I contacted Geoff recently as I need support for my son in his final GCSE year in all three sciences. Never having used 'tutor agencies' before I was attracted to Ash Tutors as it seemed to be a little different - smaller and somehow more personal. On first contact I was very impressed with the detail to which Geoff went in assessing our needs in order to find the most appropriate tutor. Geoff put us in touch with Gemma whose approach is absolutely fantastic - super efficient, supportive and positive, going to a lot of trouble, initially and as an ongoing basis to understand our needs such that detailed learning plans are developed from a very informed perspective. She is massively enthusiastic for her subject and her teaching. Her teaching and learning strategies are engaging, fun and everything I associate with excellent teaching and a good student experience. From first contacting Geoff / Ash Tutors I can honestly say that I have been very impressed with everything about them. Most importantly there is noticeable improvement in my son's engagement with the subject and there is early indication it's resulting in better grades.

Geoff was absolutely brilliant on communicating and adored the extra tips sent via emails to keep my son focussed. Jason has been tutoring my home educated 13 year old daughter for over 6 months now. He is completely reliable and always punctual. My daughter is making great progress but most importantly has a great relationship with Jason and is loving Maths. Nicola has been a god send, the improvement in my daughters maths skills has been amazing with the help and support provided by Nicola. We chose the face to face sessions which were in Nicolas home and my daughter was made to feel at ease and welcomed. My little girl was nervous about attending the assessment but she needn't have worried. Everyone has made my daughter and myself feel very welcome. There is a lovely relaxed atmosphere and all the staff have been very friendly and supportive. My daughter has only been attending her math session for a few weeks but we can already see that she is becoming more confident. I can't speak highly enough about tuition at KIP. My daughter has gained so much confidence in her own ability. She really enjoys learning at KIP, loves the tutors and has made friends there too. It's such a welcoming environment with the emphasis on learning at your child's individual pace. Regular assessments enable you to monitor their progress. I originally enrolled my daughter at KIP when she was in year 6 to provide extra tuition towards her SATs but because she enjoys it so much and her progress was evident, I decided to continue. KIP has also helped with starting High School too as her learning continued throughout the summer holidays.
