The place is not very large, and you need to wait in line to get in. The serving speed is not very fast, but the food is quite good. However, the drinks could be improved—my cappuccino was a bit weak. The staff are very polite and courteous.

Laco Cafe&Bistro is a hidden gem that I visit whenever I get a chance. Even with my limited free time, it’s a spot that never disappoints. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make every visit feel like a mini escape. If you are in or near Stockport, I would recommend maybe walking by or something to see if it is or will be open. I went to look at this place with the family, but it was not open when Google Maps said that it should have been open at the time (This was twice, if I correctly recall). We plan on walking by it again tomorrow; hopefully, it will be open when it should be so. Edit (15/2/2025): Managed to visit with the family, at an earlier point. Tried the French Toast, and while it was quite filling (due to how much there is), it was nice. Also had a mocha, and it was good. As for moving in the building, it can probably be relatively busy, so I would maintain basic caution, but you should be fine.

had the French toast with an iced vanilla latte, and they were absolutely sensational! The French toast was incredibly soft and fluffy, bursting with flavour – easily one of the best I’ve ever had. The coffee? Sheer perfection. The iced vanilla latte was smooth, perfectly balanced, and just what I needed. To top it off, the owner, Marian, is such a lovely person, which made the whole experience even better. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!

Absolutely Awesome, excellent staff, great hospitality. Awesome food and what a great price. Will definitely be going here again next time I’m in Stockport and opens at 7am for the early birds and workers, a great way to start your day. Over 30 years in business and well respected by many. I had an excellent breakfast including 2 cups of coffee for £9.50 !! The breakfast lasted me until I got home this evening at 8:30 pm !! 👍 Definitely deserves a visit 👍

We've just moved into our new house round the corner and have been looking for our new "go to" cafe establishment, and wow good experience. Staff are friendly and can tell they care about their customers and needs. And "WOW" the food was amazing, nice clean food and very generous with the portions. It's a 5 star from us and defo our new go to and fav place. (p.s try the amazing protein breakfast poached eggs, beans on toast, cooked to perfection 👌 ) Thanks Guys

Lovely spot on a rainy day. Scandinavian vibe with pale wooden floors and table tops, dark blue seats and panelling at the counter. The coffee is great and the range of cakes make a choice challenging. I went with the chocolate and praline brownie.

An incredibly good independent coffee shop with a great atmosphere, friendly staff and the coffee is always great. Bonus, they have plenty of choice of retail coffee bags to take home!

Calm, bright and dog friendly. Serving excellent artisan coffee. Cool guys working behind the till. When the sun is out in the morning, grab a pew out front.

Nothing is to much trouble at the castle. I am a regular with my family. The breakfasts are lovely with a nice range. You can have a healthy Day or a naughty day with lots of choice. Really enjoying going here nice calm atmosphere. Lovely staff as well.

Super friendly and welcoming, extensive and good value menu, delicious food. Wheelchair ramp is available (only had pram today but other child is a wheelchair user), had decaff coffee and oat milk which is fab. Only thing id change would be to add vegan options and nice caked (though there are waffles and pancakes with loads of topping options). Definitely be back again highly recommend.

Visited on several occasions recently for breakfast, as working nearby. Food was very nicely cooked, service was friendly & efficient, despite on occasions the place being very busy. Eclectic decor, which made a pleasant change. Quirky indie music soundtrack playing which I also enjoyed. If I lived nearby I'd be a regular for sure. Heartily reccomend a visit if in the area.

A little gem in the area. I enjoyed the atmosphere and customer service from the staff. There are lots of little things which might make you smile, like the Lego salt and pepper shakers. I ordered a latte and it was nice and smooth. The coffee went well with the small full breakfast. The only disappointment was the sad looking bacon. It's a pet friendly place.

Was in the area and had breakfast Sunday morning what an absolute gem (can’t say hidden coz it’s on the main rd)but the atmosphere the music the staff the food are all phenomenal did I mention the music play list was pure cool music the food quality is outstanding came promptly hot and delicious coffee superb I can’t gush enough about this place sorry I’m not a local ( no I’m not related to anyone either) if it was any bigger it would spoil the place loving your work guys I had full English wife had omelette

This is such a nice environment with great coffee, i only visit occasionally but always lovely! Also as a side note last time i was there i asked to borrow a book for my commute and the staff were very sweet and lent me a book despite it being an odd ask. Promise i will get the book back to you once i’ve finished!

Popped in today to have a nosey as they have just opened. It's lovely atmosphere and very very good prices! Had the most delicious spicy pumpkin & sweet potato soup, and my husband had jacket potato with chilli and cheese. His portion was huge! Will definitely be back again! Oh, and the owners seemed very lovely 👍

Popped in today for the first time since it's been taken over, the staff are super friendly and it has a lovely atmosphere. Their weekly specials and homemade dishes are amazing—everything tastes so fresh and full of flavour at fair prices. Will definitely be returning, highly recommended.

Really tasty food. I've been meaning to visit this cafe for a long time and really glad I managed to make the visit today. My photos don't do the food justice! Super tasty. Not photographed are a portion of fries we had which had a wonderful spice dusting. We had a berry smoothie, peri peri chicken wrap, fries and turkey/stuffing/cranberry sauce baguette. The menu was incredibly varied, portion sizes were spot on, ingredients fresh and really reasonably priced. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

A lovely café in the Heatons, which I would be happy to return to! The lady who served me was friendly and welcoming, and our order arrived quickly even with the place being busy at the time. The turmeric latte contained a good amount of turmeric (not overpowering), and the banana and chocolate bread was delicious and moist. The pricing is great for the experience and quality. The books decorating the wall are also available for reading, and they offer complimentary water.

A very esthetic cafe in Heaton moor. This place has a beautiful atmosphere, when there’s sun lots of light is coming in. There are many nice pastries to choose from. Coffee is very tasty but I wouldn’t class it as speciality. It definitely worth a visit. Expect it to be a little busy but lovely to sit and enjoy a hot drink.

Had a great flat white here, the service is friendly and the atmosphere is light and welcoming. They have a limited but high quality range of cakes and pastries including vegan options.

We came here for the first time a few days ago after moving to the area. The coffee was excellent, as was the service. Nice atmosphere and lovely bright decor. The only downsides for us was the seating, at 6‘2“ seating is extremely low and frankly not very comfortable. This is probably done in order to get people moving through the café as quickly as possible, but When the coffee is this good, it would be nicer to have a more comfortable chair rather than a low stool and low table to drink it at. Obviously this is a personal preference and the café has decided to go with their own style, but for me, it doesn’t quite work. Two of us had cakes with our coffee which were delicious, I had the cheese croissant which was tasty but having been heated up was a bit soggy underneath. Not soggy enough to complain, but would have been nice if it was crispy. All in although a good addition to the local heat and more café scene and we wish them all the very best of luck, we will certainly drop by again.

The food was amazing, even the tomatoes was well-cooked, the omelette was perfectly balanced. The oat latte tasted so good too, very creamy taste and not watery at all. It’s really dog friendly there, definitely gonna be my favourite place to go for a nice and chill weekend ☺️💯

1st time at Cafe Wargeh, and a great visit, the omelette was amazing it was huge, filled with spinach, cheese and mushrooms, with a lovely side salad, the cheese toastie was full of cheese. A lovely lunch with very welcoming staff.. A very lovely 1st visit. Thank you
