Had our first visit to this hidden gem on Saturday. Fantastic service and quality at a very reasonable price point. Good range of choices on menu, food was all fresh, tasty and appetising. So glad having found this as recently moved to the Marsh, would seem that we have found our new "goto" restaurant.

This is a real hidden treasure. In the small town of Dymchurch, Kent. If your vising this lovely town, and enjoy a real beer or cider, then this is the only place you will need to visit, a place worth travelling miles for. Cant wait to visit again with friends and family. (please note, this is a place for those who enjoy a real pint and does not sell spirits)

In the center of the small village of Dymchurch I found a small bar with a super welcoming atmosphere. The welcome to new visitors is as if they had just arrived home. It's a place I would really recommend to escape the stress and have a drink.

Great little place, lovely little garden in the back. Even when the main street was packed, this was nice and quiet. The staff was lovely and helpful with recommendations. They can throw together a non-alcoholic cocktail if you ask.

Fantastic little place. Freshly baked rolls and baguettes with a large choice of fillings. Top quality ingredients. Lovely staff. I wish there was somewhere like this on every high street.
Rating: 5 / 5
Really good selection of cakes, sandwiches and hot food. I highly recommended the premium sausage rolls, £2.50 each, bargain. And fresh cream cakes are very nice.
Rating: 5 / 5
This is the first time I had ever visited Marshmallow Bakery and I can say I was not disappointed! Do not even hesitate to grab a sweet treat from here, as mine was delightful. Everything which was bought was fresh and the presentation was amazing. I had one cookie, a brownie, a lotus biscoff rocky road and an original rocky road. By far the best I’ve ever had, and if I was ever to visit Dymchurch again I will be taking a stroll to the bakery! 😋

This bakery is amazing. I come from Essex to buy their products. We ve had their sausage rolls, pies, cookies and cakes. Their cream slices are a little bit of heaven. The staff are very helpful and polite. Thoroughly recommend this place, even a long trip its worth it.

Shepherd & Crook
Shear Way, Burmarsh, Romney Marsh TN29 0JJ, UK | Pub P: 01303 872336
Rating: 4.6 (323) Price Level:
Wow is all I can say, as a qualified chef I'm amazed at the quality and price! The service was outstanding and the food really is to die for. Book and you will not be disappointed. The negative comments on here are very polar opposite of the service and food we received. Outstanding 10/10 it's so lovely to come to a proper village pub and have the atmosphere of a village pub, the locals are so lovely here just like the staff here. We will be back, by far the best food on the Marsh!!

Rating: 4.5 (616) Price Level:
Really enjoyed our lunch here! The lunchtime deal is great value- cod, chips, mushy peas, drink and dessert for £10! Really tasty food and friendly service. 10/10 recommend!
Rating: 5 / 5
Beach 48 is a fantastic fish and chip takeaway that I recently discovered. Located near the beach, it’s the perfect spot to grab a delicious meal to enjoy by the sea. The fish was fresh and perfectly fried, with a crisp batter that wasn’t too greasy at all. The chips were golden and cooked to perfection, making for a satisfyingly hearty meal and the curry sauce was very delicious! The portion sizes were generous, ensuring great value for money. The staff were friendly and efficient, adding to the overall pleasant experience. If you’re in the mood for classic fish and chips done right, Beach 48 is definitely worth a visit.

Dymchurch Beach
Hythe Rd, Dymchurch, Romney Marsh TN29 0TJ, UK | Tourist Attraction P: Not available
Rating: 4.7 (464) Price Level:
Lovely sandy beach which is perfect for the kids. It can get quite busy in summer but it’s all good once you grab a spot. There are a few eating places on the Main Street around the beach and ample parking spots around as well. Plan around the tides if you want more time in the sand.
Rating: 5 / 5
Very nice - Very Clean - Very Sandy lol 😆, my cousin came to visit us in Deal, and his wife said there was a hidden gem on her News feed located 45 minutes away from us. I was skeptical however, I didn't want to miss an opportunity of visiting a nice sandy beach ( Deal beach is pebbles ), parking was easy (for disabled). They do have a paid carpark up the road too. The beach is wheelchair accessible, it was very nice. There is a little funfair nearby, arcades too, chip shops, kebab shop, pizza, ice cream, waffles, and much more! I was very impressed by the variety. Definitely will visit again.

I love coming here with my friends, family and our family dog. She loves playing in the sea and running up and down the beach. Great places to have fish and chips on the beach Definitely recommend visiting if you haven't been here before.
Rating: 5 / 5
Dymchurch has miles of a lovely, sandy beach. Great for children. The 'town' is small but boasts plenty of seaside shops and cafes which sell really good ice creams and fish and chips. There are a couple of arcades and pubs as well. Lovely long walk along the sea wall with your dog, although dogs are not aloud on the beach between May - September. There is plenty of parking and even a Martello tower! I would definitely recommend a visit.
Rating: 4 / 5
Dymchurch beach is sandy beach with lovely landscape along the shore to admire. It is a ideal beach to relax, wet yourself and enjoy your summer days. There are a lot of coffee shops, fish and chips and kebabs next to the beach to feast. Moreover it is very kid friendly beach and they enjoy a lot. One draw back here is the interruptions by the seagulls. They are usually aggressive in catch your food.

The Pilot Inn
Battery Rd, Lydd-on-Sea, Romney Marsh TN29 9NJ, UK | Bar P: 01797 320314
Rating: 4.5 (3488) Price Level:
Fantastic fish and chips. Really good batter and huge piece of cod. Had a bottle of tartare sauce on the table, which is my favourite with fish. Much better than most restaurants who give you a tiny thimble of sauce. Would definitely return.
Rating: 5 / 5
Lovely atmosphere to have our pre Christmas gathering! Fantastic good quality food served by friendly and professional staff members. White Bait and Camembert starters came with healthy salad were delicious. Not only were the cod, haddock, skate fresh and scrumptious, so were the ham egg as well as the kids SpagBol meal!! Our Cockapoo enjoyed herself toooo 😅

What a great pub! Actually a restaurant perched on the edge of the English channel. They make their own beer and it's proper beer!! Little train comes past sometimes; just adorable and well worth a visit 👍

Well what can I say but a fantastic place to visit and eat at. I stumbled across this pub on a flying visit to Dymchurch one overcast Sunday in July. The pub is simply charming. Plenty of seating and a large menu. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. Very efficient and fast service. A great selection of ales and lagers. The toilets very small, lovely and clean, and smelt fantastic. I sat outside and watched the world go by. I will definitely be returning. Loved it x

It was a great day it's reasonably priced you pay for tokens to give to the ride person the kids loved it the amusements were great fun it's a great day out for the kids and adults
Rating: 4 / 5
A lovely little amusement park to stop off with the kids and enjoy the rides, reasonably priced and a lovely little town to walk round afterwards
Rating: 4 / 5
A small but good amusement park for toddlers. Not very busy most of the times. They have a token system for the rides for which they accept only cash! Few nearby cash machines charge for the transactions!! But, nice for toddlers to spend an hour or so.
Rating: 4 / 5
It's not a large amusement park but it has rides that are fun for the younger child (U10) and plenty of slot machines for the teenagers. The ride prices are reasonable if you buy multiple tokens. There's plenty of places nearby to buy ice cream etc, and the big sandy beach is just a few steps away. There are toilets but they are small and tucked away, they are however reasonably clean.

Have been many times with our small children over the past few years. The arcades are spacious and a blast from the past. It can be very busy during peak season so we tend to come earlier to avoid crowds. Classic sweets and snacks available.

Pub was fairly empty at the time, but food was fantastic. Proper East End pie & mash from Robins got consumed with a pint or 2 of Proper Job. Good price. Walked out very contented.

Don't be put off by the look of this pub / restaurant. From the outside it looks dated - inside too ( but it was built circa 1733!) The food is amazing, the service is great and the garden at the back sheltered from the wind. We took an American friend for lunch, she's elderly and eats very little. She wanted a shrimp (prawn) salad and we asked for two plates - the prawns were plump and juicy the salad was freshly prepared and there was more than enough for the two of of us at lunchtime. There was french bread on the side - excellent value. Highly recommend this little gem
Rating: 5 / 5
A wonderful pub, very friendly staff that truly made every effort to perfect our experience. We had the cod and chips and the roast beef. fish is the best I've had in the whole of the south east coast and the roast also unbelievable. Not to mention the pudding too, Thank you to all the staff and chef for making our visit a memorable one. We will be back very soon
