After months of trying out different tutors to help my son prepare for the 11+ exams , we came across Manchester Tutors. Abigail got back to us very quickly. We discussed what we needed and what I was looking for in a tutor. She reassured me that she will match my son with a suitable tutor for his needs which many tutor organisations fail to do. I found Garry through Yell and have been extremely impressed with his manner and professionalism. My Daughter was struggling with Maths and I wanted to help her get through her GSCE's. This was the one shot. Garry's easy going personality and teaching method ensured that he and Grace worked well together, even though the lesson was straight after school on a Monday! Having struggled with tricky maths topics I decided it was time to get some private tuition. I wanted to pass my gcse maths so desperately - so I could go on to do my pgce. Therefore, I set out looking for the best tutor possible. I didn't have to search very far as I already followed Mr Mahmud on instagram. Thankfully, he agreed to tutor me! My worst fear was Algebra, but he helped me overcome this with his phenomenal teaching. I sat the gcse maths exam in November 2020 and received my results on 14th January 2021 - I passed! In a short span of time he was able to help prepare me for my exam. Honestly, I can not recommend him enough! He is simply amazing, and goes out of his way to ensure he leaves no stone unturned when it comes to your learning - you won't regret it.

The Tutor trust is an excellent place to work. I began working here as a student and was immediately impressed with the opportunities they had to offer. I’ve been working as a Secondary English Tutor at The Tutor Trust for nearly a year and it has been such a rewarding role. Impact Tutition is a great place and a winders environment to send your child for extra tutoring. My daughter finds it hard to settle in with new faces but from her first day she settled in so well with the team at Impact Tutition. Rosie is her teacher and she is amazing, very caring and knows my daughter extremely well, she knows how to get the best out of her without her feeling any pressure whatsoever. Kelly is fantastic too, she runs the centre and teaches also. Kelly is warm and kind and I feel she is very approachable and easy to talk to. The whole team at Impact are brilliant and I recommend the centre for extra tutition for anyone looking.

My son has been coming to Impact for the last couple of years. He had been to another local tutor previously but we didn’t get much from them. Impact have been brilliant! Riley has come on so much with his maths that he now rates it his favourite subject. I get lots of feedback from Kelly every week as to how he’s progressing & how hard he’s worked. I have been lucky enough to have the support of Impact for over three years now for my now 11 year old son and more recently, his younger brother. Kelly has been phenomenally successful in boosting both the confidence and attainment of both my boys in English and Maths. Kelly has such a warm and welcoming manner for children and parents alike. The boys love attending lessons at the centre. My 11 year olds SATs results were amazing and I'm convinced Kelly had a massive amount to do with the improvement we perceived that was then independently confirmed with the SATs results. The self confidence boost this has given my son is huge and priceless. I feel incredibly fortunate to have had Kelly's support over the last few years and simply can't imagine being without that support going forward. I cannot recommend Impact Tuition highly enough.

Good Success Private Tuition is the best private tuition you can think of in Manchester, we came from Nigeria in 2022 and while we were waiting for school placement we enrolled my daughters in this private tuition to get them prepared for UK curriculum, I can categorically say this move made a difference not only they were able to settle in school, the foundation from this school made a difference till date, we have been receiving positive feedback from their school's aside from being the best in their various classes the morals and path to life they teach the children makes a difference. My son was tutored by Christopher leading to him securing a place at his first choice of Grammar School. I saw a really significant improvement in my son's confidence and knowledge. His creative writing skills came on leaps and bounds after attending the creative writing workshop. We first approached Christopher in February/March this year. After an initial assessment, our daughter commenced weekly lessons with one of the tutors (Jeremy). Jeremy was very approachable, friendly and our daughter got on very well with him from the outset. Jeremy was very good at explaining things and when my daughter was uncertain, she never felt uncomfortable telling him that she did not understand. Jeremy provided lots of papers to assist my daughter in preparing for the 11 plus and even she has said that the mock test (arranged by them) was helpful as she definitely felt less nervous about the actual exam. We received our daughters results yesterday and we’re so pleased that she had passed and not only did she get the required score for the school we had hoped, she also gained a enough to be considered by Altrincham Grammar. We can’t thank Christopher and Jeremy enough for their help and support and we would highly recommend them to anyone considering putting their child in for the 11 plus :)

There aren’t enough compliments for Rifat and her exceptional teaching skills. Her patience, perseverance and her obvious passion for teaching have transformed our son. He was taught English and Maths and there has been a phenomenal improvement in our son. There were times when he surprised both of us with his ability to solve difficult mathematical challenges using the skills he had been taught. He passed all of the independent school exams and we cannot thank Rifat enough for everything she has done over the last year.

Christopher has been tutoring our son for the last 18 months or so. He has such an amazing rapport with kids. He encouraged and supported our son, inspiring him and boosting his confidence. Our son successfully secured an out of catchment place at AGSB and was also awarded an academic scholarship at a fantastic independent school. He was fully prepared for the exams, going into them relaxed and confident, as a result of high quality tutoring and as a result of attending the mock exams offered by Eleven Plus Tutors. Eleven Plus Tutors even facilitated remote facilities so he could take part, even though we were away from home. I highly recommend Christopher and Eleven Plus Tutors. I have already lined them up to tutor our youngest.

I believe that Aim High is a really good tuition for all the core subjects, maths especially. I have been going to the maths lessons in Aim High for 2 years, and I have been getting better scores in my tests because I used to get 90-95%, but now I am frequently getting 98-100%! I feel that Aim High is really good as they set homework on a website called Century ,weekly, and we use another website called ClassKick to enhance the learning we do at the beginning of the lessons, and apply it to the questions on there. The teachers are very kind and they are extremely motivating. They also have a clear plan of the lesson and will change it if a student is struggling. Therefore, Aim High is an amazing tuition - the best I've ever been to- and I highly recommend that you join as I currently LOVE IT! :)

Stuart is a great English teacher. I’ve learnt a lot more than I have at my old tuition . I was at my old one for 6 years but learnt more in the 4 weeks I’ve been at aim high with Stuart. My math teacher is very approachable and always helps the students; his teaching is very calm and understandable overall he has helped my grades go from a B to an A. I finally understand what’s going on in science because my teacher actually takes time and makes sure each student understands the content which I appreciate. Overall aim high has deeply helped me and helped me raise my grades.

If you're looking for a tutor in Ireland, First tutors is the way to go. It's organised and straight-up. There's a small finder's fee for each tutor, but that's the only cost involved, and well worth it as you get a very clear profile beforehand from their site with feedback from other students and parents. Otherwise, you'd have to attempt this research yourself, which would be more or less impossible. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this service.
