If you're in Heywood and craving the best beef burgers ever, this is the place! We had these 3x3 beef smash burgers, and let me tell you, they were insanely tasty and juicy. The amount of food you get is crazy, and the owners are super friendly. I highly recommend this place. I'll definitely be going back for more soon!

I had one Smashy Double Burger and one Spicy Chicken Wrap. Amazing, highly recommend! The chili sauce and signature sauce are fantastic.

I had been there in the 80s with my brothers and cousin. Never thought I would be able to revisit. Great atmosphere, food and service. It's a bit out of the way for someone staying in Manchester, but if you find yourself in Bury on the Rochdale Rd, turn left onto Birtle Rd. You won't be disappointed.

A welcoming fire was ablaze when we walked in, lighting was ambient and we were greeted by Emma who asked us to get a drink at the bar whilst we waited for our table to become vacant. No more than 10-15 minutes later and we were at our table, looking through the menu. We were brought here today by my sister and brother in law who are locals and it was sensational. We shared the Sunday roast sharer (which has bottomless Yorkshire puds and gravy) and our wives had the vegetarian wellington. Food was fantastic, really tasty veggies, cauliflower cheese and meat. Service was even better with us having at least 3 check backs to see if we wanted any more drinks, Yorkshire puddings or gravy. As an old employee of hospitality, I really do appreciate when people provide a great service and this was definitely a place with that. Emma and Tina really made us feel at home and we couldn’t have been happier with their service. Thank you so much for a great experience. Will definitely be visiting when we’re in the area again.

Such a good pub , staff are the best here especially the long dark haired lady so so nice 💕 The food absolutely spot on had lamb shanks on bed crushed potatoes minted peas so very nice . First time visiting here booked a table for my mother in laws birthday when we arrived they had put a nice message on a board saying happy birthday which was nice. The staff were all friendly and kind food was incredible we had starters spinach and potato soup main course the beef Sunday dinner and for dessert chocolate brownie. Prices for food were good and you get a lot. Definitely be going again. The pub itself is so nice very clean parking outside nice views going to be visiting here again in summer so we can sit outside.

Had an excellent experience eating here tonight, the freshness of ingredients were well executed to my dietary requirements. (coeliac) I would highly recommend and will be visiting again.

Salt pepper ribs lovely, it was quiet hence the lower score but the staff are lovely so I'd imagine it's great when busy

There are plenty of options on the menu. We went for one of the set menu 'banquets' this time which offer a lot of items to try at a great value compared to a la carte. Attentive service and quality food have made Hoya's a budding end of year tradition.

Been for a meal with friends and ended up in Starkey arms they had an act on and the atmosphere is fab!!!

Great pub, sometimes quite lively, always very friendly, Serves well kep great beer. Bigger inside than it looks, definitely worth popping in if you are passing, bus stop really close by (and handy for the station if you want to get off the train).

Ate here for the first time the other night with my mum and disabled sister. The staff there were really welcoming and friendly. The service was amazing and so was the food! Plenty of room of wheelchairs and pushchairs. The tandoori mix 2 was absolutely delicious! Will definitely be visiting again. :)

Walked past here so many times and thought it was a club of some sorts. It's gorgeous inside and very big. I had the mixed samber, chips and 4 popadoms and it was delicious. Service was spot on and I shall be returning again

Picked up a take away from here and the food was amazing! Staff were so nice and friendly and helped me out to my car with the food as there was quite a lot. The inside of the restaurant looked so nice, I will definitely be returning for a sit in meal. Really good veggie options too, highly recommend

We met up with some friends at West Ivy. It was our first visit and we came on someone's recommendation. The Ivy is good to look at both outside and inside. Outside there is a nice garden with light and heaters if it's a little cool. Inside a modern feel to the decor give a nice ambience. We were shown to our table, given the menu and asked if we wanted drinks which we ordered. A few mins later our drinks arrived. Served with a nice smile and a good discussion about the menu. We made our choices and sat back with our drinks and chatted . The food came quickly and looked and smelled delicious. I have the BBQ chicken flatbread pizza. This was the best Pizza I've ever had. Super tasty, sticky and a great BBQ taste. Everyone said their meals were really great and would come back again. So I highly recommend West Ivy. Good atmosphere Good staff and a great menu.

We had a very nice meal tonight with lovely food and outstanding service, our server Aedan was amazing he went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us and was very polite and well mannered. Will deffinitley be back again soon.

Fantastic first carvery experience! The food was really nice, all fresh veg, massive home made yorkies and plenty of meat for a surprisingly cheap price. Definitely going again.

Came here for evening tea with my Fiance and my little 4 year old child. Was served at the bar by a polite bar man called Tom he was well mannered and very polite. I had a carvery my partner tried one of there burger meals and our 4 year old child enjoyed her chicken piecemeal. We later enquired about booking for Christmas dinner later this year as we hear one of the chefs recommend Christmas lunch to another costomer and that they had already began taking orders this year. So we was greeted by the on duty manager called Ash who explained everything to us so why we was there we decided to book there and then for Christmas 2025 dinner. Can I just say that Tom & Ash are a credit to you establishment and we will be back again soon.

We had our first visit here and had a great experience. The staff were lovely, the food was delicious and it was a great atmosphere. We will definitely be returning. My partner said it was the nicest mixed grill he has had, which for him is a great compliment lol. I hadn't been in for a few years and thought I'd take the wife for lunch. I must say it didn't disappoint, the food and service was great!!!!! Cheap and cheerfull menu with all the regulars on there. Will definitely be going again.
