Really nice food, we went for Sunday dinner, 2 courses £19.50 and we're pleasantly surprised with the portion sizes, especially the mains. Quite a small and intimate room, very nicely decorated as is the hotel throughout.

Visited for food this evening. The setting for the restaurant is beautiful. Very cosy and feels elegant. The chairs were really comfortable and the table dressings and small touches really added a sense of class. Cocktails were very well crafted and delicious although priced quite high they really did deliver on unique taste and expert mixology. Everything we ate was delicious, the mains weren't massive but everything was cooked perfectly and delicious. The service was friendly and professional from Tracey, Izzy and Callum which all added to what was overall a really special experience. Would recommend and return in a heartbeat.

From walking in at the front door we were greeted at reception with a very warm welcome from Amanda and shown through to the dinning room for our afternoon tea. We were Greeted by Lisa who showed us to our table. Such a lovely welcome. Nothing was to much trouble. Our afternoon tea was absolutely delightful. Lisa was very attentive without being intrusive.

I don't often leave reviews but the Galloping Major most certainly deserves one! Myself and my daughter visited the Galloping Major for their tasting menu last week and it was fabulous! The restaurant is beautiful, the staff were very knowledge on the food and wine and made the experience very relaxed and enjoyable and the food was delicious! I cant wait to go back and try the afternoon tea!

Highly recommended - the vegan food range, fresh quality, service and price has been consistent - for the past few years. Come here if you want good quality food and time without breaking the bank. Mint Cardamom Lassi is my favourite drink! Not too heavy and refreshing.

Having heard great reviews about a vegan Indian restaurant, I finally went there with my family. My family tried the jackfruit biryani and panini puri, and I had the dosa buffet, which was £15.99 per person and included 3 mains, 3 starters, dosa, naan, and tomato rice—absolute value for money. I was mind-blown by the simplicity and flavor of the dishes here. 5/5

The atmosphere is very tidy and nice. Also well-designed. I particularly liked the cuttleries and plates. The food is great, and every menu is vegan which was special. Staffs were extremely kind. I cannot complain about anything. The only advice is that perhaps you may want to find a table far away from the airconditioner. The food easily get cold due to the wind. I guess it is personal prefererence though. Toilet was clean as well! They have high chair for babies.

The best Indian Where to start bhaja Pala has been on my go to since the start of the year after visiting sthanm1 in Manchester discovered this was a joint restaurant but the twist all vegan After that I was sold as I’m vegan yet my family aren’t yet open to trying alternatives so finally visited for their Sunday buffet and I quote they said ‘we didn’t even miss meat’ high praise indeed and incredible to hear Now onto the experience itself , on arriving made to feel welcome , a small cosy establishment that had a relaxing atmosphere And for the food … faultless , the buffet was fresh , well presented and great variety , we were shown each dish and if any questions answered knowledgeably From the accompanying chutney , pickles , Papad /poppadom and raita to start and incredible fresh salad , there were 3 starters (Mini Potato Vada ,Tandoori Pineapple And Tofu Mushroom Chilli) Plus 3 main curries (Veg Harlyali ,jackfruit and Rajma Masala ) Paired with rice Peas Pulao and Butter Naan Not to mention as many dosas made fresh to order as your heart content (and stomach capacity of course) that was lovely dipped in Coconut Chutney and Sambar For just over £15 each incredible value for the quality and concept a must try place vegan or not for an authentic Indian and hidden gem in Manchester

Amazing food, was greeted straight away and the service was excellent, especially Fellipé. Our group was so impressed with the food, we will definitely be back.

Tasty food and they were able to accommodate for gluten free. My only feedback is it would be greatly appreciated if gluten free dishes could be more clearly marked on the menu (for example with a little gf symbol), or even better a separate gluten free menu. This would help make it easier to choose, as for example didn’t know which starters I could eat. Makes it more reassuring as dining out can be stressful for those with allergies or in my case coeliac disease. Thanks!

We had a wonderful experience. Despite half our party having a delay arriving due to a late taxi the staff were fantastic. The food was delicious and we couldn’t have been better looked after.

We ate lunch here today. The staff were very pleasant and hands on. We were served by Filipe. The food was excellent. I had the breaded veal and it was outstanding. I would highly recommend trying this place if you like Italian food. They also have gluten-free pasta.

Lovely little restaurant, atmosphere was calm service was wonderful really pleasant staff. Clean and tidy. Food was wonderful we asked for the steak to be cooked more, which was taken care off without issue. The costine was incredible i'll order them next time I go. The portion sizes are huge which was great.

We had some really nice food here. Portion size was good, not too much, not too little. Flavours and combinations worked well. Good attentive service and a nice bottle of fizz for under £20. What's not to love?

Yara is fantastic! The Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food is super flavorful and beautifully presented. We loved everything we tried. The atmosphere is cozy and stylish, and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable, and the complimentary appetizers were a great bonus. Definitely recommend Yara for a great meal with friends or family!

I had lunch yesterday with another 11 ladies and I have to say the food was absolutely gorgeous. The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us. I wanted to say a massive "Thank you", to all the help they gave us, after my car wouldn't start in the car park. I had to wait around for the breakdown and I went back inside, again to their welcome. If you want somewhere to go with lovely food, great staff and a warm atmosphere, I'd highly recommend. The main menus were plastic and the wine menu was paper that unfortunately had food stains on so that was a bit off putting. Playing in the background was a medley of 80's 90's music Fleetwood mac etc..which I didn't mind. The queenie scallops were tiny and probably the smallest scallops I've ever been served before in a restaurant / tapas bar. The meatballs were nice and potatas bravas seemed over done in places a little burnt. Overall the food was OK and I wouldn't say overly expensive but It's a long way from the true quality of Spanish Tapas. VISITED on 17th March 2023

We’ve celebrated our 15th anniversary there, and I was impressed with the service,food and atmosphere. The food was amazing,tasty and cooked to perfection. The drinks were great too,made by a very nice lady. Desserts-just wow!!!A big selection of desserts that you want to try it all. We bought the desserts and tried at home. I recommend the place!!!

Been here a few times, food has always been great. Service on point. We ordered: Starters..... soup, chicken wings, lamb & humas and Feta Salad. Mains: 3x steaks 3x mixed sizzlers. Deserts: 3 x Chocolate pistachio cake. 1 x fudge

Lovely meal. Had the Sunday two course deal which was great value. Staff all very friendly and service was top notch. Would definitely return. The meze was lovely, Donner and rice was very tasty and the chocolate truffle desert was delicious.

Food was excellent and highly recommended. Lamb was especially tatsy out of our group but all food ordered was fantastic.

Just visited to meet up with a friend. The staff are very welcoming and friendly making my trip very enjoyable. The service we received was great with the waiters being very attentive. The food was great but the service that we have received means I will visiting again.

Great place, friendly staff and great food. I have always come here and recommenced this place to everyone. Really flavourful food and good menu. Starter and food arrived quick and kids were really pleased with the poppadom patter 😊. My friend arrived a bit early, the manager quickly made them comfortable inside while they wait for us. Thank you again for the 5* service.

Ate early evening on a Saturday with the two kids. Was relatively quiet when we arrived, which was great as we went to sit through the back section of the restaurant. Would recommend this if possible as it has a lovely intimate atmosphere with a low ceiling and salt stone walls. By the time we had finished dining, the place was pretty much full. The staff were really pleasant and attentive, and actually apologised for being short-staffed but you would never had known. Now to the food... Wow! As good as any tapas I've had in Spain. Our order included garlic prawns, meatballs, creamy chicken, chicken wings and the ham croquettes. It was hard to pick out a stand-out dish as all were absolutely superb! And another amazing thing was how fast the food came out, with everything being piping hot. Can't believe it has taken me so long to get round to trying this place! Will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Dined in the salt cave, which was lovely and nice and warm. Service was attentively, friendly, and attentive. All dishes ordered were tasty, and the Paella was packed with seafood. It was my sisters birthday, and they came out and sang happy birthday to her, which was a really sweet gesture. They even put a candle in her ice cream.

From the excellent reviews, I was expecting a lot. I wasn't disappointed. The menu contains the traditional tapas options, with the odd twist. Everything we ordered was delicious. We ordered 6 tapas between the two of us. This ended up being quite a bit of food. We still managed it though. Some dishes are on the pricey side, but the quality made them worth it. The mushrooms in cream, the pork belly and the albondigas (with cheese) were the highlights. But, as mentioned, everything was delicious.

Fantastic restaurant, service and atmosphere incredible. Everything on their menu absolutely amazing and all of their tapas are to die for. Definitely the best Spanish restaurant we have ever visited and we will be certainly returning when we visit Manchester again. Would highly recommend this restaurant 😋😋😋

This pub is always great, the atmosphere wise, especially over Christmas time. Sometimes I come over specifically for the chance to enjoy the fire, beautiful decorations, a nice drink-- it's very festive and lovely. However, this year, the pub was practically empty, sadly. Must be due to the prices, I suspect. I'd still recommend it but I will not visit it as often as I do The didsbury pub.

Great little pub, easy parking and the food was delicious! The cottage pie balls were a smash hit!
