I have sent my 2 daughters to Eureka tuition twice. Firstly for an 18 month period when they were in years 4 & 5 and again recently through years 10 & 11. On both occasions the girls have benefitted enormously from the tuition they have received in Maths and English. The tutors are very professional and work at just the right pace of pushing them forward, while making the lessons informative and helpful to them. They are both happy to go and tell me they learn good ways of understanding both subjects. The owner Lucy is also very helpful and keeps me up to date with the progress they are making. Eureka Tuition has been a major role in our son’s education and much more . I send both my children to Lucy. She is so warm, so friendly, and great with the kids. I never have complaints from either of my children about going - they LOVE it. They are not behind in their classes, but choosing Eureka for us helps take the pressure of us (as full time working parents) that we should be doing extra schooling outside of their regular school. It helps gives the children confidence, the boost required to perform well. I wouldn't hesitate recommending Eureka.

We first sent our eldest son to Eureka as he was behind with his English and Maths - mainly due to being profoundly deaf when he was younger. Within months his reading age increased by several years and his school teachers couldn’t believe the remarkable progress he’d made. He’s gone from the bottom of the class to the top and his confidence has soared as a result. Our six year old son now goes to Eureka and he too has developed what will hopefully become a lifelong love of learning. Both boys look forward to going twice a week and they even enjoy doing their homework! There is a great camaraderie between the students and teachers at Eureka and we feel the older children are very good role models for our boys. I wholeheartedly recommend Eureka to give your child(ren) the best start in life.

Jason tutored my son who had really struggled with maths throughout school. Jason really helped to build up my son's confidence and with Jason's help and encouragement my son attained a 4 (grade C equivalent) in his GCSE which was a major achievement and I am so grateful for Jason's input, without which I am sure my son wouldn't have got the grade he did .

I used Maths at Home for 2 years from years 9 to 11 and the improvements in my grades were brilliant. I went from being doubtful of even a pass to a high B grade (6), only a couple marks from an A (7) at GCSE in this period of time. The teaching is great, not just covering everything about maths, but also exam techniques, how to get everything out of your calculator, and also teaches formulas that aren’t typically taught or on the formula sheet which were a lifesaver in my exams. Jason has been tutoring my home educated 13 year old daughter for over 6 months now. He is completely reliable and always punctual. My daughter is making great progress but most importantly has a great relationship with Jason and is loving Maths. Jason takes the trouble each week to ensure that I have understood everything that he has covered (no mean feet) so that I can continue teaching her myself. My daughter has never once complained about her Maths lessons with Jason and if she had her way he would be teaching her every day. I contacted Geoff recently as I need support for my son in his final GCSE year in all three sciences. Never having used 'tutor agencies' before I was attracted to Ash Tutors as it seemed to be a little different - smaller and somehow more personal. On first contact I was very impressed with the detail to which Geoff went in assessing our needs in order to find the most appropriate tutor. Geoff put us in touch with Gemma whose approach is absolutely fantastic - super efficient, supportive and positive, going to a lot of trouble, initially and as an ongoing basis to understand our needs such that detailed learning plans are developed from a very informed perspective. She is massively enthusiastic for her subject and her teaching. Her teaching and learning strategies are engaging, fun and everything I associate with excellent teaching and a good student experience. We have used Choice for Maths and English tuition for GCSE. From the outset, it felt as if care had been taken to understand our needs and match the tutor specifically to us. Our son has attended KIP McGrath in Broughton at different points over the last 5 years. He was tutored in English and our main concern was his confidence. He struggles to finish exams and this was turning him off any subject that involved reading or writing. He's had different tutors and taken lessons online and in the centre. All the tutors boosted his confidence and worked with him to show him how to maximise his time. KIP were flexible when he had a lot of school work, making sure any homework was in line with what he was learning at school. On the odd occasion we needed to change a session, KIP were happy to accommodate. In May, he sat his GCSE and although he didn't complete the paper, he did achieve a very good pass in both literature and language. I can't thank KIP enough. He's avoided a re-sit, but more importantly he enjoys reading and is still confident to write. I don't think he would feel this way without the encouragement of the Kate, Louise and the rest of the team. Thank you again!

Following a period of prolonged illness, we found our daughter was struggling maths. My son has been with Conexus for around 15 months now and wow what an improvement this has made. My son has moved up a level in maths and has recently sat a GCSE assessment and achieved a higher mark than he thought he would within his English. I believe this is down to the additional teaching he is receiving at Conexus. The small groups are really positive for my son and my son speaks highly of the teachers who are present (they are approachable, kind and will spend time explaining a question/answer in different ways). We plan to continue with Conexus until the end of our son’s GCSE’s.

My Son (Year 4) started with Beth and the team last Easter and all I can say is that if you are thinking of looking for a tutor, there is no need to look anywhere else. It has been the most perfect environment for my son to gain the confidence that he needed in English. You don’t see an immediate change in their work but you have to persevere with it and let it work at their own pace. I promise it pays off. This last few weeks my son’s teachers have seen a real difference in his work, like something has just clicked. Not to mention he loves coming and has made some lovely friends within his group. I have been that impressed that my youngest son has now started going to gain that little bit of confidence in his handwriting techniques. My daughter is attending Conexus for tutoring and gaining confidence in Maths, English and Science ready for her GCSE’s. It is helping her massively and she is enjoying it. My little girl was nervous about attending the assessment but she needn't have worried. Everyone has made my daughter and myself feel very welcome. There is a lovely relaxed atmosphere and all the staff have been very friendly and supportive. My daughter has only been attending her math session for a few weeks but we can already see that she is becoming more confident. She is even excited to complete the homework that is set and wants to do this as soon as she gets home from the lesson. I didn't know what to expect when I booked my daughter onto her free assessment. I was very surprised but pleased to receive a call from Sue to discuss what my daughter was struggling and what Kip McGrath could do to help her. I can honestly recommend this centre if you are looking for extra support for your child.

I can't speak highly enough about tuition at KIP. My daughter has gained so much confidence in her own ability. She really enjoys learning at KIP, loves the tutors and has made friends there too. It's such a welcoming environment with the emphasis on learning at your child's individual pace. Regular assessments enable you to monitor their progress. I originally enrolled my daughter at KIP when she was in year 6 to provide extra tuition towards her SATs but because she enjoys it so much and her progress was evident, I decided to continue. KIP has also helped with starting High School too as her learning continued throughout the summer holidays.
