I have been using this institution for many years, starting with my eldest son who is now studying in University. I have then admitted my other two children in this institution and have seen a massive spike in their grades and attitude to learn in school. I have seen their grades improve and confidence grow when going to school. My daughter was doing science tuition with excel. She enjoyed her lessons and really like the tutors. Taking these extra tuitions, helped my daughter pass her GCSEs. I would highly recommend excel as their prices are affordable.

Garry has been tutoring my daughter in the lead up to her GCSE's and my son for his end of year exams, and they have both found the sessions to be very useful, and Garry's approach has been excellent for both of them. He has instilled in them a much higher level of self confidence and they are now able to tackle maths questions with a greater level of knowledge and confidence.

We first approached Christopher in February/March this year. After an initial assessment, our daughter commenced weekly lessons with one of the tutors (Jeremy). Jeremy was very approachable, friendly and our daughter got on very well with him from the outset. Jeremy was very good at explaining things and when my daughter was uncertain, she never felt uncomfortable telling him that she did not understand. Jeremy provided lots of papers to assist my daughter in preparing for the 11 plus and even she has said that the mock test (arranged by them) was helpful as she definitely felt less nervous about the actual exam. We received our daughters results yesterday and we’re so pleased that she had passed and not only did she get the required score for the school we had hoped, she also gained a enough to be considered by Altrincham Grammar. We can’t thank Christopher and Jeremy enough for their help and support and we would highly recommend them to anyone considering putting their child in for the 11 plus :)

My son was tutored by Christopher for eight months prior to the eleven plus exam. He was able to consolidate his knowledge in both maths and English, and fill in any gaps in his learning needed for this exam. Christopher also helped with strategies for verbal and nonverbal reasoning. Hari attended the exam preparation sessions, mock exams and some of the essay writing workshops. I can’t recommend Christopher highly enough. Hari was offered a place at his first choice Grammar school and was offered an academic scholarship at his first choice independent school. My younger son, with a very different learning method is now being tutored by Christopher and is thriving in his lessons. We are currently having online lessons with Christopher which are working extremely well. Christopher has been tutoring our son for the last 18 months or so. He has such an amazing rapport with kids. He encouraged and supported our son, inspiring him and boosting his confidence. Our son successfully secured an out of catchment place at AGSB and was also awarded an academic scholarship at a fantastic independent school. I can’t thank FCL Swinton enough for the confidence they have brought back to my son’s learning. My son can get very distracted at school but FCL have put provisions in place to help him stay focused and enjoy his tutoring time without him feeling “tied” to his desk. I brought my son to First Class Learning when he was in his last year at high school, to help prepare for his English exams. What an amazing service they provide. Harriet and Molly were excellent and added extra time onto his lessons to make sure he was as prepared as he could be. They offered us an excellent service. My daughter started at First Class Learning in September and I have already seen a big improvement in her Maths and English skills. Harriet and the team are lovely and friendly and have made my daughter feel really welcome. She looks forward to her weekly sessions at the centre and is even keen to do her homework! During lockdown, sessions were done over Skype which also worked really well. I would definitely recommend First Class Learning.

Adele and her team have been absolutely BRILLIANT- the way in which they teach has turned my 6 year old around in the space of 6 weeks! He’s gone from hating maths to absolutely looking forward to it every day! There is a MASSIVE improvement in his thinking, level of concentration and how he can now identify the maths solution and number patterns! My son struggled with his confidence in maths and couldn’t count to 15 confidently. He can now count endlessley with a tremendous amount of confidence, all thanks to Adele and the team. I’m so so so pleased and it is by far the best thing I have done for my son. I cannot recommend this place enough! Adele is lovely and really takes the time to understand you and your child. My son always looks forward to his Kumon lesson every Saturday! If you’re sat on the fence I would say just go for it because the difference it has made is phenomenal!! My two boys have been with Adele for three years now. Over the years I watch them them develop and improve in their Maths. They are currently three years ahead in their Maths. My son has attended Kumon for help with his reading, writing & comprehension. He attends the centre once a week, and has daily worksheets to work on from home. He has come on absolutely leaps & bounds. He has been awarded certificates from school for his creative writing, and he is now able to join in confidently with family games (Trivial Pursuit now being his favourite, followed by Pictionary). I'm so glad we made this decision to get him the help he needed, and Adele & her staff have been absolutely fantastic guiding us along.

My daughter attended the autumn creative writing workshop with Jo and really enjoyed it. Jo has a really lovely manner with the children and is able to impart invaluable information in a fun and interactive manner. I found the Crash Courses in maths and all sciences extremely helpful as not only did they help show any weakness in my understanding of the subjects, but the tutors did all they could to help me fully understand the topics. The fact that they provided a single day just to go through the entire specification for each subject was incredibly helpful and I do think that the time spent on the crash courses has helped me improve my understanding (and grades) in each subject.
