Visited with family party of 9 ppl including 1 wheelchair user and 1 infant. Much appreciated that they were able to take our large party booking which was last minute following a family function the day before, especially in the lead up to Xmas on a Saturday. Menu was basic pub grub with plenty enough choice but good quality, hot and food was good. I had chicken curry which was lovely and others enjoyed the lasagna and fish and chips. Portions generous. Service decent and our food came in a timely enough fashion and simultaneously. There was a service charge but would say prices were pretty average and decent enough value for money. Easy to park. My father is a wheelchair user and the ramps, doorways, toilet etc worked well for him despite it being an older building with plenty of character. There were also baby change facilities in the disabled loo.Quite old fashioned decor but kind of part of the charm of a traditional English pub.

We enjoyed a group Christmas Dinner at the Stocks and it was brilliant. The booking was easy, organising each families orders was great and everything was super smooth! The food was delicious, we mostly chose from the Christmas menu and it was fabulous. A great pub, run by wonderful people. Highly recommended.

What a great country pub with great food and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend.

Been here twice recently to sample the steak and we were not disappointed at all. Great place with good atmosphere and service! Both times the meals were excellent, timing between courses perfect and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Will be going again next week. Could be an ideal "first dinner date" type of place or just somewhere to enjoy a very nice meal. If you haven't been there, definitely try it!

We were camping at Dapplewood campsite just down the road and walked to the Old Inn for drinks and an evening meal. Staff are very friendly and made a fuss of our dog, couldn't be more helpful. I can recommend Tanglefoot ale it went down very well, well all 5 did. I had the Old Inn pizza with french fried & my partner had the beef stroganoff, all the food was freshly cooked and very tasty. Highly recommend coming here if your in the area. We'll be back soon š

I recently dined at Rosemary Wimborne, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing meal. The menu offers a delightful variety of Turkish dishes, each prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I particularly enjoyed the Rosemary Steak, which was flavorful and beautifully presented. The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed. Overall, Rosemary Wimborne is a fantastic dining spot, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable meal.

We recently celebrated my wife's birthday at Rosemary Wimborne located in the heart of Wimborne Minster and it was a truly unforgettable experience. The ambiance was both elegant and inviting, and the staff were incredibly attentive and professional. Our celebration began with a delightful array of coctails and starters, followed by an exquisite dinner. The menu featured a wide selection of dishes, all prepared with the freshest seasonal ingredients and cooked to perfection. We capped off the night with a wonderful birthday cake, the perfect end to a perfect day. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and service provided. I wholeheartedly recommend Rosemary Wimborne for any special occasion; it's a place where everyone is sure to enjoy themselves.

Finally tried out Rosemary in Wimborne. Booked a table for 8pm and was shown to our table promptly on arrival. Decor is nice. Some tables are very close together. The menu is varied, so something for everyone. However with the lighting and gold embossed sections on the menu it was a little hard to read. I ordered a glass Turkish rose wine, which was lovely. Breads and dips arrived at the table and were complimentary (nice touch). We had the mixed meze to start, which was great. Main meals were good size portions and very good. The restaurant was busy, so the noise level was quite high. My only criticism was the attentiveness of staff. Once are food arrived at the table, we were not checked on or asked if we would like more drinks etc for the rest of the evening. Would I go backā¦yes definitely. Food was great. Go and give it a try.

Busy local pub with good simple pub food, friendly helpful considerate staff. Two special high points. One, they are autistic friendly. Two they are dog friendly. This made our visit more comfortable and indeed very pleasant. Thank you Green Man staff, you were lovely.

What a find, traditional pub, dropped in for Sunday Lunch with our 3 Labradors. Great pint of Beer, Wonderful Roast Beef with lots of fresh veg and a homemade spiced Apple Crumble and Custard. So cheap, I don't know how they do it. We will be back.

Had a Christmas party meal here, staff were friendly and helpful, food was great and there was a good atmosphere. Proper pub with staff who care.
Rating: 4 / 5
Really nice place for a Sunday lunch. Was nice to not be a chain restaurant and very reasonably priced compared to other local restaurants. It was our sons birthday the day we went, I only mentioned it in passing when we booked the table and to his surprise we were greeted with a birthday banner and a cake presented by the waitress, little touches like this really make a difference. I have no hesitation recommending this restaurant to anyone.

One of the best atmospheres in Lounges that I've experienced. Almost all tables were full with flolk enjoying themselves. I had a potato bravas and a Hofmeister for Ā£11.40. Served by enthusiastic Ethan who has good knowledge of the brand. I might return in the summer.

Went in for dinner on Saturday night, didn't book. Was very busy but we got a warm welcome and they found us a lovely window table. Service was excellent and super friendly. Really wide choice of food and drinks. Had seafood tapas and a lemon drop martini. All good. Great atmosphere. Outdoor seating. Paid parking nearby.

We came here on NYE. The family quiz was so much fun. We ordered tapas and side dishes, all the food was delicious. Good drinks , great service. Will definately be coming again.

Had the breakfast (minus mushrooms); serviceable but not great for the money. Disappointing bacon cookery. Coffee was very good though. Strong and quite bitter, lots of flavour.

Went here for Sunday lunch as a party of six. We sat in the marquee. We were impressed with the service and food. I had the roast pork and roast lamb. There was roast beef as well. I had the Apple and berry crumble, which was delicious too. There is plenty of free parking. I would recommend this place for Sunday roast.

Cosy, welcoming, very good food and super busy with a great atmosphere! Dog friendly. Booking a must if you want an indoor table at the weekend!! Mulled wine and mulled cider a great winter warmer. The open fire was roaring.

The Old Thatch in Stapehill, Wimborne, Dorset, a 17th century pub which sits directly opposite historic Stapehill Abbey has a very warm and welcoming feel to it, from the roaring fireplace to the friendly smiling staff. My wife and I decided to try this place out as we had heard great things, and we were not disappointed. We had not booked, but the staff found us a lovely cosy corner next the fire. The seating was very comfy and I could have stayed all afternoon. The staff was very attentive and a drinks order placed within a few minutes of sitting down. After a quick study of the menu the waitress brought over the drinks order and took our food order. The starter arrived in good time and it tasted fantastic, fresh and full of flavour, once finished the waitress wasted no time in clearing our plates and again the main course arrive shortly after hot and freshly cooked. The mains were perfect, the pie was great and the vegetables cooked to perfection, crisp and full of colour. The deserts followed and again food heaven. So what does this place score for us. Atmosphere, 5 stars Service, 5 stars Food quality, 5 stars Price, 5 Stars

Hadn't been here for a while, but will definitely go back again soon. We both had the Irish beef and Guinness stew with mash and warm chunky bread. It was amazing. It was very filling but still found room for the crumble and custard. Host very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. A real country pub.

Had an absolutely delicious lunch here today, liver, bacon and onions for me and a steak and ale pie off of the specials menu for my husband. Lovely atmosphere and really friendly staff, we will certainly be back, next time we will hopefully have room for a pudding as they to sounded delicious. Thank you.

Beautiful location, easy parking. Relaxing and a warm welcome with a good ambience. Service was okay, along with food which was home cooked and a nice selection. I would definitely return

Food was lovely, itās my second time going. First I can say was better than the second. Unfortunately a gentleman got ill so I felt the attention to diners was taken away. Waiter wasnāt into it (obviously flapping about gentleman) and food (Pie) came out with tough pastry. Didnāt really get a chance to say owt as plates were whisked away. Service was definitely slow but we understood why. Just didnāt feel we got what we paid for food wise.

We were there for lunch. 5 adult and 1 children. Staff are friendly and helpful. Lovely restaurant. Lunch came with salad and a main (pasta/ pizza , many options!) . It was 55gbp per person. This is the best cost per value restaurant we ever had in the UK. Booking is advised as they could be very full.

Staying at The 1777 Albion and ordered a takeaway pizza! It was incredible, lovely base, sauce, heaps of cheese, nice pepperoni, just wish it had been cut, with having no cutlery in the room.. but still managed to finish it like a caveman with quite literally only a teaspoon for my tool š¤£

Was passing by today on our travels and decided to stop for lunch. We are so thankful we did. The staff were lovely, very friendly, food came fast and perfectly cooked, great atmosphere, couldn't fault a thing, even the music was great! We didn't want to leave! Will be stopping again on our way back through.

Visited here twice in one day! Cannot speak of The Horton Inn more highly. We came back the same day as we had been let down by an AirBNB in Bournemouth on the first day of our holiday. The kitchen at the Horton Inn was inundated with orders, close to the end of serving, but the staff went out of their way to accommodate a tired, fed-up family of three. Really lovely staff, incredible food, a friendly atmosphere, perfect location and a definite third return from us. Hopefully an overnight stay too!

Impulsive stop for supper at this presentable & welcoming country pub/hotel was repaid by friendly, efficient customer service, and thoughtfully prepared and presented meals. Both the pork steak and the half chicken dishes couldn't be faulted. We were delighted by the whole experience. Good choice of well maintained beers was icing on our cake! Highly recommended!

Very pleasant countryside pub. Although given its location, it can be very busy. Plenty of room inside and out. Can recommend an outside table when the weather is hot. Nice selection of beers. I had Timothy Taylor's Boltmaker and Flack Manor Double Drop, very nice they were too
