My Son (Year 4) started with Beth and the team last Easter and all I can say is that if you are thinking of looking for a tutor, there is no need to look anywhere else. It has been the most perfect environment for my son to gain the confidence that he needed in English. You don’t see an immediate change in their work but you have to persevere with it and let it work at their own pace. I promise it pays off. This last few weeks my son’s teachers have seen a real difference in his work, like something has just clicked. Not to mention he loves coming and has made some lovely friends within his group. I have been that impressed that my youngest son has now started going to gain that little bit of confidence in his handwriting techniques. My son has been with Conexus for around 15 months now and wow what an improvement this has made. My son has moved up a level in maths and has recently sat a GCSE assessment and achieved a higher mark than he thought he would within his English. I believe this is down to the additional teaching he is receiving at Conexus. The small groups are really positive for my son and my son speaks highly of the teachers who are present (they are approachable, kind and will spend time explaining a question/answer in different ways). We plan to continue with Conexus until the end of our son’s GCSE’s.

My son has really enjoyed attending the online sessions for the 11 plus Accelerator programme. Each week there is a different topic that all the children learn. During the lessons everyone gets the opportunity to talk and ask questions. Helen provides informative and enjoyable lessons. I used to fear using First Tutors: Ireland, as I had signed up but struggled to get started. When I finally got started, I found that the process was very straight forward and staff are on your side and very supportive in leading you through your leads and getting started. We enrolled our son with Kip McGrath during the early stages of lockdown, when we realised just how badly he struggled with Maths and he had a weekly lesson since, taking him up to his GCSE's. Whilst it is clear that Maths really isn't my sons thing, with the help of Mike and all the other wonderful tutors, we are much more hopeful that he will attain the minimum he needs to get onto his college course. With both online and in-centre lessons available, Kip is open to all, with friendly, patient and helpful tutors, my son has definitely improved in his Maths and without these extra lessons I really do feel he wouldn't have stood a chance of passing Maths. Great comms with parents, if ever I needed to alter a lesson time or switch to an online lesson the centre were always accommodating, homework set via the online portal - I would definitely recommend Kip Mcgrath.

Following a period of prolonged illness, we found our daughter was struggling maths. We chose lessons at KIP as we knew and respected the owner from her previous role as a local primary school teacher. Our daughter has throughly enjoyed her time at KIP. She has grown in confidence and far exceeded her expected results in GCSE maths. The staff are all kind and supportive and quickly established what type of learner she was and how best to engage her. Our son has attended KIP McGrath in Broughton at different points over the last 5 years. He was tutored in English and our main concern was his confidence. He struggles to finish exams and this was turning him off any subject that involved reading or writing. He's had different tutors and taken lessons online and in the centre. All the tutors boosted his confidence and worked with him to show him how to maximise his time. KIP were flexible when he had a lot of school work, making sure any homework was in line with what he was learning at school. On the odd occasion we needed to change a session, KIP were happy to accommodate. In May, he sat his GCSE and although he didn't complete the paper, he did achieve a very good pass in both literature and language. I can't thank KIP enough. He's avoided a re-sit, but more importantly he enjoys reading and is still confident to write. I don't think he would feel this way without the encouragement of the Kate, Louise and the rest of the team. Thank you again!
