Wow food is bangin! Absolutely loved it quality amazing. Had jerk chicken coleslaw and dumplings ❤️ chicken was fresh and tender dumpling crispy and soft in the middle coleslaw was great quality. I love this food and I hope they do well ! Caribbean is my favourite cuisine real comfort food and this takeaway did its job

Just tried Hummingbird for the first time and it's now my #1 takeaway in Droylsden. All the food is incredibly flavourful and cooked to perfection. The curry chicken, brown stew chicken, and jerk chicken are all sublime. Perfect rice and peas. Lovely crisp, chewy dumplings, and beautifully caramelised fried plantain. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu! Seems to be a family-owned place, it's clean and well-kept, tip top friendly service, amazing authentic Caribbean food. Cannot recommend this place enough!

First time ordering here I got Jerk Chicken Curry goat mix with rice and peas and steam veg. First thing that impressed me was the size! This was huge! This could have have fed 2 people easily! All tasted amazing and I must say I've never had curry goat so tender. Was so good I asked what time they opened so I could go back for my dinner at work, she said 1pm but if I called on the day they could have it ready for 12.30 for me. 10/10 - go here!

Collected some food last night - jerk chicken and rice and peas. Absolutely gorgeous. Dripping with flavour & authenticity. Genuinely nice and friendly people in the store. Droylsden needed this

Quaint, authentic Indian restaurant. The flavours are very rich and have a pretty unique taste. Chef has a good pallete going on. Recommended.

We have been visiting this cafe/Restaurant since opening 5 years ago. Owner Vinod is a 5* Chef and with help his wife Sarita they provide excellent atmosphere and amazing both veg and non Veg dishes to spice level of your liking. Menu has something for everything and tastes per dishes are unique, unlike most other restaurants. Definately value for money. Their 'Take Away' service is also recommended. There is cheap parking across the road in shopping car park/pub.

Wonderful place. Very homely, welcoming team and delicious food. Starters - £7.30 Ajwani Fish Tikka. Delicious, flaky fish. Great portion.... £6.80 Chilli Chicken. Delicious and good size portion.... £2.40 Pomegranate Raita. Superb accompaniment to both starters and mains. Main - £8.90 Saag Gost. Tender lamb and plenty of sauce....£2.90 Pilau Rice. Expensive for the portion size.....£2.80 Chutney Garlic Naan. Very delicious and light. Finished with Masala Chai. £1.50. Overall excellent quality reflected in prices. Starters great for sharing but definitely get three curries between two people for main; and one side per person. Looking forward to coming back and trying more.

Absolutely Incredible Food! My wife and I went last night and we both agreed without hesitation this is some of the absolute best food we have experienced. Note I say experienced, as it was just that. With so many different and exciting textures and flavours going on in each dish. We love our food and can quite often say that a certain dish or food tastes like x, y or z and can explain to others how something tastes that way. This chef and style of food is not something that we can easily compare to. If you like your food then go and pay a visit. A warm welcome and great service. Fantastic value for money. Don't forget to ring the bell on the way out 🥳😁

Finally got to come here (a few weeks ago) and it was so so worth the hype! I loved all of the seafood pasta options on the day, and our star of the show was definitely the Italian fennel with anchovies parpadelle it was so so good. I feel like this place really does pasta well without trying to be trendy or by reinventing the wheel unlike some other pasta bars in Manchester. But this is not to say that the food was ‘boring’ it was far from that, everything we had was clearly made with so much care. They were always very accommodating with my friend asking to take out dairy on certain dishes which was really appreciated Also the prices were super reasonable, with the options for smaller or larger plates. We got 4 small plates (see photo for portion sizes) and it was more than enough we couldn’t finish it all. The only thing is it’s kinda hard to get to due to location but it is worth the trip out!

Fab italian!!! The flavours blew me away! I dare say the best in Manchester?! The Nduja arancini with hot honey was to die for! Already trying to book the next meal the day I finish eating there!

We were very lucky to get a last minute (cancellation) slot, and what a treat it was. A warm welcome from Rebecca and a delightful service from the team. All the hype is really around the food and it didn't fail to impress, the first forkful made me go wow! Portion size, I would stick with smaller size, The cocktails were good too, all in all it deserves the reputation and the long wait for a booking.

Went in for a mid afternoon lunch with my son. Prices were reasonable and food arrived within ten minutes of ordering. The place was clean and well laid out. Staff were super friendly and made an extra effort to make sure my son got some dessert. Only 4 stars for the food because the chips were slightly undercooked and my halloumi wrap had only a tiny strip of halloumi. So portions could be a little more generous. Overall food was fresh and its a good place to grab a bite to eat

I recently celebrated my daughters 10th birthday at the cafe and it was fantastic. The staff were lovely and great with the children. We all felt very very welcome, relaxed and looked after. The cafe always looks beautifully decorated, clean and cared for. The extra special birthday additions were amazing. It was a brilliant place for a get together my daughter came away feeling really special. The waffles, pancakes and milkshakes were great. We always have a lovely experience whenever we visit. Definitely very highly recommended for any type of visit but for a party with some friends it's perfect! Thank you!! X

Been several times now. Great place lovely and clean. Don't walk out smelling of a sweaty cave. Massive plus point. Staff really friendly and have a laugh. Food always been spot on ans tried a few different things now. Pricing is really good and not over expensive. Does get quite busy aswell seats 20 ppl inside. No parking but park in shopping centre across the road it's now free. Keep it up will b back soon.

OMG, where do I start everything from the bottom to the top was delicious literally like the wings extra crispy detailed delicious everything milkshake we got we got a special request from busman gave us a strawberry and an Oreo milkshake mix that one was absolutely Temp. I think we got the pizza OMG don’t get me started with the pizza man literally delicious crispy nice fresh literally if I could give him £1000 I would give it him but yeah absolutely wouldn’t recommend 1000 thousand 100 out of 10.

I love this place. The food is outstanding, I always get the chimichanga, rice and pinto beans. I’m vegan and they can still feed me! Partner loves the chicken chimichanga, the chips are to die for and son with food issues goes crazy for the pizza, chips and milkshakes.

We stopped by Pappu’s eatery on our holiday to Manchester and got 3 different shakes, each only £4 each, and they were all amazing! We got to see them made right in front of us, and they were all finished off with generous amounts of cream and toppings. My personal favourite was the biscoff, but the ferrero rocher was a close second. Would definitely come back if I get the chance and try the rest of their menu.

Brother Nadeem was excellent. He looked after us very well. Please give him a pay rise. The food was good too!

Dishes were really good and brother Nadeem took good care of us. Twice we were asked if we needed anything and if everything was okay. Food didn’t take long to be served. Enjoyed it! Only downside was that we expected more quantity for the price we paid.

We were initially drawn to the restaurant by its impressive exterior, and once inside, we were delighted by the stunning ambiance. While the staff were polite, they didn’t come across as particularly warm, though they were still accommodating. The food was decent, though not extraordinary. However, we were pleasantly surprised when we received a complimentary cake after our meal, which was a thoughtful touch and appreciated for the occasion. The restroom, located upstairs, was beautifully decorated, adding to the overall charm of the place. All in all, it was a pleasant experience, with a few small areas for improvement in service, but the hospitality and atmosphere made it memorable.

Had the most delightful Sunday brunch here! Greeted warmly by the Roof Terrace hostess, set the scene for a very enjoyable dining experience. Fantastic from start to finish. From the food which was faultless & very reasonably priced for the quality. The staff which are so friendly & welcoming, from the 2 gentleman at the door when you enter, welcoming staff front of house & servers, all are friendly & do what they can to make your visit as perfect as possible, especially a tall guy called Miltos. If you want a 5* experience at an average price, you will not be disappointed

I have visited The Ivy Spinningfields Manchester multiple times, and it remains one of my favorite spots. The service is always consistent, and the staff are welcoming and professional. The restaurant is well-known for its excellent reputation and elegant atmosphere. Their desserts are both luxurious and delicious. Their afternoon tea is among the best I’ve ever had. This place is truly exceptional, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Been looking for a decent Caribbean since the unfortunate passing of The Rolling Chef and to be honest I have struggled. I heard a lot of good things about this place and thought I'd give it a try. Luckily I have found a great Caribbean Restaurant in Tortuga which is by far the best around north east Manchester. I've only tried the Curry Goat but the flavours were great and the portion size for the money was fantastic. I often wonder why a lot of these restaurants do not serve Jollof Rice as an alternative to Rice and Peas but I can say with confidence this place serves the best Rice and Peas that I've ever eaten. Although the photos may look dry, the sauce was underneath the rice so it wasn't dry at all. The amount of tasty delicious goat was overly generous and I certainly will be a returning customer.

African and Caribbean food. Lovely friendly professional and very good for the local community. I've been eating in there when homeless people have came in asking for any food they have spare. They always feed them before sending them on their way. I've never seen them refuse to help the hungry. The staff dote on their customers and are always in earshot in case you need them. Yet because they cook everything from fresh ingredients including Halal meat they can often take a little bit longer to get the food to you so sit back relax listen to their popular Reggae music and try their strawberry cocktail whilst you wait.

Had a cheese and onion pie for lunch which was nice enough but the ingredients tasted cheap. The place was clean and food took about 15 minutes to arrive. Staff were friendly but quite stressed and were so busy to fully provide great service. Overall quite cheap nice place to grab some food. Lots of options on the menu. Has indoor seating and toilets

It was quite quiet when we visited. So lots of room. Set up what you would expect from a workers cafe.

The village cafe is a great place for breakfast in this area! The food is always freshly prepared, the staff is super nice & lovely! Don’t mind the shabby place itself, that needs some attention. But otherwise it’s great to have breakfast here 😎

Cheerful staff, great menu which is reasonably priced, clean tables. Only problem is that the toilet is upstairs, but apart from that this is a great little cafe which seems very popular. UPDATE 8 MONTHS LATER Still great service, and nicely priced and nicely cooked food. Still great little cafe for anyone visiting Droylsden.

We've passed this place so many times and clearly we've been missing out! The staff members were great and the food was very nice, i love sweet potato fries and they were nice and crispy. They offered us a range of sauces but i liked the one they automatically gave you, red salt is also an option. The seating area is nice and it was empty Saturday evening when we visited so we got a booth. We will definitely return here! Parking is on street only so you may have to park on one of the surrounding streets

Absolutely awesome love the food very friendly place

First time here with my buddies. Overall very happy with the friendliness and cleanliness. It's about the burgers, really though, and what we had (clucking burger, cheese burger, and double cheese burgers) was mighty and tasty and came with a good serving of crispy hot chips. I particularly liked the speciality burgerfry dip. Sounds like an advert I know, but I was genuinely impressed. 👌

Burgerfy is simply a great burger bar. It's a no frills experience, the ingredients are all top notch and well cooked, and the fries in particular take a special mention as they're often forgotten on reviews, but in this case, they're hot, crispy and tasty. The only negatives are cash only or bank transfer, so they desperately need a card machine to accept electronic payments. Apparently they had one but it broke! Please get a new one ASAP! Parking is also an issue with the location but there's a fair few spaces in and around the streets surrounding the place. Give it a go.
