Catch Weymouth WOW! WOW! WOW! What an experience!! We were very lucky to get a table at CATCH Weymouth  on september 11th and I completely messed up the times. We were meant to dine at 6pm and have the 4 course tasting menu and turned up at 6.45 by mistake. The host was so understanding and got us a table for 7pm with the 6 course evening tasting menu and we were so very grateful. This was one of those once in a lifetime opportunities where you experience a true culinary experience at a level unsurpassed.  Chef Mike Naidoo and his BOH team created a tasting menu beyond belief. Each course was delivered by the FOH team and then Mike would attend the table and give a full description how the dish was created and all the elements of cooking and ingredients. This for us, along with having our taste buds taken to on a journey of discovery and delight, to have chef at our table was the most amazing part of the evening,  to have such a highly esteemed and much respected chef spend time with us. Thank you chef for the most amazing and educational evening and for introducing us to the highest levels of culinary excellence Huge thank you hugs Andy and Miles

Outstanding 8 course taster menu. Beautifully cooked meal, so much fresh fish and seafood. Carefully adapted the menu to food allergies too. Can't wait to come back again!

The best meal I have had in a very long time. Every mouthful was a joy - delightful different flavour combinations with exceptional standard of fresh products. You could tell a lot of thought and love went into every course. Favourites were the pea and cod croustade, the mackerel tartar with pickled elderflower and the jam doughnuts were a gorgeous zingy bomb that took me right back to childhood puddings! We had a fab waiter who really entertained us and made the whole experience more special and personalised. I would recommend to anyone who wants to try super fresh, seasonal seafood showing off what the sea around us has to offer. I haven't stopped talking about this place.

Outstanding!!!! From arrival to departure we were looked after. All the staff are exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable about each course and the wine. We will be returning! My only feedback was that I felt the restaurant was cold. However, it has high ceilings and is open plan! I imagine heating isn't easy and expensive! So I'll take a shawl next time it's not a problem.

Table for three last Friday whilst staying overnight in Weymouth. Very nice evening, Kebab Grill was great, was tempted by the Mixed Grill but, to be honest the KG was enough, Mussels & White Wine sauce starter - excellent. Couldn't fault this restaurant, would definitely return if in Weymouth. Not on the cheap side but really worth the expense. Best to book in advance, it gets busy at the weekend. Thank you the Rona Bar & Grill.

Food was deliciously cooked and well plated to achieve the desired appealing look. The starters made us extra hungry for our food, which was a wonderful thing given the quantity: we had creamy special chicken with a side of rice vegetables, and Penne dello Chef. We enjoyed our main meal, dessert, and drinks. We were welcomed by a lovely gentleman who showed us to our seat in the restaurant; a spot in the middle of the restaurant away from the windows, the door, and the bar. He took our orders carefully and politely, answering our questions as we were unfamiliar with the cuisine. We appreciated that he checked in on us during our meal and served us with a smile throughout, wishing us well on our way out. The tables are well presented and decorated with high-backed, big, red chairs allowing us to sit comfortably. The restaurant is quiet with music playing at a low volume in the background. Entrance to the restaurant may think it is a small establishment, but one would be pleasantly surprised once they walk in.

Had a fantastic lunch here today, i had the Cornish jacket potato (jacket potato with 3 thick rashers of bacon and 2 pieces of brie), with a salad garnish and a large latte, good quality, reasonably priced, smiley friendly helpful staff, what more could you want!

A real traddional cafe with some lovely home cooked food. Great for a spot of lunch.. Always busy for the breakfast with few tables free until after 12.30. But definitely worth the wait. Jacket potatoes with filling are massive portions, really enough for dinner. Recommend the Indian chicken and mushroom for lovely savoury spicy kick. Or plum for freshly cooky breakfast with all the trimmings. You can't go wrong. All service delivered with a smile, and a little banter.

Popped in on passing for lunch. Nice clean & airy establishment. Service was friendly & efficient. Everything looked reasonably priced. We chose to have a selection toasted sandwiches between the four of us. All arrived at the same time and were piping hot. Three coffees, a pint of blackcurrant juice, four toasted sandwiches (one with chips) & a ham sandwich £43. Everyone was more than pleased.

Marlboro

Rating: 4.6 (1698) Price Level:

Absolutely the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. We both had regular cod and chips which was a huge portion for a good price, with a side of curry sauce which came in a small gravy boat. The cod batter was fresh and light as well as crispy. The chips were thick and cooked fresh. My son (17months) had the children’s curry and rice which was really nice and had mushrooms and peppers in. There is plenty of seating but it is a little tight with a pram. Would visit again if I was in Weymouth.

Nestled by the busy harbour area of Weymouth this busy fish and chip shop offers a wide range of fresh goods to purchase. There’s a large indoor seating area available too which seems to get busy quickly. I opted for sausage and chips and cod, of which it was served quickly. The chips however seems a little soggy for my liking but were fine to eat. No issues with the sausage but the cod was nice and fresh and batter crispy.

Food was fantastic, service just as good. We had regular cod and chips with pea fritters. The batter on the cod was nice and crispy, the actually cod was thick and flaky. The pea fitters were breadcrumb coated, most places to batter. I actually prefer them breadcrumb coated. Staff were super friendly, couldn’t do enough for you.

Rating: 4.5 (1004) Price Level:

We came for the beautiful view whilst eating and to scope out the menu and ambience for a hopeful venue and private dining. I can honestly say we were blown away. The building outside isn't the best or overly inviting, however once inside it's very beautiful! The menu has great choices and a big note that they do gluten free pasta on request for a small extra charge! With coeliac parents this is a huge plus for future visits with them. Our food was just delicious and plentiful we had starters & mains, wanted desserts but nicely satisfied so instead asked for the bill, a very reasonable price for a wonderful meal. We had a quick show around the private rooms as they were busy but we were very impressed with everything, we can't wait to go back! Highly recommend!

Italian restaurant situated in a former bandstand on Weymouth beach. The restaurant has recently been renovated , to a high standard . The staff were friendly and very attentive , keeping an eye on empty drinks , plates being clearing away or new courses to be brought . We had cocktails.. very good. Seafood Pizza .. excellent Melt in the mouth chicken with roasted vegetables and a mushroom sauce , followed by a very tart lemon sorbet . All very nice , but not on the list of recommended food on Google ..

Myself and my partner decided to come here as we love see food. We arrived and was immediately approached by a server to offer a table. She was lovely and friendly. I explained I was gluten intolerant and she explained they are affiliated with the coeliac society and every dish could be adapted to gluten free. We were then seated and it was what I can only describe as an impeccable service.the servers were very attentive with attention to detail. The food arrived and it was delicious and hot. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves seafood 😋

We visited for a little lunch on a quiet weekday. We tried the starter scallops and both had the set menu, tempura prawn and lemon sole. Very delicious, really nice food, great atmosphere. Only complaint, I think the lemon sole should come with a tartare sauce or some sort of sauce on the side, not an additional price. It could do with something extra. I do think this restaurant is quite expensive, but I would still go for a treat. The tempura prawns were beautiful , not oily at all and the scallops were absolutely perfect. Really delicious.

Rating: 4.6 (597) Price Level:

We had one night in Weymouth and luckily chose this place. From the initial email exchange to payment everything was bang on. Great seating outside on one of the warmest days of the year, a shared crab pate to start followed by two perfect fish dishes, skate wing and a pan fried bass, followed by a superb crème brûlée. Great beer and wine and a great decor. Pretty much perfect. All at a very fair price. Oh and I nearly forgot the samphire, like all the vegetables cooked to perfection.

We went on 23.11.24 to celebrate my brother-in-laws birthday. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. Great choice’s on the fixed menu and the food was superb, we couldn’t manage the dessert but we made our selection and it was boxed for us to take out. The drinks options were fantastic, including Estrella on draught, and a great selection of wines. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend Sea Beats.

This was our first experience of Sambo. It was like no other dining experience that we have had before. The service was fantastic throughout. The way you dine is completely different to usual restaurants. You start by going up to the buffet station and loading your plate with suitable accompaniments for your meat. At that point you have a double sided card which you place green side up on the table. This signifies that you are ready to accept some meat. This is brought around by the waitresses on hanging skewers, and carved off as you grab it with mini tongs. Several different meats are brought around all of the tables and you can turn your card to the red side to take a pause, at any time returning to green to continue. It is a great way to dine and leaves time to enjoy your food without rushing. Mila and our other waitress, whose name I didn't get, was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Would highly recommend and will definitely return.

Incredible! Visited for my partners birthday today, and so glad we came! We'd visited the Sambo in Poole 2 years ago, and it was our first time visiting the weymouth one, definitely one we'd return to in a heartbeat! Service was incredible, the staff were amazing and so friendly, drinks and food both came super quickly and recommendations for drinks were on point too. Restaurant itself was spotless, kept brilliantly clean immediately after tables had ended, nice layout too and great atmosphere. Food speaks for itself here, it's unbeatable for a Brazilian rodizio chain and somewhere that sits comfortably at top of my restaurant recommendations! Would love for there to be more across the country but makes it worth it to come down south to eat here. Thanks for a brilliant night and to the staff working too for a great evening 💫

Popped in for a quick bite to eat after visiting the Roman temple ruins. The cafe has the perfect location looking out over the bay, and has seating both inside and out. Staff were super friendly and even though it was fairly close to closing time they were incredibly accommodating. We had the seafood platter, and even though they did not have a lot of crab meat, they offered to make it up with another part of the platter instead. That being said, the platter had a great portion of each of the seafoods, and the salad was very good too. Personally I really enjoy radish in salads so glad to see it here. We also got a milkshake and a smoothie, the milkshake was a great refresher and my partner said she loved the smoothie. Finally we also had a couple of cakes to finish our lunch, I had a rocky road which was superb, and my partner had the largest slice of coffee and walnut cake, which of course I helped finish off. Definitely worth going for a nice meal with a view!

Myself and some friends have been renting a cottage just a short walk from the Springhead, a couple of times a year for the last 7 or 8 years, and we make a point of going out for a good Sunday roast. We've tried most of the well known pubs in the vicinity over the years, some of which have been a little hit and miss, but out of all of them The Springhead has been the most consistently excellent.
