service today. When food delivered, it was not as requested, slight mix-up which we adjusted ourselves. While server still at the table we requested another coffee. The waitress returned with a card machine but as we were eating and had greasy hands (toasted sandwich) we asked if we would pay later (as we have done on many occasions), this did not appear to be a problem. As the coffee hadn't been delivered after 10-15 minutes, we went to the counter and found out it they were waiting for payment to be made before delivery, would have been nice to have been advised. Hey ho!

One of our favourite places to go for lunch. The coffee here is always really good and I definitely recommend. The food is always tasty with a good selection to pick from, and the outside seating is much better than you'd expect, covered with heaters spread throughout.

What a lovely little cafe . I only had a coffee and teacake, so I can't comment regards food. But the atmosphere was lovely. The staff too were super friendly. Will definitely go back again for lunch this time. A lovely little shop attached to it.

We had a very pleasant experience . Waited to be seated and given menus although we only wanted a cup of tea. Happy with the choice of teas and delighted that it was loose leaf . I had lemon and ginger my friend had earl grey We might have had a cake but I wasn't tempted by the cakes on offer. Three years ago I had afternoon tea here and was disappointed by the rather hard scones that didn't taste very fresh so I was rather wary!

Not often you get a day out that doesn't cost the earth these days... let alone free!! This us a great community initiative and my 2 grandchildren loved it! There's just enough for a couple hours spent amongst nature. We particularly enjoyed the sensory play experience that is gated and secure for little ones!

Free entry for the Easter open day. Lovely stalls and an egg hunt around the farm. Lots of lovely areas including a kindness garden. Well maintained with cleaning stations dotted throughout. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

For those planning a visit, I recommend wearing comfortable footwear as the ground can be uneven. It’s also a good idea to bring a waterproof jacket if visiting during the wetter months. Overall, we had a great time and look forward to visiting again soon. Greenslate Community Farm is a wonderful place to connect with nature and learn about farming in a fun and engaging way.

I have been looking for a farm to take the kids that wouldnt cost a fortune let alone for free, this farm is lovely the animals are well taken care of and are so friendly. My children loved it, they also enjoyed the little play area. We will definitely be coming again.

Hosted my sister’s 30th surprise party and the team at the Varini went above and beyond to make it a great evening. The food was perfect, we had our own singer and access to music from the venue when singer wasn’t on. Would highly recommend if you wanted to hire the space for a private event!

Lovely food at great prices , went on a Friday and was 241 pizzas which were 12' and extremely filling. The tapas options are also great and tasty. Would recommend going to anyone in the area. Food came in good time and was lovely and hot. Belting place
