“A beautiful meal and great service! A visit for 2 for 3pm on a Saturday, booked a few weeks in advance and a £20 deposit paid. Parked for free at the back near the bakery. Arrived 15 mins early and were seated whilst our table was prepared, the wait for this was only a few minutes. Taken to out table and water preference taken, then a server came over to ask if been before (my broth had) but guided us in how to order, make some recommendations and told us the specials. Really useful advice in regards to quantity of what to order for 2 and was then left to decide what food to order whilst water was poured and other drinks order was taken. We ended up ordering 4 dishes and a side and then a dessert each but we shared all the food. The food was delicious, really tasty and fresh, highlights were the Pelmeni and the spatzle with sage and butter sauce, so good! The staff were very attentive but too much, atmosphere was good as it was busy but not too crowded or rushed. Did order 2 desserts (Panna Cotta and the cinnamon brown sugar butter spatzle) but ate it too quickly before getting a picture! Highly recommend!”

“For only a small restaurant this place packs a punch. They made my partners 40th such a special experience and looked after us so well. With gorgeous seasonal food that is so intricately put together I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.”

“I am no longer a turtle bay bottomless brunch virgin and already I am planning to go back. I’m not a massive fan of cocktails but my friend is so I took one for the team and tried as many cocktails as possible along with my pint. Our server Delfin was fabulous super attentive, and explained everything to me as it was my first time. The food was delicious! I had a chicken roti wrap with sweet potato fries and I could eat it all over again now, really tasty and hot.”

“Visited this place cause it was the only restaurant in Curry Mile having 10k+ ratings. We had the mutton curry with naan which was good and worth the price. But the Malai Chicken Tikka was not at all worth the price. It was a scam. The number of pieces they gave for the price was too less. Nevertheless, the overall experience was nice and the waiters were helpful. Would recommend it.”

“It must have been the best oyster I’ve ever had! It took it from a 4 to a 5 star. The dessert as well. Great combination taste wise and beautifully presented. Through those two dishes I was in heaven. The rib of beef was good and well presented as well, but the wild mushrooms on truffled toast was a bit too heavy for my liking. It was too cold in the room, and the service could have been better. It didn’t seem that coordinated or interested in their guests. Though the guy at the entrance was really friendly. This was in June.”

“One of my new favourites in Manchester! The food was exceptional—some of the most tender, flavourful meat I’ve had. I had the pork collar and sirloin steak, both generously portioned, so you’d only need one extra dish between two. The menu is unique, and everything was beautifully cooked. The staff were lovely—friendly, chatty, and even gave me a complimentary glass for my birthday, which was a great touch. My only suggestion would be to swap the candles for small table lamps, as it’s a bit too dim to fully appreciate the menu and food. Highly recommend—can’t wait to return!”

“Easy 5 stars on all aspects! I had set a high expectation on this restaurant after reading the reviews and they didn’t fail me! The best fish and chips I’ve had, not oily but still crispy. The sea bass dish is really nice too. The white sauce is spot-on. Food is delicious and served in generous portions Service is great! The waitress took a fantastic picture of me and my friend Atmosphere is very cozy! Perfect lighting and warm atmosphere that I’d highly recommend anyone who’s looking for amazing food and service”

“We came to Mackie Mayor for food and drinks before heading to a concert at the COOP arena. We came in a big group of up to 13 people at lunchtime, and we found seats on the upper floors and were impressed by the stunning interior design! Mackie Mayor is a food hall composed of several different vendors - with a huge range of options from tacos to burgers it is great for large groups with a huge range of choices. My personal highlights were the fried chicken with buffalo sauce. Also, the beer selection was amazing with the mango IPA tasting amazing! I would recommend it to anyone in the local area.”

“I came with my family for my 30th birthday and was not disappointed. Everything we tried was so good, between the 6 of us we tried a majority of the menu and everything was delicious, stand out dishes though I’d say was the prawns and beef ribs, but that’s a hard choice as everything was great. The desserts were delicious too and so well presented. Our server was very helpful with explaining the dishes, very attentive and friendly. Already looking forward to retuning”

“Fantastic restaurant showcasing fresh seasonal ingredients. They serve a selection of small plates and some larger ones with a regularly rotating menu. The staff were lovely and very helpful and everything I had was super delicious. I particularly enjoyed the tomato dishes and the beef tartare. I managed to snag a seat at the counter too so could watch the chefs prepare everything in their open kitchen. Can't recommend this place highly enough.”
