A battered old porch needed some major TLC. Dan and Ben not only made it look brand new but painted it beautifully too. No worries about dodgy builders with these guys! I've used Level Best since 2017 when during a thunderstorm one Sunday evening I discovered rainwater pouring in from above my kitchen window and door. That left me blindly trying to find a tradesman to assess the issue and fix it. Fortunately, Level Best were on hand to offer sound advice, practical solutions and reasonable prices. Had a new kitchen fitted and plastering done to walls. Service from Level Best was first class from beginning to end. Every aspect of work carried out to perfection, plumber and electrician visits co-ordinated effectively, achieving smooth running and the place was tidied up as much as possible each day. Also, Dan's expertise on what accessories to buy was invaluable. Price was very fair.

I chose Johan because of his great reviews - and they are all well deserved. I needed a new front door fitting into the existing frame with new fixtures and fittings. He did a brilliant job, despite the frame not being exactly square. He was prompt, reliable, skilled and knowledgable, and he kept me informed of everything he was doing. Highly recommended.

Johan provided a top rate service. He restored our broken Futon Company oak sofa bed back to full working order , which was not an easy task. Johan is very friendly and very skilled both in finding solutions and in the quality of his finished work. I would highly recommend him.

I contacted Johan regarding boxing in my old fireplace and making a bespoke stud wall to cover under the stairs and create a media section. He was extremely professional, kept me upto date on times and days and discussed design ideas taking onboard my needs. The finished products exceeded all my expectations, the craftsmanship was simply superb and the cost was extremely reasonable, given the attention to detail, and skills involved. If you want a professional job then I would highly recommend Johan. I'm definitely retaining his number for future works.

Johan was very prompt in responding to my request and skilled in many areas. I requested him to decorate my downstairs loo. He made me a bespoke boxing in of pipework which was removable incase of any future plumbing problems, with tiling and decor. I was pleased with all his work and although I thought his day rate was high once I considered the skill and time involved I realised this was a fair price for the work undertaken. He did also give me a time frame in which it would be completed minimum to maximum which is unusual for workmen. This took him 2 days and am pleased with the result.

David has been to us twice with various interior and exterior jobs on the house. His work has been excellent every time and it's such a relief to find someone who is reliable; he responds quickly to make arrangements, sticks to agreed dates and turns up when he says he will. Highly recommended

David painted my rental property inside the house and in the summer fixed the outside rendering and painted the exterior to make it ready for sale. David is an excellent workman. He arrived on time and did such an amazing job of doing all the odd jobs I had piled up for years! He put up all my canvases, and various other items, installed a shower screen and has made my flat feel a lot cosier and homely. He’s a very professional and polite man who does an outstanding job and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anybody if they want an honest, reliable, decent workman. David is an excellent handyman and a consummate professional. He cleaned the flaking paint off my decking, re-painted and re-stained it quickly and with no fuss. He did a great job but rain came shortly afterwards - when I asked him back to apply another coat, he did so promptly and willingly. Extremely polite, courteous and communicates well. I will definitely use him again for any future work around the house.

We had a great experience using 1st Construction. They took on our partly completed project and completed it with no fuss. Craig and Thomas were great, and accommodated the things we wanted. We are really grateful for all their hard work, which they completed when they said they would. We are happy with our completed single storey extension.
