Jonathan has carried out a number of building jobs for us over the years, laying a patio, double glazing and most recently refitting a downstairs cloakroom, with involved re plastering the walls and ceiling, re tiling and fitting the new toilet and sink unit. As always the work was carried out to very high standard and the site left clean and tidy afterwards. As with many 1960s houses which have been modified over the years there are issues to be overcome but Jonathan easily finds a solution. I would highly recommend Speakman Property Services and will be using them again for future building work.

Jonathan completed several jobs for us, - plastering, installing shelves to a couple of cupboards, replacing an extractor fan, replacing our shower sealant. I can't fault his work-really great. He was clean and tidy, removed all mess from the house, was punctual and very polite. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again.

Diego is brilliant. He is friendly, works hard, does a great job and is competitively priced. He comes up with solutions to problems that come up rather than just pointing them out which I love. He is our handyman and will always be the first person we call. I honestly can't recommend him enough.

Lukasz was fantastic from start to finish, he has done an amazing job, even with us adding extra tasks on. The bathroom looks gorgeous and all work is to a high standard. I needed an awkward light fitting installing. Ryan suggested moving it to look better, a little extra work but looks much better. Also made safe some dodgy wiring in the loft (previous owners) for a nominal fee. All round professional service and an excellent finish!

DIY is a very serious business to me and to be honest I knew little or nothing about repairing or replacing anything beyond the very basics,but now thanks to the fantasticly informative and "novice" friendly service at the Handyman's Stores I have gained many new skills in the plumbing and general household repairs there is an endless amount of tools and equipment and supplies available, so a huge thank you to all the guys in the shop and long may you remain the Number One DIY store in Wigan Lancashire.

Great shop to live near. I have bought many things off them over the years and it was always my grandad's go-to place for odds and ends. They will help you find what you're looking for if you want, so you're in and out pretty quick every time, and they cut timber to the size you need if you ask them. If you take in a list of things you're after, they'll walk you round the shop and show you the selection they have for each item and discuss which option will be the best for the job you're working on. Definitely worth checking in here if you're nearby to see what you can get cheaper than B&Q. I'm closer to this place anyway and can go to the nursery just up the road in Bickershaw for garden stuff so I've stopped bothering with B&Q in recent years.
