I cannot recommend Dorset Fine Dining enough! We held our wedding at Symondsbury Estate in April 2022 and they were nothing short of fantastic. Georgina and her team on the day were organised, friendly, approachable and the food was fantastic. The team were so lovely, it was like having extra guests with us on the day! Our friends and family complimented them all throughout the day, they really did add an extra special touch to our special day. As part of our venue booking we were recommended the team at Dorset Fine Dining to provide all catering for our entire day. After one look at their brochure we were sold and spoke with Georgina to start to discuss our requirements. The team ensured that our requirements were not only met, but were exceeded above all expectations. All of our guests have told us, that the food was the best wedding food they have ever had. We both agreed that eating our wedding food was like eating at a Michelin starred restaurant, still to this day, we’ve not had a better roast lamb anywhere else! Nick, Georgina & Victoria ensured that the day ran perfectly without a hitch. The drinks were always kept cold (IMPORTANT!!) and the waiters were of the highest quality of professionalism. It was perfect, every little detail was perfect and we couldn’t have been happier. Thank you to everyone at DFD and if you’re reading this and still on the fence, take our advice and CHOOSE THEM!

DFD did an incredible job catering our wedding last year, the food and service was truly sensational. Many of our London guests frequent some of the finest restaurants globally and were all astounded by the quality of food served, with many commenting that it was the best they had ever had at a wedding. Thank you especially for helping us put together such a personal menu for our special day. It meant a lot to us that our family and friends were able to share in a meal that truly represented us as a couple. We were particularly grateful for the level of attentiveness shown to our guests with dietary requirements, who felt truly included in the day with their carefully considered alternative meals. Wonderful meal what a gastonomic feast. Highly recommend. Only negative was the bar man after the meal was more interested in his admin than serving out the meal so we could get home.

The taster menu was superb. The experience was fun and there were surprises with every course. The setting is in a beautiful location and the staff are immaculate and attentive.

Absolutely delicious meal at Osip on Sunday... Couldn't fault it to be honest.. every course was spot on in seasoning and taste. The only shame is that the kitchen enjoys the best views across the fields but, when they're turning out such lovely food, you have to give them that!

Had the most amazing evening at the newly opened Osip. From the time we entered , the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. The tasting menu was creative and delicious and every course was a delight. The service was impeccable and delivered with such enthusiasm. All of the staff were knowledgeable and friendly and Millie in particular was fabulous. I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough. Can’t wait to go back.

Popped into the Walnut Tree without a booking at lunchtime. We arrived at 12.00 and we were made very welcome by the staff and the new owners. The food was excellent, we both had the chicken BBQ melt with salad and chips. Quick service and the food was lovely and hot. We look forward to calling in on a Sunday to try out the carvery one day soon. All in all a super pub, great staff and a comfortable atmosphere. We are sure the new owners will make very good hosts.

Bit of a long wait for food (Was on Saturday mind) food was absolutely fantastic quality and brilliant flavour. We got drinks fairly quickly. Service was very cheerful and accommodating, would return here. Easy to find. No loud music - able to actually talk at the dinner table which is a HUGE deal.

I dropped by one evening when I was too tired to drive home to refuel with a coffee.. and ended up staying for dinner! Wonderful food. Great service and enjoyed sitting in the well heated (some were saying too well heated!) sun room / conservatory. Nice atmosphere. Only had one hitch which was the automatic air freshener blasting off in the disabled toilet (downstairs) which set off my allergies -unlikely to be a problem for most people. But the staff were right on it, took my condition seriously (yay) and assisted me upstairs to the regular toilet. I requested that this issue could be resolved e.g. by enabling a manual mode for the air freshener and the member of staff assured me that this would be passed on.. Looking forward to another visit, when this particular problem is resolved. I hope! :)

Called in for lunch. Good set menu, friendly service. Good value. Slightly cramped tables. Very popular even on a Tuesday lunchtime

Brilliant food, lovely staff. We are lucky enough to be local and hired all the rooms for family and friends at our wedding. All were happy and loved the food!

Beyond excellent. Lunch menu superb. Delicious, beautifully presented, and the best value for money possible. We are always looking for good places to eat and felt this time we had hit the jackpot. Will visit again very soon.

We were recommended The Stapleton Arms by the owners of an AirBnB we were staying in. We had the Sunday roast and it was the best we've had out in a very long time. Good portions, homemade and delicious! Chicken supreme was tasty with thyme and apricot stuffing and the beef was beautifully rare, with a good sized bowl of mixed steamed veg to share. Creme Brûlée with melt in the mouth shortbread and homemade raspberry sorbet was amazing, as were the scoops of honeycomb and rocky road ice cream! Compliments to the chef and kitchen team. Couldn't fault anything! The young staff were on point and friendly, polite and helpful, and the owner was charming. Wish all pubs were like the Stapleton Arms!

Probably one of the best roast lunches I've had. Big portions, everything super tasty. Pudding fantastic

I had dinner last night with a friend of mine and it was fabulous. We both had lamb hotpot. We had creme brulee and eton mess sundae😍

We had the loveliest evening on a Sunday at the white lion inn! The staff is kind and spent 20 minutes trying to find us the right taxi to take us home. Can 100% recommend for anyone!

We booked and arrived last minute after a mishap elsewhere, and all of the staff could not have been more welcoming and lovely! They took us right in and saved the day! The rooms were comfortable and beautifully decorated, and the breakfast was wonderful. Overall a wonderful experience and excellent service!! Also an adorable cat. Can’t wait to stay there again.

Visited for lunch with a Friend. Everything was excellent, setting, staff & service and the food. Inside looked really cozy and comfortable, as we visited on a rare sunny day we sat in the beautiful garden. I had the Sunday roast, beef was some of the best I've had and the whole roast was delicious. Staff were all really attentive and you can tell they have lots of regulars (not surprising, slightly jealous it's not closer to me).

Had a meal, two nights running here, whilst staying nearby in Wincanton! Really good menu and a good selection of beers 🍻 we had a selection of different starters as a main, between us both and really enjoyed it, they do a nacho and spicey or dirty fries dish, both really tasty and massive in size! Also their onion rings are really good 👍 all the staff are really nice and helpful and I would definitely go back, probably stay in one of their rooms next time? 😀

Really pleasant pint and lunch. Food excellent. Generous portions. Ale was well kept. Nice secluded garden. Close to the A303 so a perfect stop off point. Can't really comment too much on the accomodation but externally looked really nice. Recommended.

We searched this restaurant though google map and it was full booking. We were arranged the table in garden. But the staffs was so nice and considerate to re-arranged us to indoor table when they found us feel cold and someone had canceled the booking. About the food, we had ordered fish cake, curry and chicken, leek and pastry pie. All food were delicious, especially the pie, my kids ate all my dishes. The price was reasonable too.

Came here on an impromptu drive past. They were packed! But managed to fit us in. Very clear communication over table return time but we didn't feel rushed at all. Staff were really attentive, food was delicious and service was fabulous. Highly recommend

25 of my family booked this lovely pub for our annual Christmas get together on Sunday 17th November, as we chose halfway from all of us to meet up. Always a gamble when you book somewhere you not been before. Well, the Hunters Lodge Inn did not disappoint. It was really busy at 1:45pm, we had a whole section to ourselves, tables laid out, we put crackers on and had a corner for all our Secret Santa gifts. We asked for a rubbish bag so we could clean up afterwards. Jade was truly professional and a credit to the pub, she looked after us all. Service was amazing considering it was so busy. The food (carvery) was so tasty, hot, lots of it and served to you by a really lovely man. Everyone that worked here showed they really enjoy it. Car parking was fab and a lovely park for the kids. Thank you so much from us all and we look forward to seeing you all in 2025. Our new find 😃

We had a really good, quickly served (by nice staff) meal at a reasonable price. We live less than a mile away and had avoided the place for 10 years (it used to be terrible) but we've now been converted!

We love coming to the old inn for a meal and game of chess. Fantastic food. Lovely staff. Really friendly pub that are always welcoming and hospitable. Great midweek offers. Never had a bad meal here.

Thursday dinner, one chef was off ill so they had reduced the menu, however they had not reduced the welcome or the service. The staff are very welcoming, happy and helpful. Food was well priced and excellent. Wine was also a good price and excellent. We booked again for tomorrow night.

Ordered takeout as a birthday meal for six people to eat at home. As someone who has never eaten Syrian cuisine and often has a hard time with food I am unfamiliar with I was anxious to try but everything was so delicious I needn’t have worried. I asked for a couple of changes to my order and the person serving us was extremely helpful and understanding and didn’t make me feel silly for asking loads of questions and making changes. He also helped me to decide what to eat by showing me photos of previously cooked dishes on his phone of what each dish looks like. He then labelled my box so that we knew which one was mine. I can confirm that all of this food is cooked from scratch as the kitchen was in plain view of where we were sat waiting and we could see it being made and raw ingredients being taken out of boxes etc. The shawarma was seasoned really well, heavy in flavour but not too spicy (I am quite sensitive to spice and could really appreciate the way this was made). The garlic bread was nice, prepared in house and cut into adorable little heart shapes. Chips were also good and they were happy to provide some sachets of ketchup for me even though I would imagine it’s not a common condiment in Syrian culture. We also got a few dishes to share between the group, including one of each of the desserts which were both absolutely gorgeous. While we were waiting I put my phone on charge as it was on 2%, I then forgot it when we left and didn’t realise until we had gotten home. I called the number attached to this listing and they said I could come back and get it, staying open later especially for me to go and pick it up. Super sweet of them and I’m really grateful they were so kind as to wait for me. Payment is cash only but there was an atm just down the road so we went and got some money out while they cooked our food and there were no issues with this. I would assume this is a very small operation run by a local family, they were very sweet and happy to help with anything we needed. It was nice to know we were supporting a local vendor. I would highly recommend Gillingham Syrian Cuisine and will no doubt be ordering from them again. Thank you!

Myself and friends have eaten in, attended events and ordered home deliveries from Kabab Syrian Cuisine and the food is divine. I could eat their muhammara every day it's so delicious! Having lived in the Middle East, it is some of the finest food from the region I have tasted! The friendly, accommodating service only enhances the flavours as it is cooked with such care and the music played in the restaurant makes a visit a wonderful experience. Shukran and we will be ordering again soon!!

We ordered for delivery tonight for the first time (02/11/24) firstly we placed our order by phone my wife spoke to a really polite and helpful gentleman and the food was delivered in good time and was absolutely delicious ! This could be a new favourite for us. We had chicken Shawarma with rice and bread and chips on the side. I should have ordered the tzatziki to go with it but there’s always next time. Well done guys

This popup restaurant serves good food at a reasonable price: only open Friday and Saturday evening. It's run by just two people so don't expect perfect service, you will need to be patient, but it's worth it. The church hall is not the ideal ambience but I guess it keeps the costs to be kept down. If you want to try Syrian cuisine at home why not use the take out service. For the price it's good. Only soft drinks served in cans.
