Wanted vegan food on a trip through Bridport and fancied Thai. This place already had good reviews & we checked the website for vegan dishes. Found the short & long stay car park around the corner & walked across with no reservation or booking. They were able to accommodate 3 diners immediately, and we found the vegetables section in the menu. We ordered 3 dishes - red curry, sweet & sour vegetables, & tofu pad Thai, along with sticky rice & coconut steamed rice. All the dishes were absolutely delicious. The server checked with us whether we were veggie or vegan and also provided a delicious variety starter with tempura veg & spring rolls. They were so nice! I would definitely recommend this restaurant as the food is brilliant, the service was quick & the servers knew their dishes so as to be able to advise on ingredients.

What a wonderful place to eat. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and professional. The food, simply delicious. There were 8 of us dining and we all enjoyed every single course. Will definitely return. Highly recommended!

We didn’t even know until this place existed, until today. We thought we’d give it a go as we’re both foodies and like something different. And your restaurant hit the spot! The carriages are super cosy, warm and beautifully designed. The octopus starter must be one of the best starters we have had in a long time. Keep doing what you’re doing as you are doing the right thing! We will definitely be back when we’re in the area again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We ate here whilst on holiday as a treat for our grandsons, whilst for 4 the price was a little high, but the food more than made up for it, the food was awesome, each of our meals were beautifully cooked and presented. Staff were lovely. All in all a lovely evening in great surroundings.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. We went there for the spectacular and it was everything the name suggests and more, it was absolutely spectacular! The seafood was cooked to perfection and the taste was absolutely amazing. My son had the cabonara and said it was the best food he has tasted ever! We then finished our meal off with their raspberry cheesecake which was creamy and so fresh. We will definitely be back even if it’s a 3 hour drive from home, would drive all that way for that meal all over again. Great value for money and the atmosphere was lovely, the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Thank you so much Olive Tree we will see you again.

The best service we have experienced in a restaurant in ten years. Our host was happy to alter how my wife's fish was cooked to reduce the seasoning. Her Sea Bream and my seafood medley were prepared with excellent produce to a superb standard and well sized. Our lad was very happy with an excellent authentic pizza. Table service was quick, polite yet not at all overbearing. In summary, excellent seafood, very well prepared, attractively presented with understated yet world class service to match. We couldn't recommend more highly

Come across this restaurant by chance. My word What a Find!! The food was amazing Sea food very fresh, delicious!!! beautifully presented and friendly service, and amazing price. We can’t wait to return. Well done chef👏👏

This is a great place for seafood. The pizzas are nice too - they have a pizza oven. I recommend the catch of the day. It comes with a nice butter sauce and a nice selection of steamed veg, slightly different than usual, which was quite lovely. If you like mussels, the seafood spectacular is the one to go for. I also enjoyed the fish soup. Attentive service and nice atmosphere. It’s nice either for lunch or dinner. I’ve found, if I just walk in, I won’t be guaranteed a table because it’s quite popular. Best to call ahead and book.

Really wonderful breakfast at Soulshine on our way back to London from a weekend in Lyme Regis. This is clearly a place that's valued by their community - filling up quickly from the doors opening, multiple people asking if their favoured staff member was working that day... always a good sign. Out front is for coffee and pastries to take away, but through the back is the main event - a gorgeous restaurant space with outside seating for sunny days. Both kid- and dog-friendly, and with a crowd-pleasing menu that children will love for its simplicity and the grown-ups will appreciate for the quality of the locally-sourced ingredients used. Of the breakfast menu, the baked beans are exceptional and the home-made kimchee is another highlight. If you're like us you'll walk away from Soulshine thoroughly charmed, and resolved to return for dinner the next time you're in the area.

Excellent brunch! We stopped by on a long drive from Cornwall to Brighton for brunch and loved this cafe. A great space with more room at the back so bigger than you initially think. Good coffee and great brunch options - plenty of vegetarian ones too. Service was very friendly. A super convenient stopping point too as only 3 mins off of the A road and with a car park just across the road.

What to say? Beautiful, well decorated, wonderfully staffed with friendly people, great quality, well made food, great coffee, nice rear garden, wonderful products for sale, the lost goes on and on. I will definitely pay another visit next time I am in Bridport. This coffee is on my all time favourites. Thank you for the great experience!

I'd earmarked this place for our visit to Bridport and on the day we went it was tipping it down with rain and it was packed. There was a queuing system for lunch tables, so we waited in line and watched with interested as the chefs plated up in the open kitchen. Service was efficient, friendly, and the menu is full of interesting options, plus loads for vegans (which we both are). We opted for the split pea hummus, soup, and chocolate & hazelnut buckwheat slice. All were absolutely divine. There is a little shop at the front selling coffee beans, cakes, jarred bits etc. Wish this place was closer to where we lived, I'd be in there all the time.

Absolutely delighted to experience the food at Seagulls for our first dinner in West Bay. Traditional cuisine, expertly prepared. We chose Baked Hake special main course which was delicious with amazing Dorset Crab soup and deep fried Squid as starters and Bread & Butter pudding and Lemon Posset for desserts. All freshly prepared and well worth the price of £85 for two. Don't hesitate to book if you get the chance. NB Seasonal closure November to February.

Seagulls restaurant is the best place to eat in West Bay in our opinion. The food is consistently amazing and the service is great! I had the Thai green curry and home made bread and butter pudding. I can’t wait to go back and have it again! I have tried several things on the menu and they have all been wonderful!

Wow what a place to have dinner . Everything far more than perfect . Service was the best I have had anywhere Thankyou. Just had another meal here two days later . Food exceptional. Service exceptional. Steak tender and cooked to perfection.

Lovely little place. Food was just amazing, I had the hake and it was cooked to perfection. Vegetables and chips came out piping hot and even the kids meals were really good quality, the chicken nuggets were lovely! Service friendly and attentive and it was reasonably priced too. Would definitely recommend. Ate at a few restaurants in West Bay this one is by far the best! Was also nice to find a place to eat where I didn’t have to smell wet dog!

We visited the Half Moon whilst on our minimoon in Dorset. We wanted a lovely “home cooked” Sunday roast and boy did they deliver. The food was exceptional. They also had a band playing in the garden and a magician coming round to the tables (when you weren’t eating) and it was great! Highly recommend and if we’re ever back in the area, we’d definitely visit again.

Hi called in today with my other half after visiting the local churches grave yard to lay some flowers and was very pleasantly surprised with the new landlord and landlady they was lovely. Will visit again . Good luck you will do well . Will visit again

If there is one thing you should do before you keel over is go to The Half Moon and try their food. They have amazing customer service from the get go, great COVID regulations, ths canopee was such a lovely atmosphere with beautiful lights and fire heaters. Wildflowers and brilliant music. Such a lovely atmosphere all round and the food was to die for. It was absolutely delicious and we are definitely going back. Hopefully every year! Ordered a Sunday roast delivery. Delivery arrived on time and was hot. Food was amazing and very large portions. Highly recommend.

It's always a pleasure.... shame they don't serve food all day as I'm sure they could continue filling the seats but I fully understand people need time off! Great atmosphere and lots of local memorabilia

This is the second time we have visited while on holiday the first last year. Very reasonable priced on meals they serve and very good food, the service is very good and staff very friendly. A place to go when you have your four legged friend with you. Try The Trawlermens Platter you will not be disappointed.

From the moment we walked in with our two small dogs I had high expectations. There is a great ambiance here, and the decor is great, fresh flowers in the ladies loo is an extra nice touch. For lunch I had local mussels, absolutely delicious and hubby had faggots which he thoroughly enjoyed. Looking at their flyer they have a lot going on from live music to quiz nights and a book club and even more. I wish this pub was in my village but we will be back to visit again before long.

I think we paid around £10 for 3 babyccinos, a double espresso and 2 packets of biscuits, which given today’s prices is pretty good 🙌🏻 Side note: the Babyccinos are awesome. They’re £1.45 and you get frothy milk with marshmallows but a cheaper version for kids. Highly recommend and the kids loved them👌🏻 I could imagine that it would be quite relaxing and enjoyable, but we had 3 kids. Sitting in a cafe is generally not all that enjoyable with kids but they were quite bearable and no one died. And big up to the member of staff that took the time to have a chat with one of our kids and even gave them all paper bags to collect treasure in from the beach 🙌🏻

We have been coming to the windy cafe on a regular basis. Some times we just have a coffee , which always comes out lovely and hot , we bring family and friends to eat here. Very good choices on the menu .when brought to your table its well presented and hot. Service is excellent. Highly recommend this place to everyone.

It was windy inside but a hellabullo outside...great cafe with great views. Great menu and service was prompt and with a smile. Our dog loved the attention and the doggie sausage which was a nice touch. Food was well presented and tasty and hit the spot. The cafe has an extension menu and do great breakfast upto midday. Lovely cakes too but we were full from our lunch. Recommend the coated chips with. Cheese and pulled pork...yum 😋

Came here on a recommendation of a family member and I was glad I did! It was a busy day and the staff were clearly rushing all over the place, with our food taking quite a while to arrive. However, our breakfast was fresh, hot and most importantly; extremely tasty! Great quality sausages (a big hit for me) and thick cut bacon. Minor complaint that I received fried bread instead of toast, but it wasn't enough for me to raise it at the time. Nice coffee too! Even had some colouring bits for young kids, which is a nice touch.

Amazing place to eat for a special meal or to find great seafood. We had the chowder on special for starter which was insane! Fish pie was lovely but the prawn curry was to die for. Will be returning 10/10! Also lovely interiors, nice atmosphere and staff were lovely, attentive and ensured we had enough room with our dogs

My big sister beryl. The wannabe Mrs ,Bucket. Took mum and dad too this restaurant for a Christmas meal. Having just had new dentures. Dad put his teeth under a napkin. On the side plate ... And completely forgot about them. Imagine the young waitresses surprise. Thought she had a Christmas tip..🎄🎄🐥😄. Only too find dad's teeth. Beryl red faced went back a couple of days later too get them So he could chew her burnt offerings for Christmas day..

I can firmly recommend this restaurant. We came here for a dinner and were very surprised. Everything was exceptionally tasty and very well decorated. Service was fast, the waitresses were all friendly. The food took a while but the place was full. We sat in the dog friendly garden. We had three starters to share, prawns, the cauliflower and BBQ pulled pork. Especially the cauliflower was awesome. To the point. Lots of spices, great sauce, spicy. The fries were crisp even covered with sauce. We then shared the fish curry. Another surprise. Also spicy, the rice was perfect, crisp vegetables and a delightful sauce over the shrimps, the fish and the mussels which were outstanding huge. The prices for such high quality are very OK. The negative reviews could be explained by the season. We were told that during summer vacation the near campground is flooded with people who then also flood this place.

Absolutely amazing roast and I’ve eaten a lot of roasts!! Huge portions and the meal included cauliflower cheese at no extra cost. Lovely pub garden in a beautiful little village. Golden Cap on a nearby so I’d recommend a long walk along the gorgeous Jurassic coast followed by a roast at this gem of a pub
