Amazing natural beauty location, enjoyed the walk around the lake, it’s around 4-5 kms , took us around 40 mins to complete the trek, plenty of parking options and snacks selection. Highly recommended while you are visiting the area

Nice calm lake to have a stroll around. Please wear adequately in winters as it can get very cold and windy. You will like small ice cream and coffee shops strewn around the lake. Good place for children.

A lovely place to stop and walk around the lake, or just to take a seat and take in the lovely views overlooking the lake. Also home to some Canada geese and ducks, plus other types of birds and different kinds of wildlife.

A great walk at a very beautiful location. It is honestly a lovely walk whether it's with others or by yourself. The lake is large, the hills in the background give it a great view and very picturesque. There are decent food, drink and ice creams places within and across the road. Parking wise can be tough at times especially when the weather is good but there is a car park at the country park bit and some side roads too. But well worth a visit if you're planning.

Am a Lancashire lad and I came here as a kid I move over to Yorkshire at 17 with the family and married a Yorkshire lass And we come here 4 or 5 times a year with our dogs and we just love and it brings happy memories for me
