We had the most amazing stay here over Xmas. We could not fault it the staff went over and above board to make us feel welcome. The room surpassed all our expectations and the food was wonderful. Xmas day was made special by Father Christmas Visiting and making it all so special. We cannot wait to return in the summer to see the grounds in all its splendour. I cannot recommend this wonderful hotel highly enough. Thank you all.

Came here for a wedding fair, but decided to stay over since this is such a lovely place. Grass, Park and Restaurant service are top notch, I strongly recommend it as a location for special events. Restaurant service is good and prices match what it should be in such a location. The interiors, especially in the restaurant feel a bit fatigued and could really do with some new work. The rooms and overnight service is fantastic, but again you can sense a fatigue in the whole structure. Come have a visit when you can for a weekend, or even better a mid week rest!

An amazing hotel with a lovely room, excellent service and a more than acceptable evening meal. It's all a bit old fashioned but in a good way as the former home of Lord Kitchener. On a cold and windy night we were warmly welcomed into a cavernous hall with magnificent plaster ceilings.
