My daughter attended the 11 plus lessons here and absolutely loved it. The tutors were great and we received feedback on progress periodically. They got homeworks to do outside of their weekly tuition . I'm pleased to say that my daughter was succesful and scored very highly in the exams, enough to secure an offer in one of the outstanding grammar schools, even though we were outside catchment area. Thanks to Kip McGrath for your contribution to her success. Highly recommended

Kip McGrath Walkden is an amazing place for any child to get the customized academic support that they need. The tutors are warm, encouraging, qualified, engaging and very tuned in to the needs of each child they teach. My children have wonderful things to say about all of their tutors and I see this reflected in how well they are doing at school. 5/5 for outstanding value! My son has just been offered a place at a grammar school that was his first choice. His tutors at KM Walkden have been amazing at offering bespoke advice, guidance and support all through his 11 plus journey. They have been outstanding in terms of the study material provided and as parents, we were kept informed of his learning journey at every step of the way.

My daughter went there to prepare for 11plus exam. The tutors are all amazing! They helped my daughter and pushed her to reach her best and boosted her confidence a lot. In the end, with their fantastic support and her commitment and hard work, she has passed the exam with a great score! Highly recommended this place! It is worth it totally!

My son has been going to Kip since Year 6 and is leaving now as he finishes his GCSEs. He has enjoyed going, finds his tutor extremely helpful and approachable. I receive regular updates on his progress able to call into the centee anytime, Samantha and her team are very helpful, flexible with changing days if needs be. Highly recommended 👍

Simon is polite, friendly and accommodating. He helped my daughter prior to her SATS at primary school. Her confidence has soared, she doesn't dread maths no more now she's at high school and is doing well. Simon makes the lessons fun, I would definitely recommend.

My son was tutored by Christopher leading to him securing a place at his first choice of Grammar School. I saw a really significant improvement in my son's confidence and knowledge. His creative writing skills came on leaps and bounds after attending the creative writing workshop. I would highly recommend Christopher and Eleven Plus Tutors, especially their creative writing workshops and practice exams.

My son was tutored by Christopher for eight months prior to the eleven plus exam. He was able to consolidate his knowledge in both maths and English, and fill in any gaps in his learning needed for this exam. Christopher also helped with strategies for verbal and nonverbal reasoning. Hari attended the exam preparation sessions, mock exams and some of the essay writing workshops. I can’t recommend Christopher highly enough. Hari was offered a place at his first choice Grammar school and was offered an academic scholarship at his first choice independent school. My younger son, with a very different learning method is now being tutored by Christopher and is thriving in his lessons. We are currently having online lessons with Christopher which are working extremely well. I would highly recommend anyone planning to put their children in for entrance exams to contact Eleven Plus Tutors.

We first approached Christopher in February/March this year. After an initial assessment, our daughter commenced weekly lessons with one of the tutors (Jeremy). Jeremy was very approachable, friendly and our daughter got on very well with him from the outset. Jeremy was very good at explaining things and when my daughter was uncertain, she never felt uncomfortable telling him that she did not understand. Jeremy provided lots of papers to assist my daughter in preparing for the 11 plus and even she has said that the mock test (arranged by them) was helpful as she definitely felt less nervous about the actual exam. We received our daughters results yesterday and we’re so pleased that she had passed and not only did she get the required score for the school we had hoped, she also gained a enough to be considered by Altrincham Grammar. We can’t thank Christopher and Jeremy enough for their help and support and we would highly recommend them to anyone considering putting their child in for the 11 plus :)

Christopher has been tutoring our son for the last 18 months or so. He has such an amazing rapport with kids. He encouraged and supported our son, inspiring him and boosting his confidence. Our son successfully secured an out of catchment place at AGSB and was also awarded an academic scholarship at a fantastic independent school. He was fully prepared for the exams, going into them relaxed and confident, as a result of high quality tutoring and as a result of attending the mock exams offered by Eleven Plus Tutors. Eleven Plus Tutors even facilitated remote facilities so he could take part, even though we were away from home. I highly recommend Christopher and Eleven Plus Tutors. I have already lined them up to tutor our youngest.

I can't speak highly enough about tuition at KIP. My daughter has gained so much confidence in her own ability. She really enjoys learning at KIP, loves the tutors and has made friends there too. It's such a welcoming environment with the emphasis on learning at your child's individual pace. Regular assessments enable you to monitor their progress. I originally enrolled my daughter at KIP when she was in year 6 to provide extra tuition towards her SATs but because she enjoys it so much and her progress was evident, I decided to continue. KIP has also helped with starting High School too as her learning continued throughout the summer holidays.

My daughter has been attending Kip McGrath in Wigan for little over 18months, and WOW what a difference it has made, her reading and comprehension have come on in leaps and bounds and I 100% factor that to the input from Kip. I am so glad I took the step in investing in my daughters education I certainly do not regret it. My daughter loves her time there and looks forward to attending, classes are flexible, the staff are so friendly and accommodating. If you're thinking of additional tuition I'd recommend Kip McGrath hands down.

My little girl was nervous about attending the assessment but she needn't have worried. Everyone has made my daughter and myself feel very welcome. There is a lovely relaxed atmosphere and all the staff have been very friendly and supportive. My daughter has only been attending her math session for a few weeks but we can already see that she is becoming more confident. She is even excited to complete the homework that is set and wants to do this as soon as she gets home from the lesson. I didn't know what to expect when I booked my daughter onto her free assessment. I was very surprised but pleased to receive a call from Sue to discuss what my daughter was struggling and what Kip McGrath could do to help her. I can honestly recommend this centre if you are looking for extra support for your child.

We have been using kip McGrath’s since just after lockdown (so for about 2 and half years) and our daughter is now in her last 6 months of high school. She has learned so much while attending her sessions and her confidence has come on loads. I’m confident that all the help and support she has received at kip McGrath’s will make a massive difference when she sits her GCSES this year. I contacted Ash Tutors as I needed help with my 6 year old son who has been struggling in literacy. As a primary school teacher myself, I wanted someone who was as passionate with kids as I am and obviously it was setting the bar high to ensure his tutor met my high standards whilst I was teaching other children! I couldn't be happier with the tutor that Geoff has provided. Jo is incredibly professional, well prepared for every lesson and my son is already making tangible progress. I contacted Geoff recently as I need support for my son in his final GCSE year in all three sciences. Never having used 'tutor agencies' before I was attracted to Ash Tutors as it seemed to be a little different - smaller and somehow more personal. On first contact I was very impressed with the detail to which Geoff went in assessing our needs in order to find the most appropriate tutor. Geoff put us in touch with Gemma whose approach is absolutely fantastic - super efficient, supportive and positive, going to a lot of trouble, initially and as an ongoing basis to understand our needs such that detailed learning plans are developed from a very informed perspective. She is massively enthusiastic for her subject and her teaching. Her teaching and learning strategies are engaging, fun and everything I associate with excellent teaching and a good student experience. From first contacting Geoff / Ash Tutors I can honestly say that I have been very impressed with everything about them. Most importantly there is noticeable improvement in my son's engagement with the subject and there is early indication it's resulting in better grades.

I just wanted to thank Ash Tutors for the services in providing my daughter with English lesson. Rachel has been brilliant in building my daughter's confidence. They got on really well and my daughter felt really at ease with Rachel and looked forward to all the tuitions. Kath and Graham are an absolute asset to those they teach ! Very student centred. They really relate to teens with ease. It has never been a chore for my daughter to attend each week. I signed up with First Tutors a couple of months ago and got messages from prospective clients pretty much straight away. It's a really easy system to use, thorough checks are made and you have to supply references. I also like that contact details aren't shared until you've accepted a client and they have paid the release fee. It seems to be a really good system for both tutors and tutees.

I found First Tutors online when looking for someone to show me how to use Microsoft Powerpoint. I must admit I have had a fantastic experience on their website. I contacted a number of tutors and all got back quite promptly. As a mature student I feared I may be laughed at however I had a fantastic experience with the tutor I chose in the end. After months of trying out different tutors to help my son prepare for the 11+ exams , we came across Manchester Tutors. Abigail got back to us very quickly. We discussed what we needed and what I was looking for in a tutor. She reassured me that she will match my son with a suitable tutor for his needs which many tutor organisations fail to do. She matched our son with a tutor within 48hrs. Our tutor ( Christopher) is absoultly brilliant. He is very knowledgeable about 11+ which is hard to come across in my experience.
