Excellent friendly service. Nothing too much trouble. Delicious food sensibly priced. We had Pork schnitzel with a creamy freshly made mushroom sauce. Lovely. Our friends had sea bass and grilled salmon nicoise and very much enjoyed it. Highly recommended.

We picked the Golden Fox after reading reviews and we were not disappointed. I felt the bar area was a little dark, but we were soon accommodated in the restaurant. Really good to see that the restaurant is a no dog zone. The menu is not extensive but with the daily specials there should be something for everyone. It's worth noting they do not have a children's menu but modify some of the menu items to make a child's portion. Our 11 year old Granddaughter made short work of the adult 8 oz steak! The food was very well cooked and presented and portions were generous. Staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. For the quality and portion sizes, the prices were good A great new find to add to our list of "must returns"

This was our first visit and we were very impressed. The fish platter had a most interesting selection of fish and was beautifully presented . The service was most friendly and courteous. Our only negative comment was that the garden , where we ate, could have been tidied up with some more colourful bushes.

The welcome, service, food and presentation were all of the very best. We had dinner here last time and this was a lunch visit. Our friends were obliged to bring their very difficult and antisocial dog. Nothing was too much trouble with the staff. . Everything was very good indeed

Great find! We popped in for a late lunch. We had the classic croque and it was delicious. A great combination of flavours with a lovely dressed side salad and home made coleslaw. A really great cup of coffee too. My sons vanilla milkshake was overflowing with cream and sauce topping! Friendly staff and swift service. Nice clean toilets too. Only slight downside if there is one was that there are a few steps up to the front door which could possibly be an issue for a few customers. Highly recommended café.

We booked Abbots Court after a chance viewing and what felt like fate with our dream date becoming free the coming year. We knew the venue suited our vision of the wedding day, but it was the way that the staff saw the whole wedding weekend that filled us with the confidence to book (even with a lot of the venue still CGI drawings!) We were not disappointed when it came to our last planning meeting and seeing everything in its full glory and on the day it was perfect. The ability to have friends stay the weekend with us, the informal but beautiful look and feel of Abbots Court and the amazing staff meant we truly had the best day of our lives. We were able to make a weekend of it by hosting a sports day at the venue the next day and everything was made so easy by Kat and the team. Set up was a breeze, we were given a whole day to prepare and that took the stress out of the big day, which isn’t always a luxury that venues give couples. We booked Abbots Court, Almer Manor and the Shepard’s huts on site - all provided incredible experiences for our guests and the feedback we have had from everyone that stayed has been amazing. The luxury and well thought out venues added to our wedding experience and guests were definitely keen to try and stay again in future! We want to say a massive thank you for everything you did to answer the questions (no matter how big or small) and for all the thought and advice that went into making our day truly about us, and not just a carbon copy or a template that couldn’t be veered from. Amazing wedding venue and I've seen a few as a photographer! I knew Cat the coordinator from a previous venue and she has bought her own sense of relaxed control with her. The team work tirelesly behind the scenes without the couple ever seeing it, as it should be. The venue itself is an amazing secluded place that you'd never knew existed. Nestled in the Dorset contryside behine a farm the views are outstanding and the house grounds are manicured perfectly. I hope to visit many times in the future.

I wish I could add more stars! We got married at Abbots Court in May 2023 and I can't recommend it enough as a wedding venue. The house and grounds are absolutely breath-taking in the middle of the countryside and are maintained to the highest standard. We loved that there were so many options from the Victorian Barn for the ceremony, to the gardens for reception drinks to the pavilion for dinner and party and then the house (and the glamping pods!) for the after party. Having our family and friends stay in the house the night before with its huge kitchen, dining room and hot tub and then also in the glamping style pods on the night was amazing and kept the party going in the house bar! Having so many options allowed several people to stay on site which allowed the wedding to go on all weekend. One of the highlights of our wedding was the organisation in the run up to and on the day. This is all down to Cat and her amazing team who expertly put up with all my queries and worries and made everything run smoothly. I cannot thank them enough for making our wedding dreams come true. A truly special venue and we couldn't ask for more. Thank you to everyone involved.

We got married at Abbots Court in September 2023 and want to do it all over again! Cat was so helpful both the day before and on the wedding day setting everything up. We wouldn't have known where to start but she coordinated us all very well. Cat also kept our stress and nerves as low as she could on Wednesday which definitely got us through the ceremony!! The venue was absolutely stunning and the gardens were beautiful. You made it possible for us to have the relaxed and fun day we wanted. It was noted by guests that the wedding was different to any wedding they had been to before, but one of the best! It means so much to us that our friends and family had such an amazing time. Thanks to everyone at Abbots Court for everything!

We had drinks, dinner and then stayed over in our motorhome and it was absolutely wonderful! The food was exceptional, the service was excellent and the pub and beer garden are great. We were made to feel very welcome and would definitely recommend!

We went there yesterday as a group of 15 and they were absolutely brilliant. We had the skittle alley to ourselves so the kids could play with the selection of toys in there which worked perfectly. We had a variety of meals across the table and everyone said how delicious it was. The pork belly bites as a starter were a definite stand out. Thank you to all the lovely team who served us.

I have driven past this pub on more occasions than I could probably mention and always said must try that one. Well today was the day and so pleased that I did! I can honestly say this was one of the best (if not the best) pub food I have ever had. Our table of four all had different dishes and every single one was outstanding quality with a generous portion. Personally I opted for the ploughman's asking for it without the meat element which wasn't a problem at all. An excellent selection, fresh and tasty. I would highly recommend booking, even for lunch, as it was busy, and it's really not surprising why. The service was friendly and a good pub atmosphere made it a great experience and all at a fair price too. This will most definitely not be the last visit to this highly recommended Dorset pub. If you haven't been then add it to your 'must visit' list, but don't leave it as long as I did.

The pubs staff were friendly and funny, not just robots and also not too cheeky it becomes weird. The portions were the size youd give yourself at a buffet. The price was fine. And the menu had a decent selection. I had the pie and it almost had more stake than my girlfriends ribeye. Highly recommend.

Booked the Brewery Experience for £25 which was a brewery tour that came with beer tasting! Andy was amazing, he was very knowledgable of the drinks and the whole brewery process! Would recommend going on a Saturday as he's only available every Saturday! Ended up going home with some drinks we've tried during the tasting and everything was amazing! Definitely recommended if you're heading to Dorset!

What a hidden gem of a place, always liked Badger beers but had the chance to do a brewery tour for my 40th Birthday and had a great time. The tour guide Carl was brilliant, learnt all about the brewery and the history of the brewery and then entered the wonderful industrial area where all the magic happens, fascinating place and great beer samples after the tour. So would I recommend this place for a good day out? Absolutely, O, and the restaurant is brilliant too serving great food and fresh beer. The only thing that was lacking was the shop, for such a unique brewery the shop seemed a little bare and lack of choice, no beer towels for instance but still not the end of the world and a great day out, highly recommended.

The tour was excellent explaining the brewing process and the history of the family owned business. Of course, it concluded with a tasting of 8 beers ranging from their popular Fursty Ferret and Tanglefoot (named because, if you drink too much, your feet get tangled up and you fall over!) to some speciality beers finishing with a dangerously pleasant coffee flavoured beer. Finish with a visit to the shop or Tap room with a Tour discount.

We had an incredible tour of the Hall & Woodhouse brewery by Trevor. He was really knowledgeable and went over and above what we expected. He answered all our questions really well and we loved hearing all the history of this family-owned brewery. The brewery wasn't running on the day we went, but we didn't mind. We still got to look around and have a tasting afterwards. We finished the tour with a visit to the Tap Room for some lunch. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly, and you got a discount because we had been on the tour.

Most pleasant Sunday lunch out we've enjoyed of late. Lovely fresh home cooked food, fair value. Good choices. Efficient, friendly & professional staff, a really well run pub!

Visited here twice for food whilst on our stay and we were certainly not disappointed at all. As you can see from our photos from our evening meals they were delicious, they were presented well and they tasted fantastic. Well worth the money we paid and the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It's also dog friendly and our dog loved it as well. Do not miss out when visiting Stourpaine.

You can always rely on quality food and great service. There are always fantastic events scheduled throughout the year, from live music to steam engine displays. A fine example of a great pub.

Absolute gem of a pub, excellent Sunday lunch which was massive. Staff were lovely and very attentive. The pub was lovely, warm, inviting and quirky. Have been before for steam up but had to re visit to try the food and so glad we did. Lovely experience and we will definitely return

We were there this weekend for a family birthday, absolutely fantastic welcoming staff who prior to the date provided all the info we needed. On arrival the staff were great and helpful, we had young children and a disabled guest and all needs were catered for. Food was fantastic and reasonably priced.

We go here once a month for our group meeting. Good menu, great food somethings on the menu can be a bit more money but worth it for the atmosphere. Parking to the side and rear of the pub.

Well what can I say, 5 stars all round. A late booking, had the family room, and what a fabulous reception. Loads of info for the guests inside the room, chilled water, fresh milk in the mini fridge. Great choice for hot drinks also. Food is really tasty, I had Hunters chicken, salad and chips with a sticky toffee pudding as dessert for dinner. Then for breakfast I had eggs Benedict with salmon and I was really impressed with the perfect eggs! The full english looked amazing from what I saw and every plate was cleared. Food tasted amazing! Can see why its so popular with the locals.

Driving around looking for somewhere to have a spot of lunch, and we happened on this picturesque inn. Staff are welcoming and friendly. I opted for hunters chicken from the specials board, and my wife had the chicken and bacon salad. Food was served in a timely manner, was well presented, and tasted divine. Thoroughly recommended we'll definitely be back.

Highly recommend a visit here. Wonderful restaurant with a lovely ambiance. Staff are polite, professional and helpful. Food is absolutely gorgeous. Rich opulent flavours that deliver absolute joy on a plate. Fantastic place if you're on your own, having a date or meeting up with a friend or group to celebrate a special occasion. I always check out the toilets in restaurants because it says a lot about the hygiene of the place. I found them to be clean and tidy. I will be visiting again for some truly unforgettable pasta! I'm from Australia and visited with local friends when passing through this part of England. I believe the restaurant is relatively new but it didn't matter as the service was first right and the food and beverage offerings were really impressive. A wide range of offerings on the menu and you won't be disappointed if you come here after authentic delicious Italian food.

Greeted with a warm welcome, then we were taken to our table. Beautiful decor with a lovely atmosphere. Very spacious inside!! Food portions generous and everyone in my party enjoyed their meal. Lovely waiting staff who were friendly and smiled!! Yes, smiled! Customer service was excellent and overall a lovely dining experience.

The restaurant was nice and clean. The food was lovely, my pizza was delicious. The only down side is they don’t serve any ale! The parking was easy , just around the corner.

We just had breakfast on a rainy Saturday morning. The service was excellent, prompt and accommodating. But the food! The kings breakfast was huge, delicious and fantastic quality. Eggs royal had plenty of salmon and perfectly poached eggs. Would definitely recommend!

What a fantastic evening at The Three King's last night! The food was amazing, freshly cooked to order, succulent meat, char grilled veg and a banging home made hot sauce. The owner and staff were very friendly and welcoming and chatted with us which made the evening all the more enjoyable. Great value for money and somewhere we will definitely return too.

We went here with our dog for breakfast and were very impressed. We have an eggs royal and the veggie breakfast, both if which were generous and delicious for the price. Really good to have a great veggie breakfast where so many places just do meat and vegan now! Very welcoming and busy / nice bustle on a Saturday morning. Will be back 👍🏼

I can honestly say my partner and I have just had the best roast dinner we’ve ever had. Being vegetarian we don’t usually bother to go out for dinner in Dorset as we’re often given bland boiled veg. The chef, Adam, and staff at the Stour Inn went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we could possible want (crispy potatoes, garlic greens, cauliflower cheese, HUGE yorkshires…). Staff were so friendly and the pub has a wonderful atmosphere. We’ve already booked again for next weekend. Thank you!!

I love this pub. Friendly bar staff. I have found Locals are friendly and open to chat. The chef is amazing and always happy to accommodate people's needs and tastes. I enjoy the selection of ale which changes reg ( always have London pride on tap though) so this is my favorite pub.

What a little gem of a pub!! Sadly no photos, but I can attest to the food being fabulous. I loved the creativity of the chef. Incredible scotch eggs, and his quirky Indian chocolate orange with a curry anglaise - whilst it sounds wrong on paper - was one of the best things I’ve had in yonks!!! Great local pub with cosmopolitan content. We loved it! 😍

Sorry for the delay in posting, We came here at the end of May this year, the staff were very friendly and helpful they even catered for my daughter who really struggles with certain foods coming into contact with each other and has lactose intolerance, the chef was most helpful and even came out to chat with us, the food was excellent and well worth it. We are looking forward to going back hopefully on our way back from Hampshire 23rd Aug 2024. Thank you to all the team.
