“My pool team had a meal at Jerry's Steakhouse 2 weeks ago. It was brilliant, fantastic steak, chips, mushroom and onion rings. Very nice sauce too. The Biscoff cheesecake was probably the best pudding I've had. Honestly it was amazing! 😍 I definitely want to go again.”

“Great find! We popped in for a late lunch. We had the classic croque and it was delicious. A great combination of flavours with a lovely dressed side salad and home made coleslaw. A really great cup of coffee too. My sons vanilla milkshake was overflowing with cream and sauce topping! Friendly staff and swift service. Nice clean toilets too. Only slight downside if there is one was that there are a few steps up to the front door which could possibly be an issue for a few customers. Highly recommended café.”

Golden Fox
Blandford Rd, Sturminster Marshall, Wimborne BH21 4AQ, UK

“We picked the Golden Fox after reading reviews and we were not disappointed. I felt the bar area was a little dark, but we were soon accommodated in the restaurant. Really good to see that the restaurant is a no dog zone. The menu is not extensive but with the daily specials there should be something for everyone. It's worth noting they do not have a children's menu but modify some of the menu items to make a child's portion. Our 11 year old Granddaughter made short work of the adult 8 oz steak! The food was very well cooked and presented and portions were generous. Staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. For the quality and portion sizes, the prices were good A great new find to add to our list of "must returns"”

“Stopped here unexpectedly for brunch. Ordered meaty breakfast wrap and bacon sandwich and 2 coffees. Asked for bacon to be well done and no problem. Everything came out beautifully cooked and very tasty. Only let down were 2 families who deemed it totally acceptable to let their young children run around screaming whilst everyone else was trying to enjoy a nice brunch. Totally ignorant.”

“The pubs staff were friendly and funny, not just robots and also not too cheeky it becomes weird. The portions were the size youd give yourself at a buffet. The price was fine. And the menu had a decent selection. I had the pie and it almost had more stake than my girlfriends ribeye. Highly recommend.”

“On a rainy , windy day we were made to feel most welcome. The rooms were comfortable , clean and well appointed, with everything you needed and more. Lovely biscuits and fresh milk to accompany teas, coffee etc. The evening meal was excellent with all round fresh ingredients; the pie was sensational. An ideal place from which to explore Dorset and beyond. I can highly recommend it.”

“Out on my bike today and needed a coffee. I was on some quiet roads andso was very happy to come across this bar, cafe, restaurant. It looks very nice inside. Today was only for a coffee but also had a homemade sausage roll which turned out to be beautiful. The guys warmed it up for me too!. I was disappointed that they didn’t have skimmed milk but as I was on a long ride it was all good. The coffee was, however, very nice, they made it extra hot for me and made it in a larger cup which was more cappuccino style. Price for the 2 was £7.25. The place was popular with people having meals out in the sun and other cyclists. Plenty of parking. I’d love to return.”

“The pub itself is a historic building, beautiful area and fantastic food and drink. Some might say it's expensive, but when you learn where the ingredients come from and the owners care and devotion it's a whole experience. I can't comment on the rooms as I've never used them.”
