“recently had the pleasure of dining at this place, that left a lasting impression on me, and I couldn’t wait to share my experience! I ordered the lasagna and 2 chicken steak with chips, with Anda shami burger and it was nothing short of delightful. The lasagna was bursting with flavor, rich and creamy, with the perfect balance of cheese and herbs. Each bite melted in my mouth, making it clear that this dish was crafted with care and attention to detail. Accompanied by the chicken steak, which was grilled to perfection, juicy and seasoned just right, my taste buds were in for a treat. The chips were crispy and golden, providing a satisfying crunch that complemented the main dishes excellently. What truly stood out during my visit was the owner. The owner was friendly and welcoming demeanor immediately made me feel appreciated as a customer. It’s clear that he takes pride in his food and service, which enhances the overall experience. Top-notch customer service is hard to come by, and this food truck certainly excels in that department. In conclusion, if you’re on the lookout for delicious lasagna and chicken steak with chips, look no further! This food truck not only serves up mouthwatering dishes but also offers some of the best customer service around. I highly recommend stopping by—you won’t be disappointed!”

“One of Rochdales missing diamonds that’s finally been found. A place to relax and enjoy the relaxing environment and brilliant service from Austin. Not only are his drink making skills second to none. But his food and sharing platters are a first for Rochdale and something which needs to be tasted! I for sure will always return and enjoy a cocktail, sharing platter, acoustic music session or even a wine tasting night. Bring all your friends and tell everyone about Rochdales finest!!”

The Baum
33-37 Toad Ln, Rochdale OL12 0NU, UK
Phone: 01706 801777
“Quick Facts: ● CAMRA's National Pub of the Year 2013 ● Next door to the Co-op Museum ● Beer Garden ● Dog-friendly ● Can purchase cans to take away ● Featured in the Good Beer Guide Drinks The Baum offers an impressive selection with up to 10 keg beers and 8 rotating cask ales, including regulars like Vocation Brewery and local favourite, Pictish. There's also an extensive range of bottled and canned beers, along with a good array of gins, rums, and whiskeys. Food The food offerings went beyond typical pub grub, with quality dishes averaging around £14 for a main. The menu ranged from burgers to Katsu curry, with plenty of sandwiches and sides. The food arrived promptly, and there was ample cutlery provided. Facilities While there were no pool tables, dartboards, or TV screens, these weren’t missed thanks to the warm atmosphere. The seating was cosy, and the rustic décor felt like a countryside pub. The walls were adorned with signs, pictures, and posters that wouldn’t have been out of place on an episode of American Pickers. It was cold the day we went so we stayed inside, but there was a very nice beer garden at the rear. Service Service at The Baum was friendly, warm, and welcoming. The staff made us feel at home all night. They offered beer tasters and were enthusiastic about explaining their offerings. Though there wasn’t any seating available when we first arrived, they went out of their way to find us seats as soon as they could. Atmosphere The atmosphere is where The Baum truly excels, alongside its quality beer. This pub is a social hub where both locals and staff readily engage with newcomers, making everyone feel at home. One of the highlights of the night was watching Michael challenge the bartender to a game of chess, which was gladly accepted. Final Scores Here are our combined scores for the different aspects of the bar. We each gave a rating out of 10, which were added together to give us a score out of 50 for each category. The final scores were then averaged out to give us an overall score out of 50 for The Baum. The scores: ● Service - 49 ● Facilities - 45 ● Food & Drink - 46 ● Atmosphere - 50 Our overall score for the Baum is . . . 47 / 50 Final Thoughts The Baum is more than just a pub; it's a vibrant social hub with a welcoming atmosphere, exceptional drinks, and quality food. Whether you're a beer enthusiast, a fan of good company, or just looking for a cosy spot to unwind, The Baum delivers on all fronts. The friendly service, combined with the rustic charm and community vibe, makes it a place you’ll want to return to time and time again. It's no surprise it was named CAMRA's National Pub of the Year in 2013—The Baum is a gem in Rochdale that truly feels like home. We all agreed it was one of the best night's we have had in a pub. Brilliant place. Check out our video review at @BarHoppersOfficial on Youtube”

“I recently attended a work meal at Bellavista with around 30 colleagues, and I must say, the experience was absolutely stellar! We booked for an early evening on a bustling Saturday, and despite the crowd, the service was prompt and efficient, thanks to the fantastic team. The food selection catered wonderfully to both adults and children in our group, offering a wide array of choices that left no one wanting. The staff were notably attentive, ensuring our drinks and meal orders were taken and served without any delay. As a wheelchair user, I was particularly impressed with the accessibility of the venue, which provided a ramp for easy access. The quality of the food was top-notch, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the menu to anyone looking for a delightful dining experience. Bellavista truly deserves a 5-star rating!”

“We had our daughter’s 1st birthday party here last week and it was lovely! The food was amazing and had something for everyone, there was more than enough for everyone also. It’s a great place for families, we had small children there and they were able to walk around without feeling like they were getting in the way. Rachel is so lovely and made sure everything was sorted, thank you so much!”

“This is an updated review after my visit last week, in which I wasn't very happy with the service or food. David Wood, General Manager, took the time to contact me and invited me back again so that they could make amends and improve on our last visit. I'm very happy to say that the service of all the staff was excellent, they were all very attentive. The food was excellent and they had taken into account my comments and made changes recommended. The steak was cooked to perfection and the prawn salad looked lovely in it's crystal bowl. I left the restaurant knowing that I will return. Thank you for listening!”
