“Yarwood Construction has recently finished a single storey kitchen extension, plus a full programme of additional works that has transformed the rest of my house, including: new downstairs WC and upstairs bathroom; new boiler and radiators throughout with additional plumbing; first rate replastering of the lounge, hall, stairs, and landing; new internal oak doors and an eye catching renovated traditional staircase. I am so pleased that I chose this first rate company lead by Liam and Jordon Yarwood, together with their highly experienced and skilled trades/professionals. Before the work started I had a 'minds eye' view of how the finished article might look, but only a very limited understanding of how this might be achieved. When Liam Yarwood first visited my home to quote for the work he answered many of my questions/concerns through being both personable and highly professional. A brochure overview about Yarwood Construction followed: including a helpful breakdown of the full build process of the extension, the milestones/payment points, with a supplementary section on options for the renovation programme, and T & C, etc. I went through the due process of having a number of quotes from other companies but the emphasis on the quality of the work and customer experience by Liam made an important decision easier. I decided to live in the house throughout the project. Liam made sure that I had a functioning kitchen for as long as possible, and also plenty of advance warning when the 'messy' bits of the build would take place. Jimmy, Josh and Gaz (and Lewis, Reece, Dave, when they were needed) were a pleasure to have around. I found them all to be hard working, very skilled and approachable. The crew routinely arrived early, and left the site clean and tidy. Photos of each days progress were sent by them to Liam on WhatsApp. I also received daily Whatsapp and/or phone calls from Liam on a dedicated group which included myself, Liam and Jordon. I was always kept updated regarding the progress of the work, as well as advance notice of significant events in relation to the timescales of the project e.g. deliveries, site visits, the placement of the steel lintels., etc. I could also ask questions via text on WhatsApp, or telephone Liam and speak with him, with meetings in the early stages if and when needed. I found the flow of communication/information, the clear support (at all stages of the project) extremely helpful. While Liam was away on holiday Jordon took over this responsibility while continuing with his own work, a reflection of how closely the managerial leads work together even if I wasn't aware of it in the early stages of the project. Any issues that arose throughout the project, whether it was building related or renovation-related, were dealt with promptly by Liam and Jordon. They approach any issue as a problem that can be solved, with a clear plan of action devised and explained to me, with timescales for its resolution, and by whom. This was a standout positve aspect, among many, as to how Yarwood Construction goes about its business. During the renovation side of the project Jordon also spent quite some time kindly offering several suggestions/information regarding the choice of materials or finishes. They were excellent suggestions that the project has benefitted from, and I see the value of them everyday in the finished project. Its not possible to list all the skilled trades and profesionals working with Yarwood Construction but a big thank you to: Jimmy and John who took care of all the plumbing and heating jobs; I don't think I will ever forget watching John and Matt replastering my front room - those clean straight lines that I now admire every day!; Further on in the renovation process John (The Door Master) replaced all of the internal doors, and transformed my stairs into a thing of beauty; Simon produced wonderful tiling jobs in my new bathroom, and downstairs WC. I am delighted with my 'new' home and highly recommend Yarwood Construction.”
