Lovely little place and a bit of a hidden gem. They have a good range of food and cakes and they have ice cream and milkshakes too

Lovely little local Cafe, good food, very friendly staff and very reasonable prices.

Lovely 'traditional' local cafe that is very popular with the residents. The staff were extremely kind, patient and accomodating when I asked for some adjustments according to my dietary requirements. The food was simple but good and the coffee- unexpectedly- very decent. Oh, and they serve delicious ice cream too!

You've got to love the Snug. Whether it's for some lovely grub and a coffee fix (Flat White is amazing) or beer and a gig. Great atmosphere.

Great very small independent gig venue. Interesting music/film/TV memorabilia stuff on the walls. Reasonably priced beer . Lots of outdoor seating which is handy as it can get quite hot inside.

OMG!! If you love real ale and quality cider and I'm talking pulled by hand from a cask, not pumped under pressure out of a steel barrel, then THIS is the place for you!! The landlord here is a guy who know's his stuff and know's his beers and know's how to keep a good pint! No taste of detergent left in the pumps at this establishment!! This guy actually retired once and handed the reigns of his previous pub over to his daughter, but he got so bored sat at home, he bought this place; that had previously been a hair salon and turned it into a high street micro-pub, with an enormous beer garden at the rear. There are a great selection of real ales (pales, blondes, porters, etc.) plus cider all cask and all for a limited time only, from breweries like, Abbeydale Brewery, Northern Monkey Brew Co., Sandstone Brewery and Small World Beers, to name but a few. A board in the main bar, tells you what's available now and what is coming in the next month. The bar also has a good selection of wines, spirits and other drinks, as well as snacks. I was there with my wife, sister and brother in law and must admit to enjoying a trio of the The Kirby Lonsdale Brewing Co "Monumental" - a particular favourite of mine and an absolute joy to find being served in a micro-pub in Atherton, of all places, on such a pleasant and sunny day in June. If you're passing and you know beer, call in - you won't be disappointed!!

Great little bar with some quirky additions and a great beer garden/outdoor drinking area. Dropped in here with a few buddies for a drink and had a great visit! You pass the "cellar" enroute to the beer garden, all the barrels on a rack which isn't something you see in every pub. Fantastic range of ales, beers and lagers! Definitely recommend! No food rating as we didn't eat but still a great place!

Small intimate bar downstairs with a large function room upstairs. Friendly staff and clientele. Bar is on main street with limited parking and doesn't serve food but plenty of eateries around.

Went to the regular Northern Soul event on a Sunday. Atmosphere was very good and a decent sized crowd in there. Events room is a good size with plenty of seating. Drinks seemed a bit variable in quality but OK overall. Planning to return for another NS event.

Arrived with lots of heavy equipment for a 30th party to find that the function room was up two flights of stairs. Paul was absolutely amazing! He not only helped me carry everything up but also at the end of the night helped me carry everything back down and loaded my car with me. Thank you so much Paul you have no idea how much I appreciated all your help. Amazing venue and staff A++++++

Went for a work's Christmas set meal. I thought the price was great for the options included, and very competitive this time of the year. There were 20+ people in our party and my food was served promptly and hot. No pre-ordering either! We quickly received poppadoms and a chutney tray, which was lovely. I ordered the vegetable samosa to start, 2 of which came well presented with a wedge of lemon and some salad which was fresh. For my mains I had king prawn tikka shashlik. This was served on a hot sizzle plate with wedges of onions and peppers, and a side serving of a medium curry sauce. It tasted immense. Delicious char on the prawns, which were large (6) and juicy. The marinade did not overpower their natural flavour and the curry sauce was the perfect accompaniment. Included in the price was unlimited rice and chips, which was served on large platters in the middle of our tables. There was plenty for everyone and some leftovers. I look forward to coming back and trying some of the other options, as everyone's food looked and smelt delicious too!! Also, a lovely pint of Cobra was had.

I was part of a party of 16 last night . Absolutely delicious food , attentive yet not intrusive service and a willingness to adapt to requests. A really nice atmosphere in the restaurant and I would throughly recommend.

Good range, lots of choices. They were busy but still found us a seat. Sister is gluten free and seemed happy enough.

Fantastic place this, food was amazing, for a main I had Chicken tikka chilli masala with wait for it pineapple rice and I’ve got to say it was amazing! This is an absolute gem of a place and I cannot wait to return

A lovely place with lots of flowers and lovely decorations. We sat next to a fireplace and it was really cosy. Food was really tasty. When we went, they ran out of Salmon, but there were lots of other dishes to choose from. We had cocktails with starters and a bottle of wine with mains. All the dishes we ordered were all so delicious! A perfect for a party. I highly recommend this place.

I have been visiting Bluebell cafe over a number of years now Even though the owners have changed and it has a newer dinning layout inside It still offers a pleasant and friendly dinning atmosphere run by very professional and helpful and polite staff They offer a wide range of hot and cold food from omelettes,fish and chips amongst other things You can order from your dinning table and sometimes they offer desserts as well I would defiantly recommend this Cafe if you are in the neighbourhood and looking somewhere to eat as you wouldn't be disappointed 😉 😋

Rama Spice is one of the rare places where you can get authentic Indian food. The balance of flavours is perfect and the service is very good. A place to visit with family if you enjoy good food.

Lovely little bar, just unfortunate that they allow too many people in at once as the night goes on, which makes it a very uncomfortable place to be. ***edited after the bar responded...I actually thought I had given this 4 stars, not 3. Up until late night, I had no issues with the bar at all, just, as I say, it was unfortunate that it was so busy and no room to move. I will definitely go again, but won't stay as late. Drinks were well priced and the bar staff were great. Toilet's not so great though as unisex environment. I know, I know, you are limited to space so had to set it up this way, but that's just not something I like, I struggled not to stand and sit in pee***

Beautifully decorated cocktail bar with a nod to previous better times of art deco styling. Cocktails are amazing! These staff know what they're doing. Great selection of beers and lagers too! Been in twice in the last few months and enjoyed both visits very much!

Fantastic cocktail bar in Atherton, beautifully decorated & ran by a professional team. The menu has something for everyone & the managers and staff go above & beyond to give you the best experience. The quality of entertainment is high, they have registered door staff to ensure the safety of customers. They’ve recently expanded the toilet area after listening to what their customers want & are always refreshing the beer garden & interior. I own a neighbouring bar that closes earlier in the evening & I’m proud to send my customers over to The Plaza as I’m comfortable knowing they’ll receive the best service. I highly recommend the Long Island iced tea.

We chose Carmen to host our engagement party, very happy with our choice of venue. Had lots of comments on how gorgeous the venue was, didn’t need many decorations as already looks amazing. Great service and we had a big turn out considering we were only expecting half the numbers that actually turned up 😅 everyone was happy with the service; very spacious and great atmosphere. Danielle and the team hosted and helped organise a surprise 40th birthday back in August. The venue and service were perfect and I would recommend for anyone looking for a party venue.

Danielle and the amazing team at Carmen hosted my baby shower and served afternoon tea at the weekend for a group of 30 of us! From the moment we walked in to when we left it was such a great experience. Very relaxed and the team were very attentive and efficient. The food was unreal as it always has been, very generous helpings of everything nice in life and the cocktails (mocktails for me) were so tasty and indulgent. The venue itself is a beautiful place with lots of areas to sit together and the team arranged the whole bar exactly how I wanted it. The bar was closed to the public during the shower which was another lovely touch when you book an event at Carmen. 5 star event! We will definitely be back soon, thank you Danielle and the team ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
