What an amazing little friendly cafe. Food was lovely, not at all expensive. Me and my wife will definitely be calling in again soon.

My partner and I are staying at the inn down the road. Couldn't get in for breakfast at the inn. We walked down to north's Cafe and had breakfast there. It was delicious. I would highly recommend north's.

Wonderful cafe owned and run by John, who's more than happy taking care of you and sharing a story or two with you. Brilliant host with great character. Food portion size is very good. You'll get a stack of toast with your breakfast and you'll even get your beans in a teacup! Really quirky, and eccentric but an excellent gimic too. Shop is situated on the high street. Good amount of seating available where you can sit and watch the world go by whilst you listen to Gold on the radio. Value for money is excellent too. Thanks John, we'll be back again soon.

I have been working at a job around the corner from the north coffee shop and found this gem. I’ve come in for a dinner everyday and got no complaints. Top quality food for a very reasonable price. John top bloke and would highly recommend to anyone passing by

We ordered a vegetarian afternoon tea box with delivery for Mother’s Day weekend. It was delivered today and I can absolutely recommend it. A good selection of fresh, tasty sandwiches, pastry’s and treats alongside lovely cakes/treats. There is more than enough for two people, probably enough for two meals for both of them - so great value for money. Helpful, friendly service too.

My name is Debbie. i ordered 4 large pies at short notice on Thursday to pick up friday, and we have never had them before. they went down a treat they was bloody gorgeous thank you they wernt a crumb left 🤣

Had my usual pies plus bacon and sausage barm. I also couldn't resist the mince pies, absolutely delicious 😋

We always use Arundel to supply the meat and potato pie and chees and onion pies for our quiz nights. Last night was as good as usual and several people asked where we got the pies. Exceelent service and quality - thank you.

This is a lovely pub that has the bonus of being located next to a children's play area. The pub is traditional but modern. It gas a chilled and relaxed vibe. Definitely a locals pub, but the landlord makes everyone feel welcome. Lovely ice cold beers 🍻 definitely worth a visit ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The landlord/landlady were great host's and I take my hat off to them for putting in the effort, because so many places just don't bother these days......well done !!

Been a couple of times now also had delivery .. eating in is the better way as the delivery is abit rubbish being just eat ... eating in perfect polite staff always willing to go the extra mile to cook you the best breakfast ever even when the place is hammered with orders foods cooked to perfection by sam and the staff .. Parking is shocking lucky to get a space due to delivery drivers and over customers and no side street parking due to double yellows :(

I pop in when I pass. The breakfast is so tasty and well presented. I've also ate dinner there, if they still serve the rag pudding, I highly recommend it. Even had takeout orders the amount you get in a beef salad box is well worth the money. Better than any other cafe or takeaway. See for yourself.

On one in fact two of the Fridays I ordered an extra large breakfast which is served on a large serving plate, listen to this it was massive and did I eat it all? Of course I did! And one of the girls called kate said to me are you gonna eat all that? I said too right it shouldn’t be a problem for me because im a really really good eater and trust me I can eat. All and all it’s such a pleasant cafe to dine in and a lovely atmosphere especially with nidge and the girls and the cafe itself is always nice and clean every time I walk in. I would recommend this to anyone that fancies a Friday treat! 5 stars from me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If there was a Six Stars then this lovely diner would be awarded it. English Breakfast portion and taste was perfect, and brilliant owners- chatty and welcoming. Added bonus of parking in small carpark. If you are in need of culinary sustenance then Nidges Diner is for you!!!

Am a Lancashire lad and I came here as a kid I move over to Yorkshire at 17 with the family and married a Yorkshire lass And we come here 4 or 5 times a year with our dogs and we just love and it brings happy memories for me

Amazing natural beauty location, enjoyed the walk around the lake, it’s around 4-5 kms , took us around 40 mins to complete the trek, plenty of parking options and snacks selection. Highly recommended while you are visiting the area

A great walk at a very beautiful location. It is honestly a lovely walk whether it's with others or by yourself. The lake is large, the hills in the background give it a great view and very picturesque. There are decent food, drink and ice creams places within and across the road. Parking wise can be tough at times especially when the weather is good but there is a car park at the country park bit and some side roads too. But well worth a visit if you're planning.

A lovely place to stop and walk around the lake, or just to take a seat and take in the lovely views overlooking the lake. Also home to some Canada geese and ducks, plus other types of birds and different kinds of wildlife.

Popped in here yesterday for the first time to grab a coffee and cake. The staff were very friendly and the service was great. The prices are good value for money. So much so, we booked and went for Sunday lunch today. We added the optional starter (pea and ham soup) and dessert (jam rollypoly). The food was delicious. The soup was to die for and the portion sizes were just right. Great service again from the staff and nice to see the owner pop out to check on everything and say hi. We’ll definitely be going back. If you haven’t tried this place, give the new owners a chance and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. The only thing I would say is that I would love to see a good selection of homemade cakes. The only cake yesterday was a chocolate cake (which I didn’t want) but you expect to be able to get coffee and good cake in a cafe these days.

Had a lovely breakfast at Kate’s kitchen and also a jacket potato, the food was good quality and definitely good size especially for the cheap prices. The staff are very friendly and made the experience 10x better. A very cozy and friendly place that I will definitely be going back to

Food was excellent didn't take l9ng to devour and the old stool cake was delicious and latte was perfect that alone would have me coming back if I lived this way

Sausage and bacon sandwich - £3.60. The sausage was fairly decent quality plain pork. The bacon was a bit fatty. But all in all I thought it was not too bad. Service was friendly. The cafe was immediately clean.

Came in the other morning , and despite the large amount of customers the staff were great and all the food was perfect. Didn’t have to wait long either, my favourite place to go for breakfast every time

Love coming here with my son the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. There are toys for kids to play with and a great selection of food. Really pleasant environment.

Called in for a midweek drink. Nice friendly pub. Busy, which was nice to see. Would call in again and stay for longer.

Pop in now again, but very local to hollingworth lake. Kelly the landlady is one in a million. Pub has pool table bandits tvs and is reasonably priced. Above all its clean and not full of kids aka the younger generation. We enjoy our time here. Parking is across the road.

Really nice pub. Our coach stopped there on way to Huddersfield. Great welcome, pleasant staff. Good variety of drinks at great prices. No food, but were able to bring food in from best value chippie across the road. Brilliant!
