Went there today to price up internal doors. The ones we wanted were only £1 more than B and Q but the door furniture we chose was ,£5 per set cheaper. All in all we saved about £10 and supported a local shop. They've offered delivery for free as we spent quite a bit. The guys there were extremely helpful. Something you don't always get from big stores. Surprisingly well stocked shop and able to order if not in. Glad we went there before buying elsewhere.

DIY is a very serious business to me and to be honest I knew little or nothing about repairing or replacing anything beyond the very basics,but now thanks to the fantasticly informative and "novice" friendly service at the Handyman's Stores I have gained many new skills in the plumbing and general household repairs there is an endless amount of tools and equipment and supplies available, so a huge thank you to all the guys in the shop and long may you remain the Number One DIY store in Wigan Lancashire.

Great shop to live near. I have bought many things off them over the years and it was always my grandad's go-to place for odds and ends. They will help you find what you're looking for if you want, so you're in and out pretty quick every time, and they cut timber to the size you need if you ask them. If you take in a list of things you're after, they'll walk you round the shop and show you the selection they have for each item and discuss which option will be the best for the job you're working on. Definitely worth checking in here if you're nearby to see what you can get cheaper than B&Q. I'm closer to this place anyway and can go to the nursery just up the road in Bickershaw for garden stuff so I've stopped bothering with B&Q in recent years.

David has done a number of projects for me over the last couple of years. He is reliable, hardworking and extremely knowledgeable in so many areas. He has renovated my sitting room, replacing an old fireplace with a modern opening with a beam. He has decorated two bedrooms, one that needed major work to close up an old cupboard and install fitted wardrobes. David listens to what I want doing and always comes up with a workable solution. He always quotes for the work in advance in detail which is great. He has an excellent eye for detail and goes above and beyond to give a quality finish on anything he does. I am so confident with his work that he is about to start a major new project for me in the coming weeks to convert some redundant space into a cloakroom and an office. I really value that he is multi skilled and does most of the work himself. However he does work with specialists eg electrician as required. He works hard when he is on a job and always leaves things safe at the end of every day. You know you don't have to face cleaning up after him at the end of each day. In short, I can highly recommend David and I know I will get an excellent result. He is in demand so you might have to wait for him to be available but I wouldn't have anyone else to work for me.

We heard of Dave through a friend and booked him to plasterboard over an existing wall cupboard (opening it up in another room) and then skimming the entire bedroom. Dave did a fantastic job. He is very knowledgeable and skilled in such a variety of areas in property maintenance. When winds were high we noticed our facias were banging and a side part of our roof had come loose. We were straight on to Dave and he came out and did this for us. His communication is great and he is prompt and reliable. We have recommended him to other friends and won’t hesitate to use him again in the future as we move on with our house related projects. Vicki and Pete

I needed an awkward light fitting installing. Ryan suggested moving it to look better, a little extra work but looks much better. Also made safe some dodgy wiring in the loft (previous owners) for a nominal fee. All round professional service and an excellent finish!

Ryan has previously done work for my grandma, which has always been to the highest standard so when I recently moved house I knew the person to contact. Ryan has fitted spot lights in my kitchen and bathroom, as well as correcting many poorly carried out DIY attempts. All work was carried out at the highest standard and nothing was too much trouble. Lukasz was fantastic from start to finish, he has done an amazing job, even with us adding extra tasks on. The bathroom looks gorgeous and all work is to a high standard. The house was kept clean and tidy throughout the job and his prices are very reasonable. Would recommend and would use again. Will add a photo when we have painted.

Very good service. In times when a lot of tradespeople let you down , this company agreed a date and have kept to it and not only that kept me informed about arrival time the day before and again 1/2 hr before arrival. The guys have stepped up to it as soon as they arrived and are currently in the middle of it. I would say it’s a medium size job- clearance of front and back garden and overgrowth on drive way. And are doing everything I have asked for. Well done to Two Lions!
