I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Delightful in every way

Simply the Best! We have been regular diners at Number 4 Dine & Wine over the years and every time it delivers fantastic food accompanied by excellent wine and a relaxed dining experience. We have introduced friends and neighbours to this wonderful place and it has never failed to impress. We enjoyed main courses of stone bass and lamb after our starters, the Christmas pudding is so worth the year long wait, best we have ever had!

Really really excellent food and service. The menu is relatively small, yet it was still tricky to order as all the dishes sounded delicious. The lamb was cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth... and the baked cheesecake was beautiful.

What a hidden gem in Dibsbury! The menu is simple and there’s not a huge choice but each dish sounds enticing! Using locally-grown or sourced produce is the restaurant’s mantra and are masterfully cooked by the chef. The restaurant is cosy and has a homely-feel. Advance booking a must!

It’s where we always go for a special occasion. We went again last night, our kids chose it as they like it so much and it was for their exam success that we were out. The food is stunning, everything is perfect. The service is friendly and attentive and there’s a relaxed ambiance even though it’s busy; it deserves to be. We have been here so many times over the years, it’s consistently good. There has never a been a time when we weren’t delighted with our night out. Many thanks.

A lovely restaurant that is a keeper. The staff are friendly and the food is excellent. Service wise we had to wait approximately ten to fifteen minutes to get the bill paid even though we asked three times, oh well maybe they were busy due to it being Valentine's Day. All in all the meal was filling, hot and tasty.

This place has to be one of the best Indian restaurants we have been to. The main courses were very nice but the starters & desserts were absolutely sensational. Everything is made fresh in house and you can tell. The service was absolutely amazing and lively for a Monday night. Elegant decor and atmosphere. Very polite and knowledgeable staff who we had great conversation with. We will be back again. First time we have ever tipped on top of service charge already added to a bill but it was definitely well deserved. Thank you for a fantastic night.

The food is great here and the service is friendly. We're vegetarian and found plenty of options on the menu. Plus, they were all really tasty. We'd booked a table inside for a late lunch but ended up sitting outside in their covered seating area as it turned out to be a nice day, and the air-con made it quite chilly inside. I 1000% recommend it here, and I'll definitely be back.

Family Sunday lunch. Really enjoyable Sunday lunch. Pork roast superb. Rustic set up - room just about warm enough. Good Malbec by the glass. Efficient friendly service.

Excellent all round. I thought expensive (£180 for 4 inc just 1 glass of wine each) but was told I'm old and out of date with restaurant prices ! My wife had the scallops and unlike unlucky Paul's review found them excellent. Star main was the lamb, perfect pink if asked for it that way. On a pleasant evening sitting in the "conservatory" or whatever you would call it very enjoyable.

So lucky to have this restaurant in Didsbury! Every dish we had was incredible. The portions were a generous size and you could tell the chef had used high quality ingredients. We thought the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere. The staff were friendly and the service was superb. I can't stop thinking about the wonderful meal we had and can't wait to visit again.

Amazing restaurant and would definitely go back again!! Quality of food was great, everything cooked to perfection and portion sizes were really good too. Service was really good, especially for a busy Saturday evening. Ambience was lovely, we sat in the glass roomed area, needed to put the heaters on but was warm enough. We had made a reservation in advance, but upon arrival, we found that the restaurant wasn't very crowded. The service was good, and I had initially wanted to try the grilled peach but was informed that they were out of peaches. The starters, including the soup of the day, chicken liver, and scallops, were decent. The slow-cooked beef for the main course was quite impressive, and the sirloin had excellent value for money. For dessert, we ordered the creme brulee. What's worth recommending is that this place offers a selection of wines that can be ordered in 125ml servings.

We had a lovely family dinner and everyone really enjoyed themselves. The food and desserts were nice. The only issue was the garlic bread which was burnt underneath and we had to get it replaced, the second one was really nice.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious. The staff was very attentive and made us feel very welcome. Special thanks to Rose served us throughout the evening - she was amazing and so lovely. The atmosphere was modern and chic, perfect for a night out. I will definitely recommend it to everyone.

What an amazing meal second time been first time was great this was even better quality of food was amazing service great. Shout out to Paulo very attentive. Wasn’t expecting birthday surprise for my niece who had just turned 12. .

Came here with my wife on Monday, and was so impressed we brought our daughter back on Thursday for her 18th birthday. The food and service were excellent, and the staff treated our daughter so nicely and really made her feel special, giving her one of the nicest evenings of her life. I have seldom if ever felt so welcomed at a restaurant, and the food was beautiful as well.

A nice and cozy place to enjoy some fine Italian food in Didsbury. The fresh ingredients and the taste of good food and flavours is something you can go back with. Some vegetarian options and plenty of sea food options. Worth a definite visit

Came across this restaurant by chance. Reviews were mixed, but I wanted to try for myself. I love small local businesses and wanted to support. Walking in the atmosphere was nice, chilled, and intimate. We were seated straightaway. Had a little time to go over the menu, which had plenty of options. The food smelt amazing. Ordered out starters, which was so tasty I could have eaten two plates! Now, with the mains, we waited nearly an hour for them to come out! I did have to ask the waitress where they were, to which she responded politely that were busy, but it was a long wait. I was a little uncomfortable on the chairs as there was no cushion support, considering they were solid wooden chairs, I had to stand up at one point to relieve myself. Something to consider, especially if the wait is long between courses. The main courses were nice, that made up for the delay and the dessert was also delicious. Overall, a good experience apart from the wait and the food was authentic. I would go back maybe on day they are not so busy.

Let me tell you I have travelled the world 🌎 had lots of fantastic Italian food 😋 this little hidden gem 💎 wow fantastic 👏 the wine beautiful the staff ( family) down to the owner (the chief) amazing best Italian food I have had...and I have Italian friends who can cook...if you want to experience wonderful Italian food honestly go visit this brilliant little restaurant 😀

We attended this restaurant for the lunch menu special which is a really good deal. It’s £15 for two courses and £20 for three courses. Would it be an early lunch time we arrived? The restaurant was not very busy. The lady who was serving us was absolutely lovely though very friendly and very attentive. It’s probably not the best place to go if you are vegetarian as there is only one option for the mains. There is the option of the more expensive menu which we were not inclined to pay for lunchtime treat. Quality of the food was incredible. It was all very fresh locally. I would happily recommend this restaurant to anybody else.

Wow! Why haven’t I eaten here before? Superb from start to finish. The staff have everything absolutely spot on - service was great and food top notch. The manager was doing everything to ensure our large group was well looked after and we all had a great time. Can’t wait to go back and thanks to everyone who made it a great night!

Lunchtime for two We treated ourselves to the sirloin sharer for two , which was served medium rare, sliced and served with carrots, potato wedges and gravy As it takes 45 minutes to prepare, we shared Focaccia bread and olives Plus a few soft drinks, this was in total fifty quid each. Bear in mind the usual lunchtime menu is twenty five and the sharer has a fifteen quid extra. I left full and wanting to try more Located in the heart of Didsbury Village in a charming converted building that retains a lot of its original features, set across a few rooms, with a kitchen in the back. I like the calm atmosphere and the very attentive wait staff. The adjacent car park is very conveniently located

We visited here for a Valentine’s meal, we were sat in the ambient outside heated area - and it was the perfect setting for our romantic evening. The service from our waitress Carmen was great, she was friendly and made our evening all the better. Food also came nice a quickly which was a bonus. Would recommend- thank you!

Great food with great service. The staff are so attentive and friendly. Our waitress Chelsea always took care of us, she's a star. She recommended nice dishes, cocktails were good. 5 stars for Chelsea and Piccolino. Will visit back again to try some more varieties.

An alright roast. The mains were good - recommend the veggie wellington. The yorkshires were good too and the unlimited yorkshires and potatoes. The vegetables were a bit hard though and undercooked. Overall it was a good roast but did not blow me away with the high price. The service was really good 😊

Fantastic local pub. Again visited on a whim with friends. From the moment we walked through the door the welcome was phenomenal. The lady who looked after us just knew how to do her job so well. The place itself has lots of area to sit and it just felt like being at home. I had the gammon which was salty and delicious and served with a quarter of a pineapple. Really excellent food and service.

My friend and I went for dinner on a Wednesday evening at the Met in Didsbury. Considering it was a week day the atmosphere was very good and it’s a beautiful building that makes you feel at home. We had the ribeye steak which was lovely. The onion rings were amazing! We were served by Ry that evening and he was absolutely great. We had a lovely time with him and he’s a very pleasant server we couldn’t have asked for better. Nothing was too much trouble. Look forward to returning. Thank you.

Great pub, Sunday roast was excellent. Got the trio roast, recommended by our amazing waitress, Hannah. Service was incredible and Hannah was super helpful! Sticky toffee pudding was great.

Mum and I have lunch at The Didsbury every month and it’s always a great experience. The food is delicious and the service is wonderful. We were served by Grace today and she was great.

Gorgeous pub with a warm environment and excellent atmosphere, especially allowing dogs. They have a great menu and the portions are decent, a bit stingy on gravy and custard but if you ask for more they will give you some.

As much as I love The Didsbury pub, they get too busy to offer decent service. Tables aren't clean, glasses left behind everywhere but I still come here time after time because of the atmosphere and the cosy feel of this lovely pub. Having completed my daily required walk, a little break is a welcome I deserve. With a small pint to help ))

Myself and my husband had a lovely evening on New Year's eve. We went for food and wasn't disappointed. The lamb shank shepherds pie was lovely, very tasty according to my husband. I went for the steak and ale pie which is always a good choice. Service was great as usual and staff are always helpful too. Thank you for a great evening
