We had just the most fabulous couple of nights at the Alexandra. It's conveniently situated in the heart of Lyme without feeling like it, and is beautifully appointed. Our bedroom had spectacular views of the bay and was comfortable and stylish. The food was great and the staff couldn't have been any friendlier or helpful.
A beautiful quintessentially English hotel, nearly 300 years old. Very welcoming with lovely staff and tastefully decorated. The atmosphere is understated and relaxed and fits perfectly with the stunning sea views over Lyme bay itself. My husband and I agreed it is one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in and we have been lucky enough to travel quite widely. We are very blessed that we live only an hour further along the coast and are already planning a return trip.
We stayed at the alexandra hotel for 3 nights. The hotel and room was very clean and well maintained. The view from our room was amazing. All staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice, and very high quality. On our second day, we had a planned excursion and asked if we could come to breakfast early, the reception staff spoke with the kitchen, and we were accommodated without any issues, brilliant. The hotel is stunning, classic in style with modern touches. The grounds are beautiful. Atmosphere was relaxed. The only place we will stay in lyme when we return.
My wife and I enjoyed another return visit to The Alexandra Hotel in Lyme Regis. We have always been impressed by the helpfulness and courtesy of the Staff and we found that to be the case on this visit. The hotel is in a superb location on the Cliff top above Lyme Beach and the views are spectacular. Every room we have stayed in during our visits has been comfortable, spacious and well equipped. The Breakfasts and Dinners are very well prepared and served, and make delicious meals. We have already booked our next visit.
